On a previous video, I recommended either selling your existing thumb and buying a new one, or doing exactly what Doug accomplished. I was shocked when watching this video where Doug implemented one of my ideas. Likely he came up with the same idea before me? What an excellent job he did! He saved you between $800-$1300 per internet prices on a new excavator thumb! Ofcourse you can add shipping charges and taxes to the above! I like your channel for numerous reasons. You collaborate with interesting and creative experts such as Doug. Both of you are smart enough to know that repetitive videos that only buck, split, pile, & deliver firewood are extremely boring. I have never had to tell you this, because you already cover so many various video scenarios. I hope that Doug doesnt lose the love of doing creative stuff and then having to video record and edit everything, which is not that much fun! You guys make an unbelievable tag team. Dont change a thing! Share the proceeds with Doug, and dont let him start his own channel! You guys hit the nail on the head! Wonderful work!
Wonderful modification on this thumb! Yes you are correct Doug is a blessing and a half. Not many people have a neighbor like that. He is literally a walking machine shop. I really like the orange raptor and the,I think it’s a Honda Ridgeline in the background at Doug’s place. Great choices! Keep up the great work. My wife and I do just about everything together, including watching you and your co-star Doug. Since we garden, cook, cut and split firewood...and quilt together...we watch videos about these things. We seam-lessly (pun intended) go from watching the latest Hometown Acres right into the quilting videos. No surprise that our big purchases last year was a quilting machine and a log splitter.

I find Doug to be a critical thinker that methodically took the excavator thumb attachment and modified it to work with the bucket. Doug deserves many wonderful words of praise. Wow...Doug is a national treasure!! His metal/welding work is IMPRESSIVE!! I had a great local welder like Doug but sadly he passed 5 years ago well before he should have. I still look fondly at the work he did for me over the years and told his wife at his funeral that he was more than a welder/machinist...he was an metal artist. I haven't yet found anyone who can put out the quality of work that Tim could. Doug wanna move to Florida?? 🤣😂🤣

A lot of people have neighbors with talents great just like Doug, a lot have neighbors as friendly and willing to help as Doug. For most those are 2 different neighbors which leaves you with a great neighbor willing to help but not equipped to help and a neighbor with the talent and equipment but not willing to help. Adam you have the rare one that’s the whole package!
I've got a neighbor just like Doug and another neighbor that is actually a certified welder that does alot of work for a milling company to maintain compliance with OSHA regulations. Nice to have neighbors like that as we do alot of bartering to help each other. My tractor w/backhoe helps everybody in the neighborhood.
Now, when my hubby and I are having trouble working in the yard or with his wood hobby in the garage - even removing the safety seal on the coffee creamer 😏 - we yell, Doug 🤣🤣🤣 Another great video, Adam 👍✨️ God bless you and your family and Doug and his 💞
