Ikr, being a minor doesn't always being the innocent and kind one. I've seen some minors harassing adults and rather than feeling sorry, they call the adults they harrassed are being weak cz they "lose" from a kid.
What I really like about the 'villains' here is that all of them have backstories that while don't change that they had to be stopped, really make it clear they're 3 Dimensional characters who went through shit that turned them into the way they are rather than just evil because Mwahahahaa.
He was often bullied in the past, which made him melancholic, introvert, isolated and diffident. That also makes me sad, because all his "flaws" gave him perks that no one except himself (and the tweels) recognized.

You know, with all the relatable problems the dorm heads went through, I'm somehow reminded of a quote from "The Dark Knight," quoted by Harvey Dent: "You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become a villain." Each of the dorm heads were put through their own personal circle of hell (Riddle growing up with a mother who sacrificed her son's happiness and decided everything for him so he could be exceptional, Leona always being put down by his people because of his status as second born prince, and Azul being picked on for being different from others) and they could've found some way to cope with them and retain their individuality, but because their pasts was too traumatic and they were either unable to do something about it (for one reason or another), they let there negative emotions fester and infect them, so to speak, thus making them the way they were before Yuu (Prefect) came along. They each had some chances to become better than the nonsense their lives threw at them, even people that could've helped them (Riddle meeting Chen'ya and Trey, Farena trying to talk some sense into Leona, Azul meeting the Leech twins), however, their dark passions kept getting fed because of their situations throwing spanners into the works, and also because those people who were or tried to be there for them didn't or couldn't do anything to help them, and they all grew up becoming worse than the people that made their lives horrid.

Honestly, I never knew I would relate to Azul a lot, that's why he's become only my favorite characters from twisted wonderland, Hecc babey I know how it feels to be treated horribly and just have it mess up your life and relationships with people. I was bullied until primary school to highschool and people did pretty horrible stuff and I just never really fit in because of bad odour, me being quiet etc. Bullying just leaves a huge scar on your life tbh.
When I was watching this and thought about Azul my brother asked me if I wanted takoyaki(a food with chopped octopus) for a snack since he bought some, what a weird moment.

Like the other Overblot victims, I can’t excuse him for his actions because he hurt people. However, this backstory is definitely the reason why he acted the way he did in the present. I can’t say I was a victim of bullying, but I do know what it’s like to feel alone at times. His own cruel actions were a reflection of the torment he suffered as a child, because that’s all he ever knew. I feel like the twins made it slightly worse by encouraging him to use his magic to “help” people, but to be fair they were young at the time and never thought about how bad things could really get (plus I feel like they may have tried to say something before but just couldn’t bring themselves to do so). That’s just how I see the situation overall. But if there’s one thing we can agree on, is that Azul needs hugs. Lots of them

Couldn’t agree more. The twins definitely knew what he was doing and should’ve known better themselves. They were young though, which isn’t much of an excuse, so it’s not like they’d realize it at first. Thankfully, things improving much better now than they were before
