- Ongoing issues on 14th Street were highlighted again this week after a deadly stabbing by an emotionally disturbed man. There are more police in the area, but people living there say more has to be done not only on 14th Street but other blocks in the city. FOX 5 NY's Michelle Ross highlights some of these areas.

125th has always been bad, but recently, it's REALLY been BAD.
Facts always! Ugh
125th used to be nicer
Knocka don't miss Lexington Ave at all
Zombie land😬
Facts. I'm so glad she pointed out the major businesses on all 4 corners of 125th & Lex being shut down. It's ridiculous how that happened.
Having a "sanctuary " policy makes all these issues worse!
Stop blaming the whole “sanctuary” policy because let’s be honest the BIGGER PICTURE here is Homelessness!!! MENTALLY ILL!!! FEENS!! and of course the rising cost of living which includes rent and food prices. all leads up to crime while yes there are migrants who commit crime there are more who actually work and get try there best then commit crime. so stop it
🤣😂
"The new reality in west is: rapes, missing persons, stabbings, killings, murders, shootings and even beheadings are happening all the time. There is a link between these crimes and mass migration.

When the McDs shuts down, you know it’s bad 😂
LOL. F***ed up but true.
No kizzy 😂
Probly shouldnt have spent all your money on illegal migrants who dont pay taxes for services like this
Thank you!!!!
Vote the members of the city council out that love and protect criminals more than innocent civilians
The voters are the reason for all of this. The politicians are just a reflection of the voters.
this is deeply disturbing, mayor Adams has this trend of not taking credit for any mistakes. he seems to always blame all his troubles on Albany. NYC dont need a mayor like that, and those two snobby women sitting around him smirking when talking about people getting attacked in broad daylight. sickening, they should be ashamed.
I usually see him blaming the Gov from TX. Adams was blaming Biden for a few weeks but then the Biden admin raided his campaign manager and now he keeps his mouth shut about Biden.
When The Pathmark had closed down the corner of 125st and Lexington went down hill that its a nightmare area
When did it close down? I remember going in there in like 2015 2016
@@rocketchico.2149 Pretty sure it closed in 2015. Ironically 3rd Ave a block away is getting more developed than ever, with a new Food Bazaar grocery store.

Why do people keep saying we voted for this.. There are a lot of people in NYC that didn’t vote for this..There are a lot of brainwashed people here. This is what keeps these politicians in power.
Most of the elections are rigged anyways. 😔
You voted for it if you live in NYC. Nearly 85% of NYers vote Democrat.
during the Julian and Bloomberg era, which was 20 years of peace and prosperity of NYC. It took several years just to make the trains safe. Now those days disappeared when DeBlasio came in. He destroyed NYC within two months of his stupid policies, and it has gone down hill since
the politicians that were elected dont care about their people
@@dontgiveinfo20 years of peace and prosperity? How ignorant and narrow minded could you be? Are you that naive to think peace is everyones life in NYC? The problems we have today have always been there.
Mayor Adams and his two Spinx on either side of him making one excuse after another. Inarticulately.
The result of soft on crime policy. Vote in November for your family and community.
@@malin7919 He's not really soft on crime. He is an ex cop himself after all (also ex GOP).
😂😂😂😂😂
Where have you been ? The issues mentioned on E 125th have been going on for decades
But ITS WORSE
This whole city worse
@ms.brazil4372 No, the levels of poverty and crime in the 70's and 80's are legendary
@@littleblackduck3134 125th & Lex is definitely much worse than 10 years ago. I've been around since 2006.
Very true but the problem, is there no longer any form of class or civility its truly a zombie land now
Bodega owner: "I've been here 3 years but it feels like 30 years"🥴😵😵💫
Mayor. Giuliani the only one who knew how to fix this
I had a Itialian partner at work who referred to him as a ' War time Mayor'
Oh please 😂
@@duckmercy11 Exactly
😂😂😂😂😂😂
125th & Lexington is nasty.
