27:36 Christian Borle and Brendon Uranowitz being nominated in the same category just a year before they meet and work together in Falsettos. oh, how small is the theatre world and also not
Christian Borle really does this thing where before they announce the winner in his category he talks to the person beside him (and not facing the stage at all) 27:30
I'm just watching this: I love that the presenters (a couple of tremendous actors) did a nice little number at the beginning, in order to give space to the "A Musical" number. It was a great show, and Kristen and Alan show they greatness and humbleness. They showed up at the end of the number and it was awesome!
1:08:35 when Ruthie Ann Miles talked about her husband I'm literally in tears. Watching this in 2019 and all I ever thought was how devastating it was for both of them to lose their children. I hope Ruthie and her husband stay strong together.
The speeches for this Tony Awards are heartfelt, triumphant and hilarious by some of the winners! I love it. The King and I is such a classic play that im not surprised they won a good amount of the awards. Kristin and Scott are really funny hosts - I don't mind them again teaming up. Meanwhile, Josh Groban, the guy always add a touch a class to any award show. What a performance for the section where we honor the departed who had left that year.
1:51 yeah look me in the eye and say that (and if Cabaret ever gets revived again for god sakes sing something else!) because I'm not buying it (even Gypsy had a different number when it had a 2003 revival) well they did revive it again without Cumming but they still did the same damn song 3:48 sounds like the American Theatre Wing knew something that the public didn't What it took that long for Helen Mirren to win a Tony Award? The Audience isn't that play the reason why The Crown exists? I just realized that the King and I and Sound of Music are kind of the same musical expect different time period, different setting, except one has a happy ending Man how come we don't see Tommy Tune at the Tony Awards anymore? and it was there I realized "Dayam, Fun Home has won this" and now I wish that Raina Telgemeier would give her Graphic Novels the musical treatment (especially Ghosts....I'd do it before Disney tries to get Coco on the stage no wait Drama, I want to know what Moon Over Mississippi would sound like) she says she would try to be less that 46 seconds but she goes on long enough to trigger the tap dancers It's a shame that Sideshow didn't get recognition in the revival department 1:29:40 they have, your part was played by Joel Grey which he won an Oscar for, and for the record they got most of the OBC of Rent when that film version happened) Why didn't Finding Neverland get any love? and if that song had existed on Glee in time Shue would have found the balls to standup to Sue better and from that moment on, Josh Groban spent more time on the New York Stage, RIP to those that have passed away since this ceremony most recently Chita Rivera take it up with the American Theatre Wing Krisitin
Kristin thought he said 'phone home' instead of 'fun home' and came out dressed as ET. It's a joke against Alan's Scottish accent and the way he pronounces 'phone'.

Also Max Von Essen in the same category who played Marvin in the touring cast!

3:45 Oh everybody look, there is uncle Weinstein!!!!
I shivered when I heard his name lol
Look at them bow down to him. Sickening.
I wish Something Rotten came to my country. I love the music
13:10 Helen Mirren Elizabeth Moss, Carey Mulligan and Ruth Wilson together ❤❤❤❤
My mood shifted drastically when I saw Harvey 😑😑😑
‘Daddy has to eat’ NO ALAN.
Someone please explain the ET X Fun Home joke of Kristin????
Kristin thought he said 'phone home' instead of 'fun home' and came out dressed as ET. It's a joke against Alan's Scottish accent and the way he pronounces 'phone'.
Anybody else spot Ivanka at 11:44... ick 😩 #complicit
Her and Weinstein - what a way to taint a perfectly good Tony Awards.
I was skipping and like literally GASPED so loud when I saw JCM like omg my hero??!??!!??!!
oh Kristen let it go
Hi do yoy perhaps have the 2016 tony awards ??
where is NPH?
How is that not JB and KG in the opening. Someone got fired for that. Tenacious D is life.

39:42 Kristen is so tiny 😂
47:13 I spot a Corey Cott
Do you have the 2016 Tony's?
I have all the tonys from last year through 1963
@@RoBearWI8 THROUGH 1963? how did you get the ones that PoochSmooch doesn't have?
I’ve been looking for the 2016 Tony’s for so long, still haven’t had any luck finding it on here.
2016 tonys?
Ivanka Trump @11:46 lol
'Stronger' - woeful. I feel as if I have been thrust into Estonia's entry for Eurovision!!! This is yet another low point in Broadway musical theatre.
Seeing Harvey W in the audience getting attention.... 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢... bruh loved this show though
at 1:57:11 i had goosebumps
wow that intro really age awfully
Anna Wintour? Seat should've gone to someone else.
She is the editor of vogue and Broadway always need promotion.
Sorry the two host idea failed Miserably! The rest was Fantastic!!
Alan Cummings should have a chance to do it alone
agree
Man... this opening was not it
How times have changed, Harvey Weinstein getting a special mention at the Tonys.
honestly my least favourite opening. NPH will always be the best host!!
First
I really don't find Kristin funny
why couldn't Alan host on his own.
special guests blah blah blah... and josh groban. wooohhh!
*then sings off key notes... #disappointed!
