We may think readingtext book will help more, but selective reading is more important here..

Is coaching really necessary to crack the exam....??
If you are focused, have proper timetable and following it consistently, you don't need coaching...
You just need clear basics to crack any exam..
But joining mock test series will be helpful to you..

Read standard textbooks and try to solve mcqs..
Whenever you feel to understand basic anatomy or physiology, go for it. Read them..

I hadn't gone through them..I found pulse better than others...
I believed, lesser the better.

Instead of rank, focus on marks..
If you are getting 70-80% on average, you are doing great...

Our purpose is not just to know new questions, but also to get habituated for exam environment and how to approach it.

Do you prefer to read books or dental pulse is enough.
Use Dental pulse as a starting point and then go for reference books for deeper learning.
We can't read entire book from 1st to last page..

So I need to pick the topic from pulse and then I well use books to learn the same topic in detail.
During solving the questions and reading the explanations, Wherever you feel the need, yes, go for the textbook. Not just that particular paragraph, study images and tables related to that topic too.

I take lot of time to complete one topic , and do it in depth preparation !, That kills my most of the time., And at the end of day only 2-3 topics are covered . What's the solution.
Yes it WILL take time, but if you do it consistently, it's worth it.
You can't complete everything.
65-70% for the first time is ok.
But also don't spend too much time on one topic. Speed is more important than too much depth of knowledge..

It's little difficult to get question papers online, but TH-cam channels like this discuss the paper and is very helpful.
Plus get the latest edition of wadhwan.

Synopsis are important in op and om... Read them properly... Instead of book. Open the book only in case of doubt and learning the concept...

Try to follow minimum books.
Too much sources are one of the reasons for frustration and stress, as we can't grasp everything with that speed..
