Interesting, I see some other Christian people commenting saying they would respect other religions and don't have to convert, but actually my beliefs are that they should be Christian if I am going to seriously date them, so I can really understand those who are Muslim. If your whole family has one belief system and you bring someone who doesn't share that belief it will cause major riffs and can even cause issues for you in your walk with whomever/whatever you believe in and I don't think that is right (been there, done that, not the best idea for me at least). I'm actually a bit shocked about how open koreans are about Islam, i thought they were kinda negative about it. Religion is a very serious topic, so yeah i understand that they're very hesitant about converting for someone they love, especially koreans because of their culture like you said. Personally i could date any nationality but the person should be muslim. I don't want the person to convert for me, i'd prefer if the person is already muslim.. Because if the person converts for me, well then he doesn't really have Islam in his heart, he just did it for me.. I think one thing Koreans and most Muslims have in common is the whole parent issue haha. As a Muslim myself, I can say that my parents would probably be reluctant to me marrying someone outside the culture and that's how most of these Koreans feel. That being said, today's generation is more open minded and I believe we can work around each other's cultures and learn to respect them. Let's say I began dating a Korean, the only problems I'd face with them are parents, drinking and pork - but that's more on a personal level. For example, if i was to go out to a restaurant with that person, there might be limitations, however I know how to deal with this already as I am from England and have friends who drink and eat pork anyway. I have no problem with the other person eating pork or drinking. I personally don't encourage drinking, but that's not only from a religious pov but just my own worries for other people's health and state of mind. That doesn't mean I would force someone to stop unless they're addicts. Also, if the other person is a Christian, I wouldn't mind because there are so many similarities anyway within the abrahamic religions. In Islam, we believe that Judaism and Christianity are connected to us because they're ALL messages from God. So essentially if you believe in God, who is a singular being, no matter what you call him, whether that's 'God' or 'Allah', to me we're basically worshiping the same thing. At the end of the day, these religions have small differences and more similarities.

Of course the Quran is in Arabic so muslims use the name “Allah” no matter where they’re from, but in my case, since I have Persian roots, my language (mother tongue) also has it’s own name for ‘God’. I also speak English as a first language so I use the name ‘God’ when referring to Allah. I think it’s ridiculous to separate people. We’re all humans and all created by God. Christianity came from God as did Judaism. Just because many Christians don’t dress ‘modestly’ doesn’t mean they are bad people. And there are rulings for pork and drinking in the bible, its just that they aren’t commonly practiced nowadays amongst christians. There are plenty of muslims who break the rules too so you can’t just go around acting like we’re saints or something. Anyway this video isn’t about religious politics but about interracial relationships.

It used to be a beauty trait in ancient Persia, Arabs in the other hands disliked unibrows and thick beards and consider it unattractive traits associated with ajam (Iranians). I’ve lived my whole life in Saudi Arabia among Arabians and I rarely see unibrows or hook noses, most of them especially bedouins have straight noses and long eyelashes with mono brows, light or dark olive skin. Interfaith marriage, in Islam, is prohibited for the Muslim woman not for man - as long as the woman whom the man will marry is Christian or Jew. Thus, a non-Muslim man can't marry a Muslim woman without converting his religion. We respect all religions, but marrying is a different matter.
There is this channel called " Withstanding Love ". The guy is Korean and the girl is actually half filipino and half Sudanese. She is muslim and also her dads side is. They just got married and neither of the parents went to their wedding. The Korean parents didn't approve because she was of color and the Muslim father accepted it as long as the Korean guy would convert to islam, which he didn't. So neither of the parents wanted to show up for the wedding.

As a muslim arab girl, I know that they are most likely just being nice and not telling the truth at all. None of them would date and arab girl/guy because of stereotypes and real behaviors of our own people. Also koreans tend to have a thing for european features, white skin, petite. Arab women are known for exclusively dating within their race, and honestly, it's just for the best. There's a few arab interracial couples or even marriages that last because our culture and (sometimes) religion can clash with the partner's culture and religion.

In my opinion, the greatest form of Love is Respect. No, im not talking abt being respectful while talking etc. Im talking about Respect and Acceptance when it comes to Cultural/religious differences. When you really love someone, you will respect them for who they are and they will do the same. A lot of people change their religion for love, or sometimes just to be able to get married. There's nothing wrong with that, but i personally think that no one should change their religious views for someone else. Of course you can and will try learn more about the other person's religion, culture, values etc... at some point there will be some compromises here and there ... I think that Respect for others becomes easier when you love and respect yourself first, at least for me, it helped me become more understanding and compassionate. I'm korean, but I was born/raised in USA, NY. I went to a diverse high school, I don't really care about race or their culture, the most important thing is personality. But lot of my friends will assume, I like korean guys just cause i'm korean? I'm not attract to korean guys, I know i said race is not important - I'm not attract to any asian guys at my school unless their mulism and dark skin. of course, korean parents are strict when it comes to marriage or culture cause they want someone that has the same tradtional culture. Interesting, I see some other Christian people commenting saying they would respect other religions and don't have to convert, but actually my beliefs are that they should be Christian if I am going to seriously date them, so I can really understand those who are Muslim. If your whole family has one belief system and you bring someone who doesn't share that belief it will cause major riffs and can even cause issues for you in your walk with whomever/whatever you believe in and I don't think that is right (been there, done that, not the best idea for me at least).

