One thing i like to do with remote doors is wire a timer to the cell door controls so all the cells in a block open and close according to the daily regime. It eliminates a lot of the strain on the door control operators. Straggler prisoners can be an issue but it can be solved by setting the timer to leave the doors open an extra hour. You can wire as many cells to a door control as you want this way without overwhelming the operator.

And it doesn't matter how many heavy doors are still between them and freedom after breaking that staff door, as long as it leads outside the area they are meant to be in (as with deployment) they'll try to escape again and again. If you are willing to get creative with your entry way road barriars can also be used as a riot stopper one button and boom 8 meters thick of on demand solitary door for your air lock.
Very informative and helpful. I didn't realize the standard doors could be used as cell doors. And I've placed remote doors at the main entrance of my primary prison, but your layout will solve the problem of both doors being open at the same time. Thanks
Yep. It's easier to just work a shower head into your cell design than it is to redo the entire cell block because you forgot to work in a shower room. Plus it also helps satisfy the Privacy need.
lol I can put any shortcut doors I want in my prison considering that its an island bound prison so they have no choice but to go through the road if they dont want to swim and climb three of my perimeter walls while being sniped plus my main entrance is also just whole bunch of road gates... wish I could use road barriers outside of the road Xd

Fencing around your prison perimeter should also add an extra layer of protection from escape attempts too, particularly perimeter fences.

A word you can let solitary doors open automaticly with a door servo and door timer just set them on the open times and lock up times.

How did you use "Prison-Wide Escape Attempt" to simulate an escape? Is it a mod, or a mode I don't know about.
That's a mod called total chaos. It's great for testing prison designs, plus it has a mode called "shankpocolypse"
