I like this! I use a Battery Tender; my serious car lives in the garage during the salt season. It comes in a big-ish metal box. No voltage display, unfortunately. Doesn't charge as quickly as the Gooloo, but has been functionally reliable for the past 16 years. I'll take a look at this product.
@@akaadamrgWhat a dumb comment. Having the extra 'pep' actually makes you safer on the road as long as you don't drive like an idiot. Sometimes you need the extra power to avoid collisions. If you have a car with basically no power and you need to accelerate fast to avoid a collision, you're toast.
Some important features for this battery tender were left out - firstly, this model has 'de-sulfation' capability; secondly, the O-ring extension is used mainly for extending the SAE cable to access the battery terminals from outside and to avoid opening the hood every time one needs to charge the battery.
Hey Doc… I left a comment before about the Craftsman Professional Stubby Screwdrivers…. Well, i just uploaded a short clip to show what I am talking about. Given what you like about the screwdrivers in your videos, I think you would really love this. I don’t think they make them anymore, I got them at Sears about 10-12 years ago.
Have you ever checked the health of the battery after charging it with unit? The reason why I ask is I had an energizer charger that works the same as this but after I would charge my battery with it I put my battery tester on and it read that I had a full charge but the health was depleted and my tester recommended I replace the battery. Well this was a brand new battery, but as soon as I ran the car for 15 mins or so the health was back up to 100%. I took the energizer back to Costco and ordered the gooloo as I think I must have got a faulty unit.
Hey doc if you use your vintage stuff in the garage where do you use the new stuff ? Ij the house when fixing your purse? Just teasing doc i fo the same
Hello again Doc Thank you for another Great Video. If I understood what you said. This device doesn't have a battery to jump a dead battery. Correct or not?
I'm going to step on the 3rd rail it's got to be better than a Norco but I use a jnc770 I know how to hook one up without blowing up a battery jump pack or frying a computer or electric in the vehicle
I have a similar( virtually same) tender . The manual says to connect ground( neg) clamp to “ chassis ground” when battery is installed in vehicle and connected. I know…I know…” ground is ground”. Just sayin’ ….thats what the manual says.

Doc, take a look at the Gooloo GP4000. It can actually start vehicles with dead batteries.
I don’t have this brand, but these things are really handy. The one I have is exactly like it but a different name on it.
You should do the emission delete on that 22r it REALLY wakes up the engine a lot! Best thing I did to my 22r, made it quite peppy.
Because pep > laws/health 🙄

The garage stuff gets borrowed, misplaced, and abused and misused. I’ll carry a bag of the good stuff out to the garage for big or long term projects.
So, I'm in a debate between the (S) 4, 6, or 10 Amp. Can you please explain why you would want the 4 or 6 or 10.
Can i chargar direct on the car
Hello again Doc
Thank you for another Great Video. If I understood what you said. This device doesn't have a battery to jump a dead battery. Correct or not?
Correct. This device is just a battery charger/tender. I will highlight other jump starters in the future. I've shown some in the past.
Lol. Do I plug this in the wall and charge it 1st. 😊
Can this over charge batteries if left on for months?
Supposedly no.
In manual it says no