125th street has always been like that crime is up everywhere the problem is the government not the city 5 years ago it wasn’t like this let that sink in
125th now is better then it was 5 years ago I remember when 125th was zombieland
@@joeyskywalker1322 yea but take the cops off the block and yu will see what it will be
@@joeyskywalker1322it still is wtf
@@mikej6624 Not not like before bro
@@joeyskywalker1322 nah i graduated HS in 2018 and went to hs on 125 bt 5th and Lenox.. it WASNT like that, never had that many crackheads.. i would know I’m from Harlem and still live here
Thank you progressive democratic city council and albany.
People don't want to hear statistics about crime being down when they can see all the crime and drugs and crazies right in front of them.
Nyc is a complete mess! I can’t wait to get out although every city has seemed to lost it ..
I'm already in Copenhagen Denmark 🇩🇰 Nooo BLACKSSS
@@fabiolous70 Reporting you.
Yeah I don't think America has any great major cities anymore. The whole country has turned to shit including little towns.
@@migez1 right the small towns are even more plagued with drug abuse who wants to deal with this sober 😡😤
@@duckmercy11fyi i also reported him probably for the same comment which would indicate these reported comments arent really being removed.
"Other blocks in the city?" It's not about blocks, it's about the people in the city. Clean up a block and they move.
Start by getting rid of the clinics
The best way to deal with the violence in NYC is to move. Those politicians and judges don't care about you. There are plenty of cities in New Jersey only 30 minutes away that look night and day from New York City because it may not be perfect but at least the politicians and judges here in Jersey care more than they do in New York. I'm about a 27 min drive from the cesspool that is Manhattan and there are zero shootings, zero homeless, zero store lootings, etc....... New York could be a safe place to live in 72 hours if anybody actually gave a shit. Instead all they care about is taking more of your money in taxes to line their pockets. They make roughly a million dollars a day on cars crossing the George Washington bridge alone.......... But there are potholes on the roadway of the George Washington bridge...... Think about that for a second. A million dollars a day but you can't fill fucking potholes. That money is definitely going somewhere.
you know it!
Couldn’t have said it better!
On *SOME* city blocks?!?! 😳🤯🤔
Glad I left 11th Street and Ave B, after ten years, in 2003.
Ah what? I was in Manhattan today and dude, I was safe though. : 0
Enough with the freaking criminals who are killing people in NYC. > : (
Crazy how they say crime is going down. Every day on the news crime is all you see smh
the only thing I know is NYC has never been worse since Adams became mayor.
1:23 these jordans JUST came out how tf homie went from buying $220 Jays a week ago to homeless and strung out on the street that fast 😭
Canal Street bootleg special 😂
he prolly stole them off canal street 😂😂
14th and 125th always been crazy
Lexington and 125th was written about by The Velvet Underground in "Waiting for my man". In 1967 it was bad. It was going gentrified is all.
Former MTA lady should've shut up and kept walking. She was absolutely horrible at her job.
She has the reason to say something in the news. : )
Pretty blonde privilege 😂
125th/Lexington....the infamous Zombieland... cops arresting the bad guys but judges keep letting them out
I wonder if my accountant can use the Adams math formula for my taxes this year.
This what they get for dismantling places Like Bellevue and other institutions for the mentally unfit.
Those places were barbaric and wouldn't be allowed today.
@@duckmercy11 So now the streets are barbaric and is being allowed right now. Great.
@@duckmercy11 if Bellevue is bBarbaric then humanize it. Some of these people do not belong on their own.
@@driversseat1707 Nah, freedom first. 4th amendment.
I was a Democrat, not anymore. You have to be insane to vote for these people..completely insane.
how about we million man march through new york and chicago all july 4th weekend and actually make a difference?
The issue on 4th street started during the pandemic, it looks so nice and clean today, hopefully it will remind like this forever!!
Did the government of NYC forget the implementation and start legal drug injection location sites (heroin) and use overdosing as an excuse in NYC? I haven't forgotten.
“Give us the authority” “to govern them the care that they need” the second quote felt like a must follow up statement
Anyone that lives in NYC or is from NYC knows its a sh!thole get out while u can
The vibrancy of cultural enrichment on full display.
The parsing of words by corporate media really is a big part of the problem.
Violence crime is down 50% compared to the 80s and 90s. It's down 75% in big cities like NY and LA. Fortunately. Young people have no idea what violence on a mass scale looks like. 💯
You can't really compare those times to current times the crimes are different from then because woman shelter they're baby daddies and boyfriends and so do a lot of parents with they're children that over 18 years old.
