Theme and Subject-Matter:
The theme of this Surah is to console the Prophet (pbuh) and its object is to remove his anxiety and distress, which was caused by the suspension of revelation. The Prophet is reassured: "Your Rabb has not at all forsaken you, nor is he displeased with you." Then, he is given the good news that the hardships that he was experiencing in the initial stage of his mission will not last long and the later period of life for him will be better than the former period. Before long, Allah will bless him so abundantly that he will be well pleased. This is one of the express prophecies of the Qur'an, which proved literally true later on. When this prophecy was made, there seemed not to be the remotest chance that the helpless and powerless man who had come out to wage a war against ignorance and paganism would ever achieve such wonderful success.
The Prophet (pbuh) is then told: "What made you think that your Rabb has forsaken you, and that We are displeased with you? Whereas the fact is that We have been good to you with kindness after kindness ever since the day of your birth. You were born an orphan, We made the best arrangement for your upbringing and care: you were unaware of the Way, We showed you the Way; you were indigent, We made you rich. All this shows that you have been favored by Us from the very beginning and Our grace and bounty has been constantly focussed on you." These are the similar words which Allah said to console Prophet Musa (Moses) when he was sent to Pharaoh as described in Surah TuaHa vv. 37-42: "We have been looking after you with kindness ever since your birth; therefore, you should be satisfied that you will not be left alone in this dreadful mission. Our bounty will constantly be with you."

That he is talking to you through this verse in short why fear when Allah has control over everything, the believers and the nonbelievers... I learnt something " things that you feel are consuming you .. with your full faith visualize that all that weight is going away and Allah is handling the matter now.. and you don't have to worry

Asalamualaikum I am suffering from anxiety attacks and depression. Last segment of my sleep the anxiety reaches its peak and I feel like I might get an attack. But after listening to this surah I feel better.

I am listening this surah and Alhamdullilah i passed my exams Alhamdullilah.
When this surah was revealed, prophet Muhammed saw was going through a lot of difficulties. He didnt receive any revealtion from Allah swt for a long time. Because of this, the disbelievers and others mocked him and taunted him. Prophet Muhammed saw felt disheartend and upset. Then this surah was revealed.
In the similar way, we come across
Many difficulties and situations where we feel Allah swt has left us. We feel Allah swt doesnt want us anymore. In such a situation, where u feel hopeless please listen to this surah, and i guarantee u will find peace.

Amazing story
True but actually Prophet Muhammad (SAW) actually was depressed because for a while Allah (SWT) did not reveal any surah to him and he felt as if Allah (SWT) had forgotten him. So Allah came down with surah the way the surah was recited was in a reassuring and alarming. Allah (SWT) did not want The Prophet (PBUH) to think he has forgotten him and reminded him he was still there for him.

I was going through severe anxiety and depression and then I got suggested this Surah . It was a life changer, I completely changed as a person, I am more confident, relaxed and happy now. I love quran
I am going through one of the toughest phase of my life..... really in my 21 years of life I have never ever faced such bad days... Nothing can be worst than these days... So m just reciting this surah as much as possible..as soon as I wake up i recite this dua and as I am about to sleep in the night I make sure I recite this dua with its translation...it's really really hard to live rn but I am not loosing hope and m just Clinging on this surah and Allah ...may Allah ease my difficulties and grant me some peace

This Surah was revealed when no message or signs were given to the Prophet SAW for 6 months, Allah SWT did not provide any message nor did Angel Jibreel come with anything. Our Prophet SAW thought that Allah did not want him to be his messenger anymore and had relieved him of his duties. Furthermore he was being taunted by the disbelievers, and he was heavily mocked for believing that Allah SWT had chosen him to be his Prophet. With context and understanding this Surah is so much more beautiful. SubhanAllah

My dua is upon her. This happened to me once and to be frank, it is not a good sign. I’ve cried when I heard a Quran recital. I was under a spell. Allah knows best. I’ve been told that when you’re possessed, you tend to lose your faith and when you hear the Quran you just lose it. May Allah be with her.
8 years has been passed, I still recite this surah like this. It has a different place in my mind and heart. I can't explain how much peace I get reciting Quran. May Allah help us all

One thing I’ve learned from life is that there will be always always problems. But we need to learn to find the positive in the hardships, otherwise we will break down depressed and anxious.
