I’ve been holding SHIB since around 2022, currently around 26M. I try not to obsess too much anymore on my portfolio but when I saw Bitcoin hit an all time high I had to log in. I’m just glad I didn’t sell when I went into the red last year. Overall up 150+% on my portfolio as a whole! Definitely a very nice surprise! I’ve had the mind set of holding until at least 2030 when I bought so unless something crazy happens, I’m in it for the long haul.

This is very dangerous. I invested most of my savings into around 20 different low market cap coins in 2017 and 2018, hoping that one of them would be the next 1000x. Almost all of them went to zero. I've lost so much that today I'm still in a loss. I play it safe and only invest in the top 10 coins now. I'm hoping that this year I will finally break even after investing into crypto for 6 years.

It's hard to miss on the chance of turning 50 bucks into a million especially in today's day and age with ever rising inflation/prices and wages lagging behind... can u blame people they want out? Lotteries make millions for this same reason, difference here is u're trying to hit the right memecoin out of thousands opposed to 6 numbers out of 50 or whatever... Aaaaand *supposedly* u can apply some research here which again, supposedly increases your chances.
I invested in BTC, ETH in 2017 than invested in SOL in 2020, no need to chase meme coins or any other coins.

You just have to catch a coin like a fish. Check if the coin is at least 80% good and catch it after the first pullback. MC at 30k-50k and on a bullish market you can get 20-50-100x even in a day.

the biggest problem with meme coins or these 100x type coins is if you are fairly new or not crypto savvy it should be a no go for you...For me I've only really used centralized exchanges, the others jump in learning curve and usually the smaller, unknown cryptos are on these...also all this airdrop stuff as well requires you to do stuff which will cost you money to do and if you aren't in the know you could lose money and not gain anything...I wanna learn but seems so complicated which is why I don't see how anyone thinks everyone should be getting into crypto, I have people in my family who can't even work a TV remote, and you want them to send money via crypto, one wrong digit in the address and its gone.

@@Hacked715 exactly last year I wanted to get this one crypto early and it did make people a lot of money but it was on some other exchange so I had to create a new account, then I realized I couldn't just buy any, I had to swap for other crypto so I loaded some of that into the wallet...then was met with it being on the wrong network, couldn't just transfer it over without it costing me..then I needed to load another crypto just to do that...then finally got some and I needed ETH to make the transfer to the wallet which at the time would cost like £50 and as I was fairly new and only wanted like £20 worth of this thing in the first place, it wasn't worth it so gave up

I have friends on the peripheries of crypto who would not touch a dex swap site or participate in airdrops due to the steep learning curve, those in crypto for a while often forget that those in the outer circle of crypto are not crazy degens glued to screens and knowing the nuances of it all. I joined a group of people who've been in crypto for a while, nearly everyone had a scam story.

@@ccee3407 it is a gamble and if you need to be ready to lose everything. My main sources are Discord, X and TH-cam and when something interests me I do some extra research. I don´t remember the first time I heard about Bonk but it took me a while to get onboard but Myro I heard about it on Crypto Banter first.

I did something similar with Doge. I watched about $2,000 go up to 30,000 and only took about 5,000 in profit. I rode Dodge and most of my other bags all the way down to the bottom last bull market. Never again. Learn from your mistakes!
Same, but with DOGE. Turned about $4K into $35K then, after Musk was on SNL, let that thing slide back to around $4K...hoping it would reverse. Learned my lesson. The community is strong and part of me believes the influencers got to me.
