My favourite Wii U game has to be Splatoon, The most original and unique shooter game, From nintendo too! The online is so fun and so is the story, also getting as many clothing as possible. The game is amazing. The concept makes it so much more fun. It is the perfection of a game and I could say it is in my top 3 Nintendo games of all time . A very underrated game in my opinion
I remember reading somewhere that SNES would be way more difficult to remix like this than NES. I don't think the series is making a comeback anytime soon, but I would get a Switch port in an instant.
I'm noticing a trend: most of the games here were superseded by future installments or were critically panned (or both!). For the ones that were here that weren't either of those two, they (or at least their content) were ported onto the 3DS, or they were Nintendo Land. (which would be hard to do outside the Wii U since it focused completely on the asynchronous-screen multiplayer, which would only work with purchase of multiple systems)
Wii U truly was a magical time in a lot of ways. I know that a lot of these titles have been "watered" down because they have come to the Switch but my gosh, when these games came to the Wii U, they truly hit different and made you proud to own a Wii U. I am always impressed that BoTW runs good on the Wii U and I have still have the DLC only for the Wii U version of the game.
NES remix has to be my favorite. The hours my eldest son and I played that reminiscing about playing the original titles when he was a kid. So much fun. A SNES remix on the Switch would be fantastic!

Imo the best gems on Wii U are... Zelda twilight princess hd, Zelda wind waker hd, Zelda breath of the wild (even though it was a dual release on switch still worth owning the Wii U version), paper Mario color splash, and Xenoblade Chronicles X.
This video does not feature Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water, probably because it did not receive a physical release in America. Here in Europe, it did, altough only a limited one.
Great video! I did find a local deal that really helped me add to my Wii U collection. I had to drive a good bit but couldn’t pass up the deal. It was donkey Kong tropical freeze/ Mario tennis ultra smash, Kirby and the rainbow curse and Pac-Man the ghostly adventures all for 20$!
My favorite Wii U game was New Super Luigi U. It was basically NSMBU but with an extra depth of challenge, especially since you had to beat the levels under 100 seconds and Luigi had his physics from past Mario games. It was also $30 cheaper than it's counterpart when it first came out.
My favorite Wii U game is Zombi U, when I got the Wii U for christmas in 2013 I got Zombi U with it and it was a fun horror survival game that was intense and defently got me stressed out and scared at some points.
I really enjoyed it on the Wii U. Didn't play it much but was pretty good. I remember buying the HD version on Xbox One but something was missing... i think the use of the tablet of the original Wii U version really added something to the game, it just wasn't the same with later HD versions.
Super Smash Bros for wii u is definitely my favorite wii u game mainly because of the nostalgia from 2015-2018 of me playing it and putting thousands of hours into it by playing it over time
My favorite Wii U games would have to be Yoshi’s Woolly World and Paper Mario: Color Splash. Despite how they were received, the charming humor and puzzle-adventure mechanics in Color Splash and the surprisingly well-done OST in Woolly World still win me over. If they fixed the battle system in Color Splash, I think it could have a decent second life on Switch, despite the presence of Origami King.
Yoshis Woolly World by far.......its a top 10 all time platformer for me. Easy game in it self, yes......but collecting everything 100%, not so easy. Loved it!!!
My favorites are Twilight Princess, Yoshis Wooly World, and Nintendo Land. Wooly World also had a big box bundle that came with one of the 3 Yarn Yoshi amiibos
The main think about Super Mario Maker on the Wii U is that it has all the Amiibo costumes plus some bonus freebie DLC ones through events, which SMM2 doesn't have.

I would love to see Switch ports of Xenoblade Chronicles X, Fatal Frame Maiden of Black Water, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Twilight Princess HD, and Windwaker HD.

I really like these videos. Value isn't the most important to me but it's nice for the collection, if it's something I would really like to play and to get a feeling for the value. But it's pretty astonishing that all these games are about 10-20€ here in Germany. I think that now is the best Time to pick these up. I'm pretty sure the will get pretty pricey in a few years
Out of games shown in the video I have 9, and 19 Wii U games in total. I got my console in 2018 to play Breath of the Wild and I'm not gonna let it go.
I got a Wii U for Christmas, so this video is a great reminder that it’s still a worthwhile console! I have Super Mario 3D World, Splatoon, TPHD, and WWHD. And Nintendoland. I think Nintendoland would we be super cool if ported to the switch!

