She's a rocket fast YOUNG 3 year old filly. I like to see potential hall of famers prove them selves with the big girls at 4. Not breakdown as babies. She'll have to run against these boys like she's never run before. She may do it but it may do her...and that would be a freakin sin. Just my opinion.
She's an absolute peach and, as I'm a dilettante, it's been my rare pleasure to watch each of her starts as they happened. She was a grownup on debut and hasn't regressed one jot...only just hung on off the winter layoff (and might've profited from a class/distance drop for a tuneup) but still won on a hot pace and is good for the Oaks.
That was not a hot pace...47 at the half mile and 1:11 at 6 furlongs.... all out to hold on against Hidden Connection who she dusted as a 2 year old. I think Hidden Connection turns the tables on her in next match up.

Cannot imagine her not Winning the Kentucky Oaks and Epicenter is Steve Amussin’s chance to win the Derby after 26 tries including the Oaks in the same year.
The point system has ruined the triple crown and turned it into something other than the original triple crown. It’s just a point system series now for horses that can only run 4 times a year.
Yes! Horses should be given time to mature. Seeing multiple youngsters break down in training will make you question the entire racing industry. Don't get me wrong, I love it too. But I want to see fully-grown horses, not babies.
My only concern is distance and that mass of horses in the KD. I don't think she can get in front and stay there in that mass of talented 3y/o's. Love her anyway! Thank you so much for these compilations! Subscribed!
@@peppywood01 I was at the track in New Orleans watching Echo Zulu, I looked up and there was Steve Asmussen out where the poor people gather, the look in his eye made me pull for his horses as Echo Zulu flew by ... I was there when Steve spoke of being 0-26 in the derby and said he felt real good about Epicenter after winning the Louisiana Derby. So YES! I am all in for Echo in the Oaks and Epicenter in the Derby.
Her most notable family members I saw were Mr. Prospector and a double dose of Native Dancer in her pedigree with one of them going through Northern Dancer. Her Dad might have a real stud career based on how his kids are running, unfortunately her Mom is already dead.

I wouldn’t say they’ve “caught up to her” based on one race off a long layoff. The KY Oaks has been the goal for her all along. Steve often doesn’t have them cranked up after layoffs, especially a filly of this caliber off a taxing, monstrous 2yo campaign. She did everything so easily. And being a Gun Runner, they’ve possibly only scratched the surface of this gal’s potential.
Epicenter for one ,need I say more ? You better take a second look instead of playing the favorite or chalk.... They just don't fair well I the Darby.....

She is great but she will be runner up to Secret Oath in my opinion.
