Thank you for delivering another powerful and inspiring message. Teaching us more of God’s word, biblical wisdom, more of His forgiveness, and unfailing love. It’s taking time, but I am teaching myself to have a relationship with Jesus and his Father in heaven. I am learning to read the Bible and enjoy watching these sermons every week. God bless you and your family.

Shame came from when the serpent tricked Eve into eating the fruit of knowledge and then tricked her husband Adam into eating from the fruit. When they ate from the fruit, they knew what shame was for they had disobeyed God.

I would like to submit that the fruit itself held no power but it was the action and the knowledge that they had actually done something against God's will that gave them understanding of good and evil. I doubt that the serpent just stood on in quiet appreciation of the humans he had just "helped". No it did what Satan always does when we disobey even for "good" reasons or lack of control: "Look at you..." It likely said. "How stupid can you be to listen to something like me when you KNOW what GOD says??? You deserve to die... Naked and alone...". But God says otherwise and never left us in our shame and disobedience. He will leave the 99 every time to seek the one... We just need to turn back to Him in complete submission and trust that His grace is making us perfect in Christ... And that hell is defeated.

... And consider just what the serpent says in my "reenactment" of his gloating:..."How stupid can you be to listen to something like me when you know what God says???". Replace the shaming word "stupid" with "foolish" or "deceived" and know that you would be pretty silly/foolish/deceived to listen to what it says ANY further instead of GOD says about YOU. YOU ARE BOUGHT WITH A PRICE! REDEEMED! LOVED! CHERISHED AND MADE PERFECT BY GRACE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST!... Anything else... Is a lie.