I’m going to be very nit-picky here, but in most every case where you use the word “variation,” you should be using “variant.” In simple terms, “variation” is change, and “variant” is one of the forms resulting from the change. So Smash for Wii U is a variant of Smash for 3DS, and vice-versa. But the variations that make them different are things like the different stages available in each game, or the fact that one is on 3DS and one is on Wii U. But in any case, great video and thanks for sharing! I’m happy to learn that my big-box Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Smash games have gone up so much in value! Glad I was able to get my hands on those at regular retail price when they first came out!!
Good thing that I started collecting Wii u games around an year and half ago. I have just about every wii u exclusive that haven't been ported and over 67 games in my shelf. Pretty much over half of the library.
The only reason I'm not getting rid of my Wii U games is because I have an emotional attachment to them. Yes, they are the exact same on the Switch for the most part, but I experienced them first on the Wii U. I can't just throw that away.
The only reason I think that Twilight Princess HD is so expensive is because of the fact that, in order to level up the Wolf Link Amiibo from having 3 hearts of health to 20 hearts, so the Wolf Link Amiibo has more health in Breath of the Wild, you need to do the Amiibo Dungeon that was added in Twilight Princess HD to level it up. Also, probably demand.
I picked up Game And Wario last week for £25 from my local 2nd hand shop. When I saw it I was so excited 😂😂😂😂, the guy behind the counter thought i was crazy for buying Wii U games. Easy worth at least triple what I paid in the UK of not quadruple.
I’m thinking the Zelda 3d All Stars might have Ocarina of Time, Windwaker, and Twilight Princess. Just like they skipped out on Galaxy 2 in the Mario variant, I think they’ll toss Majora’s Mask since they’ll want one game from each console (not to mention remaking Majora’s Mask/OOT vs porting the Wii U versions of WW/TP takes a lot more effort and Nintendo can be lazy lol)
Little note--Splatoon got an 81 on Metacritic because at the time it launched and, by extension, was reviewed by outlets whose scores factored into Metacritic, it was missing a lot of content that came out over the subsequent year. It was basically a $40 game with $20 DLC, but all of it was sold at once. Had it been reviewed in 2016, I'd suspect reviews would push it closer to the 85-90 range.
Sing Party is another Nintendo-published Wii U exclusive that you can get for dirt cheap. The big box variant that comes with the microphone may cost more. A notable third party game exclusive to Wii U is Tank! Tank! Tank! It's a multiplayer arcade cabinet game that got a console release only on Wii U.
I’ve liked and subscribed. I don’t own a Wii U, but my favorite port is Super Mario 3D world+ bowser’s fury. I would like either Game and Wario, Kirby and the rainbow curse or Nintendo Land to be ported.
Went to a local thrift store. They had a Wii U game pad , the sensor and the power cable for the console only. They were missing the console the tv cables the power cable for the pad and they wanted 140$. I told them you missing 50%. They told me the pad works by itself. I said if you show me where do I insert the games I will buy it. Are the prices In Canada’s thrift stores getting out of line?
That is hilarious. Couldn't even run games. All of the thrift stores in my area seemed to be asking a lot for really common games. You have to get very lucky.
My favorite Wii U game is Super Mario 3D World hands down the best. A game that I also hope that will be ported is Xenoblade Chronicles X. I would let this edition of that game and I would like to see that poured it over to the switch as well.

