The Faces of Maine's Working Waterfront: Atlantic Sea Farms

Lobsterman Keith Miller of Spruce Head, Maine, looks to diversify his business by farming kelp, a crop which runs countercyclical to the lobstering season. Keith has partnered with Atlantic Sea Farms (ASF), which provides his seed each fall and purchases his harvested kelp every spring.
Atlantic Sea Farms turns freshly harvested kelp into delicious, fresh kelp foods. CEO Bri Warner discusses the important role aquaculture can play in diversifying our marine economy and sustaining traditional livelihoods along the coast of Maine.
