    Your video was a great help. Helped me save over $200 if done at a jiffyLube. $99 for front diffy, $99 for Rear diffy and $180 for transfer case. Total for all supplies for all 3 was $175Cnd.
    Thank You and keep up the great work.
    PS: Noticed a huge difference in my entire drive train feel after drain. no soft clunking of gears.
    i used 1/4 of qt of royal purple 75w140 and rest with 75w90. awesome mix.

    I changed the transfer case and front differential on my 2008 Tundra limited 5.7L Double Cab today. There was a second black shield I had to remove that was held on with two bolts to be able to remove the fill plug bolt. I could not get the 24mm socket fully seated on the bolt head. I was using a 1/2" breaker bar and socket which is what interfered with the shield plate. Don't think a 3/8" 24mm socket would be any thinner and thus would still be an interference fit. Really appreciate the you tube video IKARUS404 posted, very helpful.

    Great video. Thanks for the good info. I think you need more practice breaking loose some of those drain plugs though. Also, try putting down some cardboard or newspapers on the floor, for over spill. You have a nice garage. Cheers.

    FYI 75w90 is three times thicker than the recommended Toyota 75w LF

      Manual states 75W-90

      My manual reads 75w and Toyota only makes it, $40 Qt.. it’s a lighter oil with extra friction properties. Should last 50,000 miles or more.

    Can you do a video on how to do the transmission fluid change on the Tundra?

    • @IKARUS404
      @IKARUS404  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      When the time comes, yes. Truck currently has 45,xxx and has towed some and Toyota says to change at 60K, but if fluid look good I'll wait til 100-120k.

      Depends on the model Tundra. The old Tundra has a transmission dipstick that can can be used to fill transmission newer models have a plug you need to remove to fill.

    great video. why using 75W-90, doesn't the manual says 80W-90?
    Thanks

    • @IKARUS404
      @IKARUS404  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Was using 75w-90 as that's what Royal Purple had and was the closest to the recommended weight.

    • @zofa300
      @zofa300 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      don't you think 75W may causes damage if the manual says 80W? I have no idea that is why I am asking.
      Thanks

      No, not at all. The difference of 5w will have no effect on reliability.

    Good videos. Does one need an additive if using 75w90 royal purple in 2008 sequoia 5.7l?

      @IKARUS404  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      No additives are needed.
