    34th Sunday
Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, KING of the Universe
    Luke 23:35-43
One of the criminals who were hanged there kept saying, "Are you not the Messiah? Save yourself and us!" The other rebuked him, saying, "Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? We have been condemned justly, for we are getting what we deserve for our deeds, but this man has done nothing wrong." Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." He replied, "today you will be with me in Paradise."
Today's Solemnity of CHRIST THE KING is the Church way of PROCLAIMING God's plan of Redemption. We give GLORY to the King of Universe for the marvelous love and protection HE has given us. The Kingship of Christ is proclaimed only from and through the CROSS. Our KING is united in our suffering and in carrying our burdens for our sake, thus, we are not afraid to beg Him, JESUS my King, remember me when You come into Your Kingdom. This is the last Sunday of the Liturgical season the peak and the proclamation of Christ the King of the Universe. The thief has no power, what's left to him was his capacity to accept his punishment and to SURRENDER everything to Jesus the King, thus gaining paradise. Let our HUMILITY be the bridge to His Kingdom.
    Prayer
Lord Jesus Our King, You restore all things through Your Cross. Set free us free from the slavery of sins. May we be faithful and be able to proclaim Your Kingdom through words and deeds.
    Amen.
