The layout shared between Takabisha and Shellraiser is genuinely one of my personal favorites. Sure, airtime is virtually nonexistent, but the immediate drop and hangtime out of the station starts the ride out on such a high note. The inversions are just intense enough, and the drop is wonderful. I wish Six Flags would throw something like it into Six Flags New England to replace Flashback and the lot where Goliath stood in Krackaxle Canyon. It would add a launch coaster to the park's lineup, filling one of the few niches it's currently missing, and transform what's currently a middle tier Six Flags park into a remarkably well-rounded destination for enthusiasts.
Eh, Canobie lake is fairly close and already fills the Gerstlauer niche. A mack or intamin launched coaster would be awesome and bring something completely unique to the park.
I'd like to see a launch coaster that focuses on the launch as the strongest element (S&S I'm looking at you). The only launch coaster we have in New England is a Sky Rocket II (Phobia at Lake Compounce). I would definitely not say no to a small Intamin Blitz....
@@notdr.q2415 im thinking something like and upgraded version of skyrocket at kennywood would be a great fit for new England. Even with the amount of well received coasters Gerstlauer has built, I still think that they're underrated, and by that I mean when talking about the best manufacturers, they never seem to get the credit they deserve. If you ask me, they're in the same tier as Mack and Premier, if not B&M. Their rides are almost always at least decent, all the way to elite with Monster, TMNT, etc.
While technically considered as part of the launch coaster model, anubis the ride is basically a clone daredevil dive. The only exception is the launch into the tophat, the remainder of the layout is identical.
I'm hoping that because Glenwood Caverns got Defiance, that my home park Elitch Gardens will get a new roller coaster to compete with Glenwood Caverns.
For one’s typhoon gets a first place in a ranking😂 those over the shoulder restraints are the worst with all its hang time. If it had lap bar only it would be better. But I would not regret it if they replaced it al together with something completely different, a specialty because it’s right next to fury the Gerstlauer infinity with the choice of going front or backwards.
Doesn't Anubis the ride in Belgium count as a eurofighter? It's the except same lay-out as Dare devil dive, but with a launch instead of a lifthill. If someone could explain why it isn't classified as a eurofighter that would be great

Hi Airtime thrills, as always a great and informative video. However, I wonder if you might have been mislead… So let’s begin with Fluch von Novgorod, which is a stunning ride in every respect. The launch is powerful beyond believe, by far Gerstlauer’s best. But what does not make sense to me, is the official height. It says it‘s 40m, bringing it up to rank #2 in your video in terms of height. But I regret to inform you, this does not match my experience. The vertical lift inside the tower is rather small. And that makes sense, because there is just one element and the breaks after it. Might the tower be 40m tall? Probably, but not the coaster. Even after giving it a generous benefit of the doubt and accounting for things like terrain, to me this does not check out. I have also seen some rendering of the lift structure in an older documentary and it was not that mighty. Maybe you could slip into the role of private investigator airtime thrills and shed some light into this mystery? 🕵️♂️
Interesting thought, but the top hat also is not that tall, it’s quite small actually to provide a lot of air time. It’s a little bit of a mystery, but in doubt, I would probably say it’s great marketing because everyone kind of goes with it, but the coaster does not reach that height at all. Would be interested if there is another explanation, of course!
They might not be all the same manufacturer, but have you thought about doing a video putting all the mine train coaster roller coasters against each other? There can't be that many of them to make it unmanageable
i have ridden only two Eurofighter's Falcon at Duinrell and Typhoon at Bobbe, i realized that i'm not a big fan of the model that focuses too much on inversion and positive G's.
