I love making those potholders for my family too! I add Insul-Bright Insulated Lining inside mine before I close them to add a little more hear protection :)
@@brucepapp8826 I lay them on the inside and then use a sewing thread that matches or will blend with the yarn color and attach in the corners (so they don't move around when washing) and simply tight knots that will be hidden before seeming closed the potholder. :)
When I am in a knit mood instead of crochet, I love Purl Soho double-thick pot holder pattern that gives the same effect. Also very quick knit and I have made over a dozen for gifts this season.
love those particular vanilla socks, love the homespun yarn color, legacy fibers gives me valentines day or christmas vibes, Love jelly of the month club
The project bag is so cute! I saw you chain and yes you are fast, I am just a slow crocheter and knitter. The pot holder is a great Idea. The kitty is a sweetie. Now I am interested to see the yarn you are getting from Canada. Ancient Arts Fiber has a web site and the most beautiful yarns. A group of us knit there on Thurs afternoons
Hi Kay. Love, love your new yarn holder you got in the mail. That material is gorgeous. I would use it all year round too. So good all your family love the cookies you bake even though it is cookie dough already made up. Gluten free food can be so yummy. I have never crocheted pot holders before. Great idea. I might do these for gifts next year. I love they don't take long to do as I am a fast crocheter as well much faster than knitting. so cute seeing your cat meow to answer you while he looks out the window. I hope you had a lovely evening with your family.
If the dogs aren’t watching you and waiting for dinner, your clock must be fast 😂 Enjoyed this potholder presentation. The only one I’ve seen like that is from Purl Soho that is knit. Good to have an option depending on how much my arthritis acts up on my right hand. Thank you 🙏
I love that apple sausage sliced and throw in with spinach, diced onion and then scramble eggs at the end. Its a protein dense breakfast but its a fan favorite in our house! its so good.
that is my favorite potholder pattern as well! i recently made enough to put away for my grand daughters, for when they move out and have their own place! love the yarn! ♥
I am going to try my hand at making crocheted pot holders! I’ve only ever made the weaving on the metal loom variety. I am going to look for those gluten free cookies in my local store! Merry Merry
Thank you Kay for sharing your progress on you Coziest Memories blanket and your advents. I am thinking about using the blanket pattern for my temperature blanket 2024 😊 Loving your Vlogmas!!
Those cookies sure couldn't get any easier. I wanted to share that Amber of A Lovely Yarn podcast let us know yesterday that she and her family really like the Jovial brand of pasta.
I make those potholder's, too. I was recently looking through my Pinterest board and email and folders on my computer for the pattern I made mine from cuz I hadn't made them in awhile and wanted to check it before starting some new ones for myself. I looked up the pattern you mentioned and it looks familiar. Not sure if it's the one I used before but it's the one I'm using now, lol! When I make mine, as I'm seaming it up, I work through the loops of the opposite side of the potholder every couple of inches to attach the two layers to each other so they can't slide or get pulled apart. It's a me thing, I just don't like to pick up a hot dish and have the layers slip across each other, makes me nervous that I'll drop it.
Thanks for the potholder idea. I have so much cotton yarn. I learned how to crochet this year so I will give this potholder a try I love seeing the progress on the grinch socks. They are so pretty!
Miss Sophie's furry ears perked up when Calvin was talking. Your reaction to the package from Three By The Seas Designs was so precious. Now that's real life!
Thank you for sharing your pot holders. I can do those! In the past, I used to buy some from craft fairs but they weren’t suitable for grabbing hot things. I read somewhere that the material for ironing board covers may be a nice lightweight, heat resistant filler. 🤷♀️
I always enjoy watching your Vlogmas every year and I love this year even more because your cat appears more ❤ Thank you for the cookie information. I am going to buy next time I go grocery shopping 😊
