Murder HATES Killer and Killer DOESN'T CARE about Murder.
It's understandable since the Bad Sanses never formed for comfort and compassion in the first place.
The two never listen when Nightmare tells them to stop fighting, and Nightmare is sick of listening to their bickering, so as punishment, he's the one who formed the hole behind them which they fell through, creating illusions and callbacks to their guilt, inner pain, and trauma.
(Afterwards, they simply fell back to where they started.)
