Here in New Hampshire we have to make sure our tires stay inside her fenders. Even though most Jeepers don't abide by this law, in order to get a state inspection sticker we either need to put old tires on that fit within the fenders or get Fender extensions. So this is going to be a very cost-effective alternative for me! thank you so much for turning me on to this!

      Hey Ken,
Mine are still in and I haven’t tried to relive them, so I don’t know. If I had to bet on it, I’d think that they wouldn’t be easy to remove. I did a review of this video and showed they are still in pretty good after a number of weeks.

Save yourself some grief later, and get a much better result, use some 3M 4298 Adhesion Promoter Wet Wipes before putting these on. The bond will be MUCH better.

Great item. These just flex out of the way and bounce back into shape when you are on the trails if they come in contact with anything. We are using the 1 inch version of the EZ flares on both our jeeps. Clean the contact surfaces with methylated spirits, we also used half a dozen plastic push rivets on each corner. Also put these on during a warm day or warm up with a hair dryer.

The style of step/running board/rock slider or rail, along with the absence of a front mud flap, has the most impact on how much mud and slush fills your door handles, so results will vary. Notice how much more area, directly behind the wheel, the factory Sahara steps block, compared to the after market rails on the Rubicon. The extensions do make a difference, and definitely take care of those jurisdictional wheel cover concerns. I’d note the Doubleblack are actually fibreglass resin, so should be stronger than hard plastic, but definitely less flexible than foam. Good video sir.

The exact thing I’ve been looking for with no luck for days. I need about 5 inches to cover my tires. Though now that I’ve watched the video while it looks nice I need something sturdier than foam and rubber as I drive 100 miles a day on gravel that is constantly kicked up into my windshield as I deliver mail. My tires are 40 inch high by 17 inch wide. And stick out about 5 inches past the fenders.

I used 2 rolls of 2" on a 2018 JKUR with 35x12.5x17 KM2's and the coverage is good. The plastic rivet idea looks handy. I also used black silicone sealer to help the ends stay attached. It helps with the mud and rock spray. Great episode.