I've made those kind of potholders for friends. I had to make an extra for my neighbor because her husband kept stealing hers for the barbecue. My dogs were confused when your kitty meowed.
So enjoy your vlogmas' every year ❤ love Three By The Sea! I went and checked out her Vlogmas like you said, they are awesome!! It's amazing to see them I the warm/hot weather for Christmas! The cats and dogs are adorable, my miniature Schnauzer just turned 11.
Oh my gosh I looove the way Calvin is answering you😂😍 Just like my Boy😻The project bag from Three by the Sea is amazing. They are such wonderful and generous Ladies! I just received the most amazing Grinch bag as a gift from them and know exactly how you felt opening it. Pure joy🤩😍
Calvin and his meows when he was talking with you made me think of my late Cocoa. She would talk like that because she wanted to warn everyone she was in the room and not to step on her. I so feel your pain about being gluten free. I’m not gluten free; I’m soy free, and my mother is coconut and palm oil free. The taste is very different when you’re accustomed to soy-based products, and my husband will often taste-test things that others have cooked to make sure I can eat it. Like you, I always take my own food to gatherings when it’s not my family cooking. Your blanket is sooooo pretty! I’m still debating whether to make my own, especially since I misplaced three quarters of a quilt and have yet to find it.
Gosh I've never crocheted pot holders...and I do have some Sugar and Cream yarn...hmmm. I'm more of an oven mitt gal...I need all the help not burning myself that I can get. I should probably have mitts to my elbows some days. Hope your package from Canada arrives soon! I remember when my daughter was young and I was a stay at home Mom, some people would say "what do you DO all day?" Uh, follow me around and see if you can keep up. There was such a stigma at one time that women that don't work outside the home don't do anything. I beg to differ....strongly! My husband always said he'd go broke hiring someone to do all the things I do. That bag is so adorable. I finished 1 pair of socks and have them blocking now, and SHOULD be working on my 2 grandsons' pairs. I have 2 MKALs I'm doing and both clues came out today so.......down that avenue I travel. :)
Yes!! It’s true about people asking what do you do all day. It’s non stop! Yes some days have more down time than others. But there is always cleaning, laundry, things to handle. It’s never ending! 😅😂
Hi Kay those cookies look like my kind of baking very easy.!I wish we could get something similar in the UK I’ll have to have a look, And I like watching day-to-day life of two teenagers, and I’m not sure where the laundry keeps coming from!
My daughter is gluten free and she loves those cookies! I’ve never tried them. Maybe next time. My cat, Finn, who looks exactly like Calvin turned around and looked at the tv when Calvin meowed. He’s watching now and waiting for Calvin yo come back!
I have seen the Sweet Loren's cookies at our grocery store and had been hesitant to try them. With my food intolerances, I have been so weary about trying these (something that I can have all the ingredients). Might have to make a batch (or two) for when family comes into town over Christmas (severe peanut allergy for a nephew).
Dang girl !!! Watching you opening the package from 3 By the Sea made me cry. How wonderful, such a nice surprise. See how special you are to everyone?
Hi Kay, love seeing your knitting projects. I'm enjoying your vlogmas so much. BTW, I tried the Private Selection dark chocolate peppermint truffles. I absolutely love them!
We love Sweet Loren’s. Have you tried the ginger bread flavor? I saw them and didn’t pick them up and now I can find them. My family likes all of them, but especially the cranberry.
I was wondering if you ever knitted socks with a cotton yarn? If so is there any pattern that works better or tips you could share? Thank you for all your wonderful tips. You got me back into knitting
Hi Kay luv all the Vlogmass. Have u ever heard of an integrated heel pattern? I ran across it on Raverly it’s interesting how you knit in the round but get the same look as a heel flap and gusset.

