Learn how to identify wildflowers on chalk grassland with Emily Sabin

Welcome back to another #WildflowerWednesday! It's also the first week of June which is a great time to admire chalk grassland wildflowers! Join our Digital Marketing Officer, Emily Sabin, on a walk over Levin Down, her local nature reserve in West Sussex.
The UK holds 5% of the world's chalk grassland (also called lowland calcareous grassland) and it is an increasingly rare habitat here. Lime-rich, but low in nutrients, the thin layer of porous soil is not an easy environment for many plants to grow in. However, there are many wildflowers that thrive in these conditions and nowhere else, and our bumblebees love and depend on them.
