I'm an Ex-Mormon who lives in Utah. I would say most mormons don't try and alienate a spouse or prospective spouse from their families regardless of their religion or beliefs. If she (his girlfriend) did this it would be an indicator of her own psychopathy/narcissism. So if she really is a gold digger / coat tail rider, it's not because of the Mormon religion (and I'm no fan of LDS). That being said, the brother and mother sound like they have their own issues.

I think the fact that his brother and mom looked to publicly attack him on the biggest day of his life tells a more compelling story of why he is estranged from them. I get that his GF is older, but his family knew what they were doing, and I just hope Flip comes to love his new home and community here in Utah
They were not attacking him, at most they were attacking the gf who from what we know almost certainly groomed him. If you were their parents and all of a sudden your kid starts dating their baby sitter from a (possible)cult and they cut off contact from you, you would be concerned too.

Would love to see lineups featuring Sexton/Keyonte at PG, Williams at the 2, Lauri at the 3, Hendricks at the 4, and Flip at the 5. With Keyonte, that’s a lot of size and shooting at every position. With Sexton, it’s a lot of efficient scoring and driving

Jazz drafted a winger (Hendricks) as first lottery pick last season, another winger (Cody Williams) as first lottery pick this season and Filipowski as a second round steal. Hated how Jazz traded Fontecchio away, basically for nothing. He was at his late 20's (28 i think). Now Jazz have 3 young wingers, who they really should focus on developing, and in theory have complimentary skillsets to eachother. So please Jazz, just trade Lauri away ASAP, as he's still a tradable asset and is starting to be one of the oldest players in the team, not really fitting into same timeline with all these newcomers. We all should know Jazz's front office is full of BS by claiming they want to build around Lauri, but mostly drafting wingers since he got there. Btw. Drafting thls many wingers also kinda goes against tanking for possible draft of Flagg a non feasible future strategy regardless of wether they keep Lauri or cash in for another haul of picks. Getting Filipowski was a absolute steal, and a right move to make. It just makes the bigger picture even harder to put together from perspective of a random couch potato like myself.
