I'm not really interested in the box or removing the model from the box but what impressed me was the boy wearing gloves which is very rare in a lot of other videos, plus he spoke about the car in good detail, and it was a beautiful car, thankyou.

@DEVASTATOR478 Agreed, I'd love to see some Ferraris done by CMC like the Daytona, 328 GTS, F40, and 355. I really love the cars that have been done thus far, however some more models from more recent years, especially the F40, would be great.

I think I really like the Ferrari 250 California GT LWB. I had to look it up online lol.

You really should make more 1:18 car review!

@clydeyello I appreciate Exoto, but I prefer CMC to Exoto. For me, the 250 Testarossa that CMC came out with not all that long ago is an excellent model. You can't go wrong with either company, but I prefer to collect GT cars. Most of my collection is Kyosho or Hot Wheels Elite. I plan to add more Exoto and CMC models to my collection, I just wish that both would crank out some more models.

@TheMax478 I have seen the Exoto model, and I prefer the attention to detail that CMC gives the F2.

@instirahul My papers say, "This precision model is composed of 1,463 hand-assembled in Germany." I don't know if they switched to China, but my says that it was manufactured in Germany.

@TheKRVR - I believe the components are manufactured in Germany and then shipped to China for assembly. The obvious reason for that would be much, much cheaper labor in China! Instead of $300.00 to do in China, it would likely be $1,000.00 or more done in Germany. CMC's Ferrari 156 Sharknose is a real gem also, as well as the 250 GT SWB California and Maserati 300 S - both with real leather upholstery and incredible detail throughout. I'm fortunate to own 21 CMC diecast cars and have the utmost respect for them as a quality company. My favorite is the 1962 250 GTO, probably because I lust over the real GTO! The Lancia D50 is a very nice model too, with its battery cart and portable starter motor, especially when sitting next to the rolling chassis!

CMC is made in China, not in Germany

  • @clydeyello

@TheKRVR CMC is a Honk-Kong and German based company; most of their line is assembled in China by their ninja craftmen, but some models are built in Germany. I don't know why, I own a couple of their chinese models, and they're as flawless as something handbuilt can be.
Anyway, I disagree with you: Exoto Ferrari models are more detailed - their "Dino" 156 and 500 F1/F2 are probably just the best 1:18 diecasts ever made. Still, CMC is absurdly true to the real thing.

@ClydeYellow - I have to disagree on your comment that some models are built in Germany. It is my understanding that all the components are built and painted in Germany, but then shipped to China for assembly, as that part of the process is the most costly and Chinese labor is some of the cheapest in the world. I do agree that Exoto are typically even more detailed but the company has a poor record of even descent customer service, and there have been lawsuits filed against them due to that.

I own the exoto's version of this, and i should say the cmc's is better and even cheaper.