I'm actually a bit shocked about how open koreans are about Islam, i thought they were kinda negative about it. Religion is a very serious topic, so yeah i understand that they're very hesitant about converting for someone they love, especially koreans because of their culture like you said. Personally i could date any nationality but the person should be muslim. I don't want the person to convert for me, i'd prefer if the person is already muslim.. Because if the person converts for me, well then he doesn't really have Islam in his heart, he just did it for me..
And understanding each other can also be difficult, because of religion we can see the world and our life in a total different way.

I think one thing Koreans and most Muslims have in common is the whole parent issue haha. As a Muslim myself, I can say that my parents would probably be reluctant to me marrying someone outside the culture and that's how most of these Koreans feel. That being said, today's generation is more open minded and I believe we can work around each other's cultures and learn to respect them.
Let's say I began dating a Korean, the only problems I'd face with them are parents, drinking and pork - but that's more on a personal level. For example, if i was to go out to a restaurant with that person, there might be limitations, however I know how to deal with this already as I am from England and have friends who drink and eat pork anyway. I have no problem with the other person eating pork or drinking. I personally don't encourage drinking, but that's not only from a religious pov but just my own worries for other people's health and state of mind. That doesn't mean I would force someone to stop unless they're addicts.
Also, if the other person is a Christian, I wouldn't mind because there are so many similarities anyway within the abrahamic religions. In Islam, we believe that Judaism and Christianity are connected to us because they're ALL messages from God. So essentially if you believe in God, who is a singular being, no matter what you call him, whether that's 'God' or 'Allah', to me we're basically worshiping the same thing. At the end of the day, these religions have small differences and more similarities.

Of course the Quran is in Arabic so muslims use the name “Allah” no matter where they’re from, but in my case, since I have Persian roots, my language (mother tongue) also has it’s own name for ‘God’. I also speak English as a first language so I use the name ‘God’ when referring to Allah. I think it’s ridiculous to separate people. We’re all humans and all created by God. Christianity came from God as did Judaism. Just because many Christians don’t dress ‘modestly’ doesn’t mean they are bad people. And there are rulings for pork and drinking in the bible, its just that they aren’t commonly practiced nowadays amongst christians. There are plenty of muslims who break the rules too so you can’t just go around acting like we’re saints or something. Anyway this video isn’t about religious politics but about interracial relationships.

There is this channel called " Withstanding Love ". The guy is Korean and the girl is actually half filipino and half Sudanese. She is muslim and also her dads side is. They just got married and neither of the parents went to their wedding. The Korean parents didn't approve because she was of color and the Muslim father accepted it as long as the Korean guy would convert to islam, which he didn't. As a muslim arab girl, I know that they are most likely just being nice and not telling the truth at all. None of them would date and arab girl/guy because of stereotypes and real behaviors of our own people. Also koreans tend to have a thing for european features, white skin, petite. Arab women are known for exclusively dating within their race, and honestly, it's just for the best. There's a few arab interracial couples or even marriages that last because our culture and (sometimes) religion can clash with the partner's culture and religion.

In my opinion, the greatest form of Love is Respect. No, im not talking abt being respectful while talking etc. Im talking about Respect and Acceptance when it comes to Cultural/religious differences. When you really love someone, you will respect them for who they are and they will do the same. A lot of people change their religion for love, or sometimes just to be able to get married. There's nothing wrong with that, but i personally think that no one should change their religious views for someone else. Of course you can and will try learn more about the other person's religion, culture, values etc... at some point there will be some compromises here and there ... I think that Respect for others becomes easier when you love and respect yourself first, at least for me, it helped me become more understanding and compassionate.

I'm korean, but I was born/raised in USA, NY. I went to a diverse high school, I don't really care about race or their culture, the most important thing is personality. But lot of my friends will assume, I like korean guys just cause i'm korean? I'm not attract to korean guys, I know i said race is not important - I'm not attract to any asian guys at my school unless their mulism and dark skin. of course, korean parents are strict when it comes to marriage or culture cause they want someone that has the same tradtional culture. If my parents were against the marriage, I will still marry that person and not invite my parents(so harsh right, but their against the idea of the love of my life). Well, I'm currently a college student I get attracted to mulism or dark skin at my college, their really attract and I find their culture more interesting than my culture lol. If you love someone, you would change it for that person no matter what, cause that's what love is. this video was on my reccomedation, so i click on it.

The other week I met a Kenyan guy who kept asking me if I would date a Kenyan guy (not him, but his friends). I said Yes, cause that's common courtesy, but in my mind, and my true opinion is definitely No. He was too much of a big talk and praised Nairobi every day for the whole 15 days straight that I worked with him.
