Thanks so much for the prompt response Lee. This is so helpful. I will be practicing this all weekend now that the puzzle is complete! Thanks again for your unwavering support and have a blessed day! Larry Brown, USN-Ret.
Mr smooth with it i love it bro thx you very much now don't feel so wrong about using the more progressive chords that I was using all the time this was on the money for me I'll be playing the song this Sunday again thx
Thanks a lot for your video man. God bless you as you bless us with your talent and guitar lessons. Thanks a lot. Please do not hesitate to post videos of your own knowing that you are helping a lot of gospel guitar players like me. Be blessed
any chance you have this song chord charted so our group has something to look at? The crabb family does it in C i believe. I really like the turnarounds you do and the fills are awesome.
Got it down pat pretty much Lee but along the 05:18 you did a two pair chord progression..back towards the neck the same chord but then transitioned to a b flat suspended.. For the life of me could not get it or the fingering ...the name of that chord may help me, thanks in advance, Larry
No Sir I’m sorry. This was experimental years ago. Since I’ve started putting e-courses together. Inside of the e-courses I have a booklet of chords in tab version. www.udemy.com/guitar-lesson-amazing-grace-lee-mims/#curriculum www.udemy.com/gospel-guitar-lesson-thank-you-lord-and-power-lord/?.com& I’m working on so much more... I’m sorry 😐
Thanks! I know I need step by step to learn so I when I try to teach something I assume the worse... Everyone is like me.... LOL.... LOL... Have a gr8 day!!
Willie Martin my trick that I used to do is turn my guitar all the way down and put my ear to the body of the Guitar and find the matching key. If you’re having problems with that there are tuners that allow you to plug in or it will pick up acoustic instruments. Buy one and use it to find the key organ player is in. If it says E as an example it’s up to you to figure out if it’s major or minor. Finally the best thing to do is practice with you’re favorite cds. Play along side of it and find the key that way. Years ago Mississippi Mass Choir (James Moore), John P Kee, Hezekiah Walker, Kirk Franklin and Yolanda Adams were my go to practice cds. Various styles, bpm, and keys. Hope this helps.
I look at life like I look at my favorite, milkshakes.... vanilla is boring... BUT, I really love strawberry milkshakes.... LOL... That's sad... I love food that much.. almost as much as I love music...
+Lee Mims thank you an also I meant, when to go up and down on each chord, and last part, the picking on the jubilee section, thank very much, I'm a beginner.
