  • This is not good tutorial video. I just use my cheap phone camera. The purpose of this, i'm trying to revive the RAM DIMM Slots. The problem is it seems that the 1st and 2nd slots cannot be detected. At BIOS it detect all of the slots also detected in Windows 10 64bit but it seems only the 3rd and 4rd slot usable in Windows. I already try all the fix i can find in the internet, nothing works. I saw some videos said that one of the possibility is CPU pin bent or got some corrosion. In my case, i got 1 pin look like corrosion, i try to scratch it. After clean all of this, still the ram not usable. But, my computer is running as usual.

I always looked for a video that showed me taking the cover off the processor slot, you made the complete video from start to finish, thank you and congratulations.

I was as careful as possible, and I got a white cover. I actually wanted to take it and put it into a board that has a black one, which I don't like there. It broke multiple times. I wouldn't try this, finding a replacement socket cover is very very hard.
Edit: However, now that I think about it, it is actually still usable and functions the same.

You have to remove the leaver first then carefully pry the top of the socket out. I did that, its safe too, just dont break anything bc its made of plastic.

it looks you had to remove a broken cpu pin from the socket, right?
So your processor has one pin broken.
You should try another cpu to see if you got 4 dimm working (with dual-channel as well).
Finally cut a small metal, same size and shape of a cpu pin e put it directly to the socket in the position where your has a missing pin.

more than likely you have a dead ram slot and so the other is being disabled by default. Great ASMR video though. look for a severed ram channel.
or like he said below it looks like a pin is missing.
