The clothing, the jewelry...so beautiful, so feminine...so historical and contemporary at the same time...no place for weirdness or that sense of ugliness that everybody embraces looking for modernity....omg...this is so marvelous every single outfit is so delicate and powerful in its beauty...some of them remind me of Pasolini's Medea...absolutely amazing!

The first ever runway show I got emotional. It was so beautifully done this is by far one of the best runway shows I've ever seen where everything fell into place: scenery, music, models, clothes.
seriously this is the best fashion show ive seen ,everything looks really elegant with a weird Gothic warrior vibe and i looove the dresses with the capes they have a sense of queenly status but i especially like the looser ones(dresses) .Lets hope they make a men version (with knight,kings and such, maybe Greek inspired but keep the modern flare)

There were tears, a lot, because I felt the love, the nostalgia, the memories and the dedication. Amazing collection. Amazing Pierpaolo and Maria Grazia.
The first piece of music is the Agnus Dei which Samuel Barber transcribed for choir from his own masterpiece, Adagio For Strings. He transcribed the Adagio For Strings based on the suggestion of Arturo Toscanini, Toscanini told Barber if he would transcribe the second movement of his first String Quartet for string orchestra, then he, Toscanini, would conduct the world premier. The rest is history. The next piece was from the 1986 movie, The Mission, and is associated with the character, Gabriel. Entitled Gabriel's Oboe. The Mission's film score was composed by Ennio Morricone. The score was the most outstanding part of the movie and is, really, the main reason we remember the movie. The music is still played whenever a melody of profound and unearthly beauty is needed. As for the rest of the movie I do not know.

this whole collection was breath taking. I didn't see any piece that I didn't like. I didn't say I would've added this or I wouldn't have put that or it was to much or not enough for any piece everything was simply amazing
The designer was able to capture the feminine essence through the delicate fabrics and the lace gave that mystical air, giving the black a unique role, with no other to say magnificent.
The only couture that happens to touch my heart. It's like watching a beautiful historical roman film but executed in this beautiful couture clothes. It doesn't need an intellectual mind to love this collection. It is obviously well receive by people in that fashion show and can we imagine how emotional if were all to witness this. We don't need the famous fashion press or bloggers with their force beautiful critic to appreciate this one. The best of the season followed by maison margiela and sad to say about fendi, i like it but it bothers me that a lot of animals had been skin to execute that.
Thought I was seeing pieces for a gothic, period drama for TV! Or a opera ! Valentino is not known for doing pieces for movies or TV, but pure fashion for what we as people want to see for today or the future! Who approve this!!!!!
They could have found a much better quality recording of the Agnus Dei at the beginning but besides that, this is so gorgeous and otherwordly and I love it so much also that standing ovation was so totally deserved

ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE SEEN SO FAR. IS HERITAGE INSPIRED FASHION A TREND? IS INSPIRATIONAL THEME FASHION LINE CONCEPT becoming ECONOMIC in design philosophy? The HIGH CONTRAST of IRONY between “what one had so much of ” in the past and “what one has lost” today perhaps in its treasury and status but not in its CULTURE and SPIRIT is a thought. Is this show a tribute to the long struggle of the ailing economy of Greece now? Once it was affluent now it is suffering-----truly a DESIGN INTERPRETATION which is SENSIBLE. The maquillage became beautifully subdued in contrast to the pared down garments balanced with low-keyed ancient Greek jewelry renewed to send a message of promise for Greece to rise again. The music "Agnus Dei" penetrates into our bones creating an emotional goose pumps. If one closes his eyes, the music has some sense of AGONY and those IMAGES OF BY GONE ERA lingers on. Designer BALENCIAGA once said, there is not FASHION if there is NO EMOTION. Valentino has always been my idol. The new Valentino in Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli have continued Valentino’s points of view in design. PERFECTION. Elegance. DETAILS. Inspirational. CLASSIC. Timeless. HANDCRAFTED.
