Grass in California can be a pain - watering it is expensive (when it doesn't rain weekly you have to have a sprinkler, and water bills are high) and it takes a lot of maintenance. A lot of homes have turf or these non-grass backyards.
rcd4581 we recently put turf in my backyard and it’s wonderful. The dogs love it just as much although it does get hot in the summer. But our dogs love having grass fake or real!

Turf or real, I simply believe a dog deserves to have the best in life and if one can afford it, should have no reservations. I would give anything in the world to make my pup happy but we all have different priorities 😊