@@UmbrellaAcademyOfficial2024 I'm not comparing the times. I'm comparing the violent crime statistics from that time, to the violent crime statistics now.
Those stats are just random numbers they come up with. Everyone and their mother knows crime is at a all time high this year.
You obviously weren't here in the 70s-90s. 😂
Ain't nothing changed since then.
Grand Street is getting bad too, by the D train stop. And midtown east.
"Temporary"? Everything on this planet is temporary.
Sarah always makes her presence. The city is just about finished, and not sure how could the city thinking that opening up free drug sites would ever be a good idea to begin with!!! WTF!!
Mayor Adams is 10000% correct on this one!!!
Mann...I walk thru those blocks on ave a when I get off at 14th and all those homeless people and whatever I dare then 2 say sh*t and they see me and they don't. Don't f*ck wit me and I.....not even gonna say tha tha rest or else ima get locked up 4 defending myself.
Is it really worth getting locked up, having a bruised hand from striking one of those crazies, unable to work effectively because of your bruised hand, ripping your clothes, rolling on the floor in a scuffle, and putting you in a bad mood? Over what? Some random dude yelling at you? Don’t let your pride put you in a bad spot.
All governments should have that authority.
YOU GUYS FORGET STATEN ISLAND ALL THESE MOVES HERE WE CALLED THE 120 PCT NOTHING DONE
@4:07, I paused this video. What kind of violence is this. A killer homeless type thing that happens in Manhattan stuff? : (
The fact that one collapsed is rare as hell. 👀
I don’t care what anyone says…drug addiction is a SELF problem, pick up a Bible! You don’t have to shoot up or get high anytime you feel stressed
Adams shut up we only seen you on Fulton Street downtown Manhattan
The saga continues!. The beautiful Capital of the world continues to cave in from within. Keep singing!. I LOve NY!!!! 🤑
The whole city is in danger. Homeless hunger poverty brings the worst out of people.
crazy
He isn't doing anything about it just allowing more problems to enter new York
People aint stupid, everyone knows crime aint down
Why is the solution more police? Mi thought the city people wanted less or no cops… stick with that plan
@1:23 I guess homeboy could still afford Jordans.
“Violence concerns”? The people that live in those neighborhoods have been begging for help for months. And you’re calling it a concern. 👍🏻 it’s a crisis at this point.
None of them are yt
East harlem is actually way better than it was before a few years ago man it was horrible
When does other people's problem and choices they make stop being other people's problem????????
Bragg said crime is down---he got the big guy!!!!!!! NYC is roaring back---lower taxes, food prices down, and tourism way way up!
2:26 the guy who rides the e bike threatens people all the time
Oh hell no 1:50
1:11 we really do call it zombieland 😂😂 it’s so sad. They even closed mc Donalds.
Yoooo mc Donald’s closing down is odeee crazy.
No accommodation for inflation?
Here is the problem the city keeps letting them go.
Some people are so soft.
Your right bro I hate peace I want to live in fear or on edge everyday. No wonder New York is a cesspool now. Your mentality is a representation of NY values.
If you want to see plans for the future and who is to benefit and who are to be put out, just look at the faces of the news anchors and reporters. They seem to hire similar people in this area, and others...
🙏🏼😖
Thanks COVID 19 we are going back to the 80s
New Yorkers reaping what they sow.
Harlem didn’t have as many crackheads on the streets in the 2010s
New york seems like the wild wild west this is insane.
Mayor Adam’s what a mess
put a sign W only
When you let people use and get drugs. This is the outcome, go back to arresting and giving forced treatment.
New York is cooked!

It’s a Democratic problem…not a street number problem
Yall get what yall Voted for ,so why complain 😂😂
I love the naive young girls that watch that dumb “Sex And The City” show and then romanticize NYC and move here.
Hey ladies, slightly off topic with this statement….the creator of that show said she regrets living her life like that.
Now back on topic….that show was from a completely different and MUCH SAFER era of NYC, which was created by Rudy Giuliani.
That era is LONG gone. Now it’s “Escape From New York.” Do not come here, for your own safety. This city is completely out of control.
Thank a Dem, you people voted for this
