Now I was able to understand and test the BOBF /SCMTMS/SUPPFREIGHTINVREQ in the BOBT transaction.
Now I'm trying to fetch the same data in my ABAP program.
Come on!
I tested the same STANDARD object in the BOBT transaction in another environment and I couldn't fetch the data.
And the record is there in the corresponding table with the key I want.
Maybe some validation. But for a document flow simple object? Couldnt be...
I found out why I can't fetch the data. Profile authorization. :). But you don't have any information about it. No message other than "No data found"

Hi, What is the use of Transient structure? I can read the fields of Transient Data via query, and I can modify as well. But I cannot see the data in DB table. Where does it store? The DB table contains the fields only from Persistent Str.

But it didn't work in my program. Using SAP standard BOPF objects to fetch data can be quite difficult, at least for me :)
I tried to use your same program example to fetch data from the standard object /SCMTMS/SUPPFREIGHTINVREQ.
I am using constants corresponding to the /SCMTMS/IF_SUPPFREIGHTINVREQ_C interface.
I found out why I couldn't fetch the data. Profile authorization. :). But eo_message output parameter give me no messages about it, no messages at all. Standard BOPF object has its problems...

At the beginning of the video 0:10 it is said that BOPF might not be needed in S4 Hana ? Is that really true ?
We need to understand that BOPF helps to create App with Edit capability. Same can now be achieved with RESTful Application Programming.. So gradually, ABAP RAP might take over.. But it may not be that soon than thought of.. Just like ABAP, BOPF might survive the rough days. :)
