Reminds me of me with Yakuza 0, although in that case my graphics card is also below the minimum recommended. Depending on how my computer was feeling, playing as Majima while One Eyed Assassin blasts in the background in random battles would result in them loading at the 16 second mark too. I'm actually surprised that the battles AREN'T supposed to pause a bit before the music kicks in, it just feels so natural.
Push me Under Water fits for a setting like Kamurocho really well, it's dark and thrilling, pretty much how it feels like to roam around the streets of Kamurocho. And there's Outlaw's Lullaby, upbeat and thrilling and kinda goofy, works for a place like Sotenbori.
So i have playing kiwami 2 these days and when i unlocked the extreme heat mode, i wait until the song reach this part 0:16 to activate him and damm that's rad
@@retrogamelover2012 Not really. It's Push Me Under Water with slightly different instrumentation. Some of the instruments used are similar to The Myth, but that could apply to a large portion of 4's soundtrack in general.

Which is funny to think about since this is more or less a remake of the original Push Me Under Water from the original Yakuza 2. The Myth from Y4 is basically a remix _of_ Push Me Under Water, lmao.

Press B/Circle to grab. In a grab, press LB/L1 to reverse your hold, mash X/Square to beat the enemy up, press Y/Triangle to deliver a powerful punch to the face, and press B/Circle to throw the enemy. Kiryu spins the enemy around when throwing, so it's useful for crowd control. Press A/X to quickstep and dodge attacks, hold RB/R2 to lock onto an enemy, and hold LB/L2 to block. Note that only frontal attacks can be blocked, and you can't block Knives or Guns without a weapon equipped. Watch the red meter in the top left. That's Kiryu's health. Each hit taken by an enemy decreases it, and if it's completely empty, Kiryu will die, and the game will end. The blue meter is Kiryu's heat meter. Each hit landed on or blocked from an enemy increases it, but each hit TAKEN by an enemy decreases it. When you have at least one bar full, press Y/Triangle when the 🔥 icon appears to perform a powerful heat move. If you don't want to perform a heat action, hold down LT/L2 to prevent the icon from appearing. There's more later on, but I'll get to it when it's relevant.
playing this after leveling up makes it end before the beat drops. it's a great track, but it just takes too long to get going because each battle is a dynamic intro rather than the intro styles the original Yakuza 2 had.
I can't be the only person who finds something about this song lacking compared to the original, I have no idea what it is but something about this version just doesn't hit the same
@@Chocmann those and the bongo/percussion beat at the beginning. It's also got a somewhat different melody similar to how Ideal For Violence changed the melody from Intelligence For Violence, but it's enough subtle changes to make it feel inferior
The drums don't sound as good to me, they're too tinny and synthetic sounding which takes a lot away from the song. The original Yakuza 1 and 2's soundtrack sounded so much more aggressive and bass heavy with real instruments which I felt was way better.
Yeah, I played YK2 first and I hated this song compared to Outlaw, but when I played Yakuza 2 I feel in love with the original version, hell I think I like it even more than Outlaws lullaby, that was actually the case with many of the other songs they remixed, and I was also dissapointed to see they even cut out some really good ones too like Evil itself
Nah man this is way better than outlaw's lullaby. It felt like i listened to it too much after a few hours in sotenbori. This one makes me feel way more like a badass, especially those heavy basslines.

Tbh at first i didn't like this song especially after hearing outlaws lullaby but it grew on me
Outlaws Lullaby is explosive brass band orchestra and fits Sotenbori like a glove. Most street fights in this game are over once this one begins.

This is reminiscent of "The Myth" from Yakuza 4, AKA Kiryu's street fight theme.
This is a remix of the Kamurocho street brawl theme of the same name from Ryu ga Gotoku 2.
