- The Georgia State Senate special committee investigating Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is holding a hearing that will feature testimony from district attorneys Marie Broder and Wright Barksdale along with Rep. Mesha Mainor.
This will be the committee's fifth meeting into allegations of misconduct during Willis's prosecution of former President Donald Trump.

Are DAs also educated in finance and budget as well as they are in the law? If they are not educated on finance and in their right mind would give them authority on such a huge amount of funds to spend as they see fit?? Makes no sense to me.
That is what is so wrong with our government. Congress votes to give a huge amount of money to all the deep state agencies with no lists of where that money is going to go or any oversite of if that money went to the correct areas. No wonder we don't balance our national budgets and why we are 35 trillion dollars in debt. There is a certain amount of taxes we pay in , and we can rest assured that every dollar of those taxes will get spent , and most of the time more, regardless if those taxes are always completely needed or not. Plus if these agencies and offices don't spend all the money from the previous year they fear they will get less money this year.

I disagree. Use transcripts to get to the talking point or scan for it. I think they need to film more. They keep cutting the footage while they're still talking. And wasn't this a live broadcast?

So if the county gives money to a DA for the purchase of a vehicle but that DA spends that money on say hiring another lawyer , there is nothing that can be done to that DA to hold him accountable for spending that money on something else besides what it was allocated for?? In other words it does not matter what the money is allocated for, if the county or state allocated that money to the DA , that DA can spend it however he/she see fit without any oversite at all??
Where did that thinking come from? Is all agencies operated in this way with no oversite on any of our, the tax payers, money?? That deffinantly needs to change. DAs should not be given huge amounts of money that can be spend on just what the DA decides without having to show what the money is needed for and to make sure that money is used on said need.
