@theapavlou3030 oh Uhm I don't know I am a guy and I saw the movie, I think this part of the the movie was very intriguing and interesting part of the story I really liked how they did this, so as a guy I find her very captivating, uniquely beautiful. So in summary you must be jealous and either weigh 300lbs or are a very unattractive lesbian.
Francis really did Al a solid. The studios resisted his casting and he was still a somewhat green and unproven actor at the time but Francis always believed in him.
Just rewatched him in 'and justice for all. Dude is just such an icon.

This summer went to the new Academy Museum in L.A., watched the amazing exhibition of the making of the Godfather and Coppola explaining his choice of Pacino. Exceptional choices and extraordinary actors, movie and Director.

GF123, Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon, Scent of a women, Carlitos Way, Donnie Brasco, and numerous stage and tv productions and awards. He is arguably the goat. But of course there was Daniel Day Lewis who redefined great acting. And Hardy is also unbelievably talented.

I just finnished watching the mini-series "The Offer" and I love it, the guy playing Pacino matched it's facial expressions, even my Mom loved the series, I'm sure my Great Aunt (who passed in 2023) would have loved it, she loved The Godfather trilogy.

I think it is disgusting of an actor to read a part, know it has requirements he can't fulfill, and not bring it up prior to casting.
Plenty of actors go out and learn to drive, learn to speak a few sentences in a foreign language, learn to dance.

Al Pacino has always been my favorite actor, because we share the same type of heritage. He’s one of those diversified actors that can play any part and great at his acting! Hopefully, we’ll see him in a few more great pictures!

Francis had the whole scene in his head obviously. But whats funny is I think he expected Al to just see what he saw and do it. What a masterpiece they all made together. Every actor and part were perfectly paired like it was meant to be. Unforgetable!

Interesting as he speaks Italian with Virgil Sollozzo in the restaurant scene…broken as it is…😂. Which if going in film chronological order is before the Italian wedding scene, though could have obviously been shot later…
The scene with Sollozzo was moved up because studio execs didn’t like Pacino. Once they saw that scene in the restaurant, how could they get rid of him?
In the Hype to the movie it was him that bragged about going to Sicily not just any place in Sucily but to an area that spoke Sicilian with the same accent and inflections of the area his Father Don Corleine(in the movie)spoke in the movie when he spoke in Sicilian.
Maybe I have him confused with Brandon but I seriously doubt it. I doubt it so much ill put money on it if someone can explain to me how taking a bet from a total stranger over the phone is the text book definition of a bookie. LMAO

Coppola legitimately sounds like a director stitching together a masterpiece out of literal duck tape and glue, like it doesn't even matter how AD/HOC the behind the scenes are so long as the final product is quality.
Coppola made his bones as a filmmaker working under Roger Corman so he knew how work the magic even when the material was somewhat questionable.
