CHIECHAMA VILLAGE PREPARES FOR 2ND JHUM FAIR 2024

Chiechama village on July 29, to witness the practice of Jhum cultivation, a traditional farming method in Nagaland. Meet the chairperson of Chiechama village and learn about the significance of Jhoom farming in the community. Discover how this ancient practice involves slashing and burning forest trees to harvest crops. The 2nd Jhum Fair on August 23, 2024, at Amphitheatre, Chiechama, where locals will exhibit, sell, and promote their fresh produce. Last year's fair generated an estimated income of ₹1 crore, and this year's event promises to be even bigger.

Govt, Department should give seminar time to timee ery village how to cultiate maze,cucmber,tomato,chilli.Pumkin,ginger.....all are cash crop ,there is potintial to earn a lot.
Only cutivation can solve 50% of unemployed youths and our state will become sources of organic food produce

Those that pour their heart and soul can earn more an average lakh in this season.
Back in 2016, i witnessed a mother who gave 17,000 tentithe in our church. All from selling green vegetables in this season.

Regardless of status, these days our people permanently residing in Kohima are more enthusiastic than those villagers in jhum cultivation. Best reason is to sweat and stay healthy as High blood pressure and diabetes and alike are the stress of health issues in our modern society.
They farm, they sweats and eat pure and organic veggies.
In short, lakhpatis and crorepatis cultivate larger areas and produces more than the poor villagers.
Many retired persons are farming bountifully in our village today.
Every household practice jhum cultivation.