I have all of these and still play it sometimes when I miss the days of Wii U it may not have been the best system but it was very fun and oddly nostalgic and it’s only 9 years old sometimes I feel more nostalgic with the Wii U than when I play games like the GameCube or sega Genesis or Dreamcast even my ps1 and ps2 I just love the Wii U and it sucks that it wasn’t that much of a success but I have a open copy of game and wario and honestly it wasn’t that fun for me when I got it but maybe I’ll play it again soon and see if my opinion changes and my Wii U originally was black and didn’t come with a game when I got it in 2012 so I waited and then in 2014 or 2015 the smash and splatoon dual pack Wii U came out and I instantly bought it and I’ve also heard that is one of the rarest Wii U’s out there and it came with splatoon and smash 4 or for the normal non competitive smash players “super smash brother for Nintendo Wii U” it’s basically the 3DS versions of smash 4 but better graphics and slightly different modes and the smash 4 and splatoon Wii U bundle is my main Wii U so my basic black no game included Wii U has just been collecting dust but I’m thinking of selling it because I haven’t used it since 2014 or 2015 so if the stock Wii U gets rare I still have the box so I guess I’ll get even more money if I sell it
Besides the Wii U games, I'm interested in seeing the possibility of 3DS games being ported or remastered for the Switch. Some like the 3DS Luigi's Mansion remake, Kid Icarus, 3D Majora's Mask, and 3D Ocarina Of Time.
What about Devil’s Third? That was published by Nintendo (even if they want you to forget) you also brought up Mario & Sonic at the Brazil Olympics but didn’t show it. If you make a non-Nintendo published list don’t forget about Batman Arkham City: Armored Edition, that version is technically an exclusive.
Smash 4 is my favorite Wii U game. Smash is my favorite series and while I do still prefer Melee and Ultimate over 4, the hype and wait for it was unbelievable.

Out of what ive played, id have to say mario 3d world is my favorite wii u game. I have probably 2/3 of the set now though.
I’m going to be very nit-picky here, but in most every case where you use the word “variation,” you should be using “variant.” In simple terms, “variation” is change, and “variant” is one of the forms resulting from the change.
So Smash for Wii U is a variant of Smash for 3DS, and vice-versa. But the variations that make them different are things like the different stages available in each game, or the fact that one is on 3DS and one is on Wii U.
But in any case, great video and thanks for sharing! I’m happy to learn that my big-box Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Smash games have gone up so much in value! Glad I was able to get my hands on those at regular retail price when they first came out!!
Star fox Guard I can find for around $10CAD. My favourite Star Fox games were definitely the older ones. They were much better in my opinion.
Good thing that I started collecting Wii u games around an year and half ago. I have just about every wii u exclusive that haven't been ported and over 67 games in my shelf. Pretty much over half of the library.
The only reason I'm not getting rid of my Wii U games is because I have an emotional attachment to them. Yes, they are the exact same on the Switch for the most part, but I experienced them first on the Wii U. I can't just throw that away.

The only reason I think that Twilight Princess HD is so expensive is because of the fact that, in order to level up the Wolf Link Amiibo from having 3 hearts of health to 20 hearts, so the Wolf Link Amiibo has more health in Breath of the Wild, you need to do the Amiibo Dungeon that was added in Twilight Princess HD to level it up. Also, probably demand.
Xenoblade X is BRILLIANT, and it really needs a re-release. Definitely one of my faves. :)
I picked up Game And Wario last week for £25 from my local 2nd hand shop. When I saw it I was so excited 😂😂😂😂, the guy behind the counter thought i was crazy for buying Wii U games. Easy worth at least triple what I paid in the UK of not quadruple.
I’m thinking the Zelda 3d All Stars might have Ocarina of Time, Windwaker, and Twilight Princess.
Just like they skipped out on Galaxy 2 in the Mario variant, I think they’ll toss Majora’s Mask since they’ll want one game from each console (not to mention remaking Majora’s Mask/OOT vs porting the Wii U versions of WW/TP takes a lot more effort and Nintendo can be lazy lol)
Little note--Splatoon got an 81 on Metacritic because at the time it launched and, by extension, was reviewed by outlets whose scores factored into Metacritic, it was missing a lot of content that came out over the subsequent year. It was basically a $40 game with $20 DLC, but all of it was sold at once. Had it been reviewed in 2016, I'd suspect reviews would push it closer to the 85-90 range.
My favorite Wii U game is probably Zelda twilight princess and LEGO city undercover because that game is my childhood

I feel like ports of these games might be released to keep the Switch alive for another year after the Switch 2 comes out.
Sing Party is another Nintendo-published Wii U exclusive that you can get for dirt cheap. The big box variant that comes with the microphone may cost more.
A notable third party game exclusive to Wii U is Tank! Tank! Tank! It's a multiplayer arcade cabinet game that got a console release only on Wii U.
I loved Super Mario Maker for Wii U. I would love to see Xenoblade Chronicles X ported to Switch.

