8 years later and we're still watching! Beautiful job and hey we're having a big XTC Convention in Swindon this September if you're free. Real chill and tons of cool people.
@@captaindownbeat yes it's September 16-18 in Swindon at the STEAM railworks museum (same place Andy showed in the 'tour around Swindon' video). The schedule isn't set yet but if it's like 2017 there'll be: -Fossil Fools playing live, maybe others -Swindon walkabout of famous XTC locales -Trip to Uffington Chalk Horse I went in 2017, met the coolest people and made great friends. Colin and Terry did a meet and greet, David Lord (producer of TBE) was there but I was still a young fan and didn't yet appreciate who he was. My big thing at the time was I wanted to see that cool little amphitheater where Andy & Dave play Train Running Low on acoustics. Since it was on the tour, I did indeed go there. My wife and I have been to Swindon a few times now and we always stroll the Town Gardens where it's located. Due to Covid the convention's been rescheduled twice, however we've had two online conventions in its place to keep us all going. If you look at my "XTC Everything" playlist you'll see them both (I think it's an unlisted video). Scroll through and you'll see all kinds of good things (or watch all 4 hours like I did lol). The convention group is on the dastardly Facebook as "XTC Convention 2022". There's only room for like 400 people or so at STEAM so tickets are limited. If you're interested you should join that group quickly because they're going on sale very soon (maybe even tomorrow I don't know) and they will sell out imo. FYI our 2017 convention was only 100 people. XTC popularity seemingly exploded with This Is Pop documentary. Hope to see you there dude but if not it's still great chatting with an XTC fan!
@Stingray ... I'm using Ableton live, and automated the loop recording triggers and mutings and such. It makes it easier to concentrate on the actual music!
Thanks so much! I'm doing more (non-XTC live looping stuff with my duo FreePlay) as a weekly livestream. Check out th-cam.com/users/freeplayduo Fridays at 4pm EST!
Stunning. What a perfect way to begin my day, with a "packet of seeds," a droplet, and a huge smile on my face. Thanks, Dylan. A true work of art and I can't wait for Partsy to see it.
Props, man. I am an old XTC fan. Andy's song's are wonderful. I used to do a lot of acapella music myself with an 80s, cassette 4 track. It's clear you love doing this. Don't stop. You might wish you hadn't. Good job..
Thank you! (and sorry for taking so long to get back to you) I travel the world doing the live-looping thing, mostly with my wife as FreePlay: th-cam.com/users/freeplayduo .
By the stars what a fantastic take on my favorite song of all time
Thank you! Amazing song, ain't it?
MY HOLY MOTHER OF GOD, JESUS AND ALL HIS DISCIPLES........THAT WAS THE MOST AMAZING RENDITION OF WHAT IS NOT AN EASY PARTRIDGE SONG!!!!
No God Needed! He did it himself... without Hocus Pocus, Voodoo, or Someone Guilty us.That's a, well, Miracle! haha
