Colby is washed up. It wasn’t just the wrestling imo but every single aspect of his skill set and physicality looked like a shell of his former self. I still don’t think Buckley is that good but we’ll see. If that version of Colby fought Usman, Woodley or Masvidal with one eye there’s no way that fight even makes it to the third round. I honestly think the Masvidal incident broke Colby mentally. Getting kicked out of ATT was also terrible for his career imo.
@@andrewsmith5512 the Masvidal incident was definitely a much bigger factor in all of this than people care to admit. He apparently also got kicked out of MMA Masters but that’s just a rumor at this point.
@ Yeah people have no idea how badly a sucker punch can mess you up. Especially from a professional fighter. It’s only by the grace of God that Colby didn’t go out because Masvidal and his boys may very well would of stomped him out afterwards and actually killed him if they got the chance. It always frustrated me when people just expected him to jump right back into fighting after it happened with no time off. A year off sounds about right after something like that. His whole demeanor kind of changed after that event. You can kind of tell his spirit as a fighter has been broken and he’s trying to convince himself that it hasn’t. It’s like when Austin Powers lost his mojo.