My personal favorite Wii U games are Xenoblade Chronicles X and Star Fox Zero!

I’ve liked and subscribed. I don’t own a Wii U, but my favorite port is Super Mario 3D world+ bowser’s fury. I would like either Game and Wario, Kirby and the rainbow curse or Nintendo Land to be ported.
Went to a local thrift store. They had a Wii U game pad , the sensor and the power cable for the console only. They were missing the console the tv cables the power cable for the pad and they wanted 140$. I told them you missing 50%. They told me the pad works by itself. I said if you show me where do I insert the games I will buy it. Are the prices In Canada’s thrift stores getting out of line?
That is hilarious. Couldn't even run games. All of the thrift stores in my area seemed to be asking a lot for really common games. You have to get very lucky.
I honestly hope that either Nintendo Land or Sonic Lost Worlds gets a Nintendo Switch port.
It would be possible because most of the games use the gamepad in unique ways
My favorite Wii U game is Super Mario 3D World hands down the best. A game that I also hope that will be ported is Xenoblade Chronicles X. I would let this edition of that game and I would like to see that poured it over to the switch as well.

My favourite Wii U game was probably 3D world before it was on the switch. Right now though it’s probably Game and Wario for it’s usage of the gamepad

My favorite wii u game is definitely wii party u. It may sound weird but i have so many great memories playing it with friends

I have all of these and still play it sometimes when I miss the days of Wii U it may not have been the best system but it was very fun and oddly nostalgic and it’s only 9 years old sometimes I feel more nostalgic with the Wii U than when I play games like the GameCube or sega Genesis or Dreamcast even my ps1 and ps2 I just love the Wii U and it sucks that it wasn’t that much of a success but I have a open copy of game and wario and honestly it wasn’t that fun for me when I got it but maybe I’ll play it again soon and see if my opinion changes and my Wii U originally was black and didn’t come with a game when I got it in 2012 so I waited and then in 2014 or 2015 the smash and splatoon dual pack Wii U came out and I instantly bought it and I’ve also heard that is one of the rarest Wii U’s out there and it came with splatoon and smash 4 or for the normal non competitive smash players “super smash brother for Nintendo Wii U” it’s basically the 3DS versions of smash 4 but better graphics and slightly different modes and the smash 4 and splatoon Wii U bundle is my main Wii U so my basic black no game included Wii U has just been collecting dust but I’m thinking of selling it because I haven’t used it since 2014 or 2015 so if the stock Wii U gets rare I still have the box so I guess I’ll get even more money if I sell it

Besides the Wii U games, I'm interested in seeing the possibility of 3DS games being ported or remastered for the Switch. Some like the 3DS Luigi's Mansion remake, Kid Icarus, 3D Majora's Mask, and 3D Ocarina Of Time.
I want a port of Xenoblade X and Windwaker most! I also want a port of Twilight Princess, but a bit less than the previous two
What about Devil’s Third? That was published by Nintendo (even if they want you to forget) you also brought up Mario & Sonic at the Brazil Olympics but didn’t show it.
If you make a non-Nintendo published list don’t forget about Batman Arkham City: Armored Edition, that version is technically an exclusive.
The NES Remix games are great fun. I'd love a Switch port with a few games such as StarTropics, Duck Hunt and The Mysterious Murasame Castle added.

Smash 4 is my favorite Wii U game. Smash is my favorite series and while I do still prefer Melee and Ultimate over 4, the hype and wait for it was unbelievable.
I had a lot of great memories with Nintendo Land. Seems highly unlikely that it’ll get a port though.

@@lawfullucyless6715 I think it’s really only something that can be properly enjoyed on a Wii U. Porting it over would probably ruin it since it relied so heavily on the gamepad.