🤣😂 I didn’t even notice that!!! I was like what in the world?! And then went and watched 🤣🤣
I wish I knew how to crochet.... those potholders are beautiful ❤

The music 🎵 I sang along our choir sing this year.
So beautiful potholders. Know the feeling of dirty looking potholders.
Your mail so beautiful bag

Love your black kitty Calvin. I used to have an all black cat too and I loved him so much. They are the best!

Isn’t it amazing how dogs know exactly what time it is? Same reaction to the yarn colors, stunning!
Love the new project bad from Three By The Sea! What a nice gift!
What a pretty yarn you are using for the potholders!

Jovial is really good! Tinkyada is another great GF pasta option.
@@devinf5375 Thanks! What is that one made with?
Tinkyada is made from just brown rice and water 🙂

Not sure if you know or not but I have a vlogmas going too!! If you want to watch, it's fun! ❤
Those cookies are my fave! I have an egg, nut and gluten allergy (super fun lol) and I found these and it was a game changer. My kids love them too

LOVELY POTHOLDERS!!! Will have to give them a try.
I interpreted Calvin's meows to say that if there is yarn in the mail, it's for him. It is SO good to see him in the videos-I miss him.

Interesting! I’ve never thought about adding anything to these as they truly are thick enough that I’ve never had an issue using them.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 eeeeeeeee! when you opened thst 3 By the Sea gift and I saw that fabric I was so excited for you!!! I literally clapped ❤❤❤

Bag is so cute!!! Love that video!!! Passed along the cookies for a friend who can’t have dairy!!
The project bag you were sent is lovely. Great to see the animals, they’re so cute. 👍😊🎄
The chicken spaghetti looked so delicious. Recipe please. ❤. We love the Adriel’s chicken sausage as well. Never thought of cutting them up.
Those look like great pot holders. I love how relaxed you are at Christmas time.

I love the pot holders. I'm wondering about putting a thumbs sleeve on one side for grabbing the pots?
Awesome! Let me know how that works.
Wow so fast, you finished it already! It looks so good!
I love how your kitties just popped in to the scene on the steps! You can SO use that project bag all year if you want.
You were so cute when you opened the new project bag - I almost cried! 🎄
Please tell me the pattern you're using for your blanket.
The coziest memory by Kemper Wray. Details are always on my Ravelry project page, which I always link below.
I’m knitting and watching your video with my cat LuLu on my lap. She looked very confused when she heard Calvin meow. 🐈⬛

A 28 minute long vlogmas!? Woo!!!
I was apparently chatty! 😆😂
@@CrazySockLady chatty vlogs are the best ones 😂🩷
That's so exciting that they sent you the bigger bag!! It's the cutest!
Oh I have that same side table with the flip up tops on each side.
This one’s different than that, the sides open up into cabinets. It’s one I had never seen before and had to grab it when I saw it!
Hi Kay, love seeing your knitting projects. I'm enjoying your vlogmas so much. BTW, I tried the Private Selection dark chocolate peppermint truffles. I absolutely love them!
They are SO good! Eric and I both can’t stay out of them!
I love the elf on the shelf little knit hat ❤
We have the same Tardis ornament !
We love Sweet Loren’s. Have you tried the ginger bread flavor? I saw them and didn’t pick them up and now I can find them.
My family likes all of them, but especially the cranberry.
Nope, I haven’t tried those ones yet.
Love those cookies. They are a great quick dessert.
Hello from Mounds, Illinois!
I was wondering if you ever knitted socks with a cotton yarn? If so is there any pattern that works better or tips you could share?
Thank you for all your wonderful tips. You got me back into knitting
Sorry, I’ve never used cotton for socks.
Ok so which son has the Batman throw? Lol. Wyatt's socks are turning out so cute!❤
Wyatt! ☺️

I haven’t! I’ll have to look it up.
I got a little too excited when I saw your Tardis ornament 😅
Make black potholders for the grilling guys lol
😂🤣 well, why didn’t I think of that?!
You have such a soothing Vlogmas! ❤
Thank you! ♥️
Love these. Have any patterns for dishcloths?
I have a Ravelry project page for my dishcloths I make and my favorite patter is linked there ♥️
Love the bag, so cute! I also have to have gluten free food, and my family will end up eating it and not knowing there's no gluten.
Same! We cook gluten free and have no complaints from the kiddos!
your cats are so cute!!!!
My kids watch with me, and they were so excited when they saw you use the same brands of gluten-free bread, sausages, and cookies as we do 😂
That’s awesome! 😂
Have you started your cowl with Homespun House fade, I hope you will share
Nope, I won’t be starting it until after the new year. I’m just doing my blanket and socks this month.
That potholder is very cute! Is it heat resistant enough? Do you add anything to the inside?
Nope I don’t add anything to the inside. We have never had any issues with them and heat. They work great!
💛
Please tell me the name of the potholder pattern..I’ve really been enjoying your vlogmas.
My project page is linked below the video and the pattern is linked there ♥️
You asked your dogs if they wanted to go outside and my dog perked up and went to the door 😂
😂🤣
Love your dog crate. I need that. My puppy has an ugly black wire one. Do you get the cookie dough from Kroger?
Yep, I get it from Kroger
Do your potholders shrink when you wash and dry them?
I haven’t had any issues with them shrinking.
You have a TARDIS ornament!!!
Yep!
