I remember when Humility released when I was in my art class freshman year of high school and I couldn’t wait to come home and watch it. It was so exciting to see it over and over, and the singles being released then were so fun! I remember the album being released early and I couldn’t wait so I stayed up past midnight to listen to it. Hearing the studio version of Idaho made me cry cuz I loved it live, and wanted so desperately for an official version. Ever since that night it’s been my favorite Gorillaz album and I listened to it just as much as I did Plastic Beach. I hadn’t listened to it in a few years in its entirety until now. It still holds up as my favorite, and it’s just this journey I can’t describe, but it gives such a big wave of nostalgia. I think one reason it became hard to listen to at points was because in 2019 my grandpa passed away and I would listen to Souk Eye at times to help cope. It’s still makes me think of him, but in a positive way. I’m surprised that it’s already almost been 5 years, it still feels like yesterday that it came out. Thank you Gorillaz for being one of my favorite bands!
Love reading comments from younger gens and their stories and memories of discovering this band and which album being 45 yrs old and been a fan since they first dropped 20 yrs ago. Never heard anything like them then and haven't since. Such funk, soulful grooves that are bizarre alt pop original style
My favorite album of Gorillaz, there's nothing like a meh song here. The album it's so dreamin, ethereal and felt more like a personal piece of work. Cheers

Down to skip Hollywood. The album has this 2-D solo project feel and more than I dislike the song on it's individual merits, it doesn't fit that concept. Now if it was a stand out, that could be overlooked, but it isn't.
It's kinda crazy to think this album came out nearly 4 years ago, I was in my last year of middle school when the first single dropped and it was amazing. That summer was memorable, but like the story the songs tell, that tail end of the summer really settled down and went out on a melancholy note. Good times to look back on but also some really sad ones too, and that's why I love this album.
This album makes me miss 7th grade since I discovered Gorillaz a couple months after The Now Now was released. I totally miss that summer too. Ever since 2019, it hasn’t been the same, but this year, summer feels like it’ll be normal again (hopefully) so I’m listening to this album like almost everyday and I love how it feels. The redemption arc!
This is the best album❤
It's a great album but it just gets stuck in that one tempo. Needed a few more bangers to lift the mid section. A great one to chill out to though and nothing wrong with that. As another person commented, for me, best album so far is Plastic Beach
Souk Eye Best song for this album
Yes.
I always said "tranz gotta be the only song in the whole Humanz album I like" now I realize it wasn't even from Humanz but from The Now Now
Hey, accession was great!
I will not tolerate this Saturnz Bars slander
* Sobs in Busted and Blue. *
Don't slander Humanz man it's a great album. But I gotta say The Now Now is my favorite album
