Again Tyrone , you have done your part to make sure every hunting shot is humane in terms of power and accuracy. Thanks Tyrone. I like this topic. 👍👍☺️
Interesting video... I always use the most accurate, heaviest, best constructed/made pellet/slug/bullets my guns can shoot at the distances I shoot at. Shot placement and energy transfer on live targets is my primary requirement. As a rule I will also not shoot at birds if my only shot is through the wing, unless it is close and I know the combination I am using is able to perform the way I need to do it. Anything less accurate than the best combination I found (and then buy in bulk) will be used for plinking and practise only. My current go-to is all H&N, FTT in .177 and Baracuda 18/Slug HP in .22 (I still need to test the Baracuda 8 in .177 but I have thousands of the same batch FTTs to get through first 😀) It is good to see tests like these though, as sometimes something test worthy appears on the scene.
Hi Kobus, I agree with you 100%, accuracy is always the most important, any other benefits are a bonus. I have tried some FTT but not quite as good as the JSB. My next video is JSB vs FTT vs Hornet, accuracy at 10m
@@African-Budget-Pellet-Gunner and this is why we will be testing forever 😀 I used JSB a lot after quite a bit of testing with their various pellets, then I started finding tins with too many damaged pellets and tested a bunch of different H&N and found them to be more accurate in my guns and quality is excellent, so I 'invested' and bought 1000s of the same batches of each. Before I loved RWS, but it is often difficult to get stock, so I gave up on them.
For feathers I prefer the Hornets. But any decent pointed pellet will do the job as well. Otherwise I stick to domed, hollow point, and some modified hunting pellets like the Hades, Barracuda hunter... depending on the rifle and the distance. One thing is certain. Viewing pellet reviews encourages you to buy if the results are good and you have never owned certain types before. Just like in a candy store. You want it and in time you will have tasted everything. Money makes the world go round.
Nice just received mine today. Just out of interest I read or saw somewhere that these pellet don't like low velocity's. Minimum power would be, I guess, 20-25 Joules or more. I am testing mine tomorrow. with a 35 Joules capable PR900s Gen2.
Im curious how accurate the stormbandit in .177 is with the 7.9g .177 Hornets. I have the lighter ones than you have. Im curious to see what it can do with those..cool video as always!
Thanks so much Jerry, glad you enjoyed the video. I think the lighter weight hornets you have is actually for pistols. I saw on h&n website they have a hornet for pistols and rifles in 177
I been using cross man piranhas for hunting they are like 10 ish grains and they have decent accuracy on my Diana chaser Knock out some pigeons out cold And they are cheaper in the US

Hi KLee, Thanks for your comment. Yip, my first priority is to ensure, if I hunt it is ethical.
Nice video Tyrone, I've enjoyed your CP1 content for sure. Keep 'em coming fella.

@KolaDiver my PR900 also loved the H&N barracuda 15's and my P12 seems to like the JTS 16gr
Top video brother 💪😎 🎯 greetings from Durban South Africa 🤝 👐
Thanks for dropping a comment greetings from icey Gauteng.

The hornets impact and penetration was better than I expected on the tin. I do feel that jsb accuracy was better
H&N Extreme Hunter are really accurate for both my Gamo IGT and PR900 g2.
I think I may have some of them, I will give them a test

Hi Keith, most pellets prefer higher velocities but these weren't too bad with the lower speeds
Thanks for sharing your knowledge brother
Glad it was helpful, Thanks for leaving a comment

I could be wrong, but I don't think that spread would be good enough for rats, what do you think Tyrone?
Probably not if you doing head shots, but if you going for the heart/lung it would be fine. All that said the JSB is more accurate

Cool, I have never seen the piranha available here in South Africa. If they are accurate then by all means use them.
