Also Yeonjun has dramatic essence as well, so he actually has 4 essences. ive always thought that txt's visuals are somehow always perfectly harmonised with eachother but also having a uniqueness of their own, all members have their own vibe to them but nobody outshines eachother its just all so perfectly balanced now it all makes alot more sense . this is an amazing video ^^

Love this! Although I have a different take with their essences, it's super interesting to see your take. Kpop is the perfect place to look at different essences. I would love to hear your take on The Boyz. Personally I don't think all of them have ethereal essence, more so that it's their concept so they have been styled as such, and because they are all beautiful, and wearing the right make up, lit up a certain way, they can pull it off somehow. I think only Kai and Taehyun have ethereal, maybe Soobin. However after watching your video I am not sure anymore lol! I am not sure about classic for Kai because suits and classic style don't look that comfortable on him, I don't think he looks "formal" enough for classic, but I could be wrong. However I think he must have some dramatic essence, because he looks amazing with more dark rock and roll styles, high contrasts, and his features have that edge. And I disagree with Taehyun being romantic, I actually think Taehyun could have a little dramatic/natural essence in him, I don't think Taehyun can pull off the wavy/curly hair, flowy shirts of romantic style as well as leather jacket, slightly spiky or wet hair (which is more dramatic). Beomgyu I think may have some classic and or slight natural essence in him but I'm not too sure about this, and it's mostly based on his features rather than the style he pulls off best, and Yeonjun as you said in your comment has dramatic too, definitely. The rest I agree with you, especially on their dominant essence.
I always thought that Yeonjun is an special case because of his fox and cheeky features, like, you can't ignore him. He has a tempting aura. Soobin is kinda special too because of his mature aura, but he can play cute sometimes and I love the duality of them both. I think that youthfulness you see, is still coming from the youthful side of his gamine in my opinion. There’s not enough there to place it with ingenue, but I definitely see what you mean! (Thank you for commenting this, I sincerely love discussions lol 🤗)
Actually I do see a bit of ingenue within his cheeks, they’re fuller and that gives him a softer look. I do still think it’s not as prominent as his other essences. And he still gives off a cheeky vibe, especially within his resting face

And even that doesn't have anything to do with gender, it's based on the concept of yin (feminine) = round, yang (masculine) = square. I find his features with more youthful roundness than most males, hence more feminine
I think beomgyu has higher ingenue essence than gamine, he looks much more harmonious with rounded shapes i.e: hair, soft pastely colors, and sweet delicate styles. Soobin might as well has ingenue too rather than gamine because he gives off more sweet and innocent look than cheeky and spirited look. He has long face suitable for classic/ethereal but has full cheeks and small heart shaped lips. For others I agree❤
Woah this is such a cool and interesting video! I think it would be really cool to see how this plays into bigger groups like SEVENTEEN and The Boyz, and groups that *I consider* to have more varying visuals, like P1Harmony and NMIXX.

He has such sharp eyes and pointy nose that gives him a model-esque look and strong aura, combined with his lush and rounded lips (romantic essence) makes him looks seductive & sharp at the same time
I remember stumbling onto the style essences and getting intrigued by it. I thought "Uh, it would be interesting to see how this could be applied on kpop styling commentary (like oneusforall's videos about how hair affects stage presence, in a way)" I never got deeper, but I'm glad to see someone making a video (and series!) on this applied to kpop. I'll be tuning in these videos for sure!
I do agree with you on the facial essence archetypes for TXT! And they can really shine in fashion magazine photos, when the styling matches their vibes. This might be why certain styling (the bolder one, or the delicate details) fit different members best, and I can't get enough of those where the stylists accentuate the members' strongest features with clothes and make-up. Plus, TXT concepts and covers leaning towards the ethereal and faerie-like ones, boyish and cocky ones, and melancholic and longing ones, plus sensual and delicate yet not too in-your-face ones are the ones members fit the most. It was very interesting to watch, and your choice of videos was on point, thank you!
That is not quite scientific. Science would involve the golden ratio and how it measures up to conventional standards, like the location of things on their faces (like eyes, eyebrows, foreheads, jawline and cheekbones, etc.).

I don't understand your description of the "essences" and what makes them different, although I think the guys all look distinct. I think I can understand an ethereal essence because it's mostly a fairytale look. I also see that every single member of TXT has qualities that make each exceptionally good looking, yet each is different from the other. So, you have different looks that can accommodate everyone's taste. I also think in general some have more of a feminine vibe and some more masculine vibe. Of course all of them have excellent skin which is part of what makes them look ethereal. Also, they all seem to have delicate features like a doll. In terms of M versus F, including their personalities, I think Taehyun has the most masculine vibe because he loves working out, then Beomgyu, because he's so competitive, then Yeonjun, although he can be anything, and Heuning Kai, because he has unique traits, is soft-hearted, empathic, and sweet. And finally Soobin (this is before seeing his visual in Killa) because he is so gentle and soft and shy and has the face of an angel, with dimples.
Girl groups all look like babies. Which is creepy like those mothers and their 3 year old's in women's make up and high heels and ball gowns! I think it encourages pedophiles, which is gross here, but maybe in some countries in Asia it is acceptable?
