This video is so refreshing! It's rare to see a successful TH-camr like Cal being so transparent about his earnings. It's inspiring for aspiring creators and gives us a realistic idea of what goes into making videos. Keep up the great work, Cal!
@@jake-iv4hy yeah my tone was a bit aggressive, did not mean it like that. More in a way of, someone else has done it better, if you like this you’ll love that :)
People saying "it's not that much" gotta remember Cal is still making money from older videos too, they don't just stop earning after being up for a certain amount of time. Looking at social blade as a baseline, Cal got around 100million views on his vids in 2023. Using the average math that he revealed in this vid of around $4750 per million views he easily earned over 400k even after loss. And that's not even taking into account the money from sponsorships. This man is loaded
Too right, dudes bringing in 7 figures comftably a year, I hope he invests it well and grows the Fella's studios. I only realised recently that the Fella's studios are a full-on production company with multiple podcast filming in their building and using their team. Chip needs to stop with the "I'm in my overdraft" bollocks we all know he's loaded 😂
This is amazing Cal !! Usually a lot smaller TH-camrs do this and show a lot of the profit-loss details but rarely someone that has the views, subscribers, exposure as you !! This was very very motivational and I appreciate the honesty. Love it !!
Respect you so much for actually putting it out there. Idk why nobody talks about this really, but I loved this video. Makes me want to go back and rewatch the Japan vids to give them some love!
Great video for insight. Never seen a TH-camr do this before and it wouldn't surprise me others trend on this. Your videos are class so keep it up big man 👊
Lot more common in US to talk about the money side (just from a personal observation), but WillNE just did a similar video to this so maybe that's changing abit
I always knew freezy from the sidemen but this vid made me sub cause he was so open about the money he makes on his videos giving us a chance to gauge what can be made in a career like this
Definitely an underrated creator! Love how your content has evolved too. Hopefully when i get a bit bigger I can do these more lifestyle/challenge videos. Hope we can see an even better year for you!
calfreezys really changed in the past recent years he started of legendary then thought of fell off but past year and a half really been enjoying his content again need more of these types of vids
Love this vid and your honesty. Seems surprisingly low but I'm sure with sponsorship money and everything else you're doing a lot more, but it's super interesting to see these figures.
But you need to remember he still gets revenue for the videos he made 5/10 years ago aswell. He also streams, gets sponsors, donations, has multiple channels, feature other videos, merch and has a podcast.
FYI for all of you non creators looking at the payment from TH-cam. As a creator myself about 5% of my income comes for the partner program. I don’t exactly know for his niche, but I can imagine each sponsor is dropping 4-5 figures for those videos. So you can 5x those revenue numbers from TH-cam on the low end. Don’t be fooled by YT partner program figures haha. Man’s making bread 🥖
43k profit for yourself doesn't really seem like alot tbh after all you had to give out for expenses and salaries. I'm wondering how much sponsorhips pay, how much of these expenses can you write off as a business expense and how much would other channels pay you for being a guest in their video? For example, how much would the Sidemen pay you for appearing in a video?
I love your videos , most of all I love that you are being open about your earnings . It will inspire others and give them a realistic adea of what to expect , yes there are variables like the editors cost , tax , renting your work place etc also you have been at this a while and you do get sponsers . But it give people a true idea of earnings. Good on you well done for your honesty . and i promise to let the adds roll lol .
on one of your the fellas podcast you had simon wilson on. he is massive liverpool fc fan like yourself. maybe an opportunity to collaborate? with maybe a europa league final in dublin? idea being craziest way to get to the final.
Love the vid Cal, nice on the transparency.. Could you just indicate roughly how much that sponsor money is, would be nice to know how much those few seconds we skip actually helps you guys out because you can see the relief on your face when you say that video had a sponsor Also, roughly what it costs you annually to have an editing team, all businesses have overheads, just would be cool to know ❤
Great video, I think what is overlooked is how many jobs he creates when making a video. I’d it wasn’t for TH-camrs like Cal the economy would be ever worse
It ranges wildly. I have a channel that makes ~£2 per 1000 views but other creators can earn as much as £20+ depending on what niche they're in and how good of a cpm and rpm they have
This certainly came at a surprise for sure. 43k profit is not great tbh. Sponsorships must pay well. I think the next route for TH-camrs is products that they believe in for example what mr beast is doing.
But you need to remember he still gets revenue for the videos he made 5/10 years ago aswell. He also streams, gets sponsors, donations, has multiple channels, feature other videos, merch and has a podcast.
Its definitely less in a year than i thought but obviously youtube is 1 of those things that you build up over time so the income is alot higher as hes still earning on videos he would've posted 10 years ago but this is a great insight and most youtubers wouldn't give out these figures so its nice to see a bit of transparency there
Nah he's earning more than enough to pay the editors etc. This £43,000 is only from vids made this year, not including earnings from all his other vids that still make money
So quick question, does that essentially mean that final figure is like a yearly salary after tax or do you still need to pay tax on that? Might be a stupid question but hey.. 😂
I'd love to see MrBeast do a vid like this considering how big some of his videos are and how many views he gets and I think pretty much every video is sponsored as well across multiple channels (I haven't actually watched his videos from the last couple months so I don't know if every single one is sponsored or not)
You can calculate youtubers earnings based on what they are paid per 1000 views. Mr beast probably on the high end cuz of the advertise friendly vid he makes so it would be 7-10$ per 1000. If he makes 10$ per 1000 and he averages 100m per vid that means he gets a million from ad money alone on average
This video is so refreshing! It's rare to see a successful TH-camr like Cal being so transparent about his earnings. It's inspiring for aspiring creators and gives us a realistic idea of what goes into making videos. Keep up the great work, Cal!
