Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly." "Do not therefore do injustice to yourselves. Remember one day you will meet Allah and answer your deeds. So beware, do not astray from the path of righteousness after I am gone."

@@artelcampos we'll never know will we. Anyway the point is still valid, it's not socioeconomic reasons that led to race/racism, race is a superficial idea that somebody came up with to categorize human beings. If humans are superior to one another it is only through good deeds and good character which has nothing to do with melanin or melanin-based culture.
According to the definition of racism he’s not a racist as long as he doesn’t treat them differently. I think he wanted to be honest about it and have a conversation about it, he seemed respectful, one of the kids even said he always respected him. It’s a shame they fired him over this, it’s hard to find teachers that actually teach these days. He’s clearly not a racist otherwise the kids wouldn’t have respected him up to that point. I would have liked to see the whole conversation.
What he said wasn’t necessarily wrong, I mean he was actually right, but I would say that it’s not about the race, but more about ethnicity and nationality. The whole concept of being a patriot, is literally ethnocentric. Most people like their countries, they are attached to them, and tell stories of how they are far superior due to something, example: Turks brag about Ottoman Empire; Greeks brag about their history; Israelis literally brag about being the chosen people; people from Caucasus brag about being strong (places like Georgia, Dagestan, Chechnya, Ossetia, etc); Americans brag about having liberty and most powerful economy, as well as army; Japanese people brag about their traditions and honour; Britts brag about their food (just kidding); and living in Russia, I know for fact that Russians brag about almost everything, from having the first person in space, to having the biggest territory/country. You get my point. Literally every nation thinks about themselves as a superior one in some aspects. Germans literally had all the best minds and technologies during WWII, hence why most of their scientists were kidnapped by the US, and didn’t face any judgment for the war crimes that Germany has committed. It’s just how people are built. Everyone feels that they’re country is special in some way, and even if some people don’t think so, it’s not a majority, it’s a minority
He was explaining the egotistical level everyone has about themselves and for what they already are. This is true and he is being honest and everybody thinks this in some level. The error here is that he was teaching this to little kids. There is a reason children are taught minimal subjects compared to other higher institutions
At no deeper level one should think that one is superior to the other in value. Everyone can have different abilities, physical attributes or temperament, but the everyone has the same human value
I had a social studies teacher like this in the 90’s at Chicopee High…he thought everyone was a racist just not honest and then proceeded to try and redefine was racism meant… he was a loser and the kids just labeled him a racist and life went on…
man these comments and students cant understand basic words, he’s saying people have an instinctive bias to their own race ,which is true, people are genetically bias to themselves in every way, including their own race
How is that racist? That's how he feels in his heart. They keep calling him racist, LoL. Anybody can be "ethnocentric". Every person of their certain ethnic background can be ethnocentric about their own race, it's a personal belief.
if you only have love for your own race Then you only leave space to discriminate And to discriminate only generates hate And when you hate, then you're bound to get irate.
He might be racist or worded things wrong. They had respect for him before this for a reason. He sounds like a calm guy. But I think what he meant to say was that subconsciously we favoritize our own race because we’ve grown into it and obviously it’s a part of us and it’s something we “belong “ to. Like a family, and gang, etc. point is we want to belong and we see the best in our culture rather than others…debate?
We favour our own race because we understand our own culture and need not explain and most importantly, we are afraid to be rejected by others.Other races might not want anything to do with our race because of their perceived superiority or their perceived mistreatment from our own biases towards them.
The teachers right. But the audience is too young to handle this discussion. Everyone is default racist but whether or not you act on it or become dependent on it is what makes a good person or bad person.

All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a White has no superiority over a Black nor a Black has any superiority over a White except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood.
This comment section proofs that the CEO of racism is doing his job very well.
Unfortunately, I think that there are a lot of people in the comments section that did not take this into consideration
At no deeper level one should think that one is superior to the other in value. Everyone can have different abilities, physical attributes or temperament, but the everyone has the same human value

Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate
And when you hate, then you're bound to get irate.
They didn't respect this guy before he said that, they might've been "cool" with him, but they didn't respect him
