So, I know this video is old but if yur still looking for the answer to your pow block question, I believe you can only dodge it when manual drifting, because you need the hop that you do when you first start to drift. you need to time it right when the POW item takes effect. the right timing will make it useless if your wheels are not on the ground.

It is m'y favourite set, i prefer this one Than the other's Because of the obstacle the jump, I think Mario and Toad IS great for the start and i like the karts.
I just got this and neither my toad or mario can get up the ramp. Toad tries but can't get past the yellow track in between the red tracks. Mario is worse and can't get far. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of what I could try to get it to work. Thanks!
I have 9 Marios and 1 poor Luigi... Hopefully I get 2 more Luigis by the end of the year! I've noticed that whenever a set includes 2 karts, Mario is ALWAYS one of the two. Even if the kit does have one kart, there's a 50% chance that it's Mario. I guess that K'nex feels that if it doesn't have Mario, it's not Mario Kart.

I think honestly to dodge the Pow Block is to jump your kart at the last second when the Block is hit for the 3rd & final time. That help you out?

To avoid the Pow There is no avoidance but to limit the damage to speed shake the WII remote.
