So he was fined $100k for throwing the heating pack, where's the fine for the towel throw and making the money sign at the refs? Maybe Gobert should get his 100k back?
Yes!!!
That was my thought.
Mike Malone stormed the court and got in the ref face screaming his head off. Didn’t even get a tech….
…..but Edwards got a tech for a stare down in Game 1.
Right cause Rudy got that just for the gesture smh
The 100K is for the towel and heating pack, nba definitely missed the money gesture he did to the ref.. Rudy was fined 100K for that alone
After how bad he played and how mad he got in Game 2, the league decided that NOT suspending and forcing him to play Game 3 in front of that Minnesota crowd is the real punishment 😂
Maybe hand out souvenir heating packs to the fans who will be in attendance??
@@ElJefe0719 Nah Wolves org is more classy than that. Just humiliate them on the court again, and the fans will boo for Murray a lot. The Wolves will give the fans ample opportunities to scream Denver back to the hotel.
@@ksecpt this works too 👍
Minnesota should hand out heating packs to fans to troll Murray.
Jamal Murray’s $100k fine sure sparked some debate! It’s surprising the NBA didn’t suspend him for that Game 2 incident. GreenHatAI picked up on this tension, and it’s clear emotions are running high as the playoffs heat up.
Rudy got fined 100k just for making the money gesture. Thats crazy.
He did it to an official as well. Should’ve been another 100K fine . Him dodging suspension for throwing shii on the court twice and once at the ref is beyond me
Which Murray also did plus throwing 2 things at the official
MF literally did this as well in the same game. When Rudy did ts it was a fine and a technical foul
He got fined nothing for bringing COVID to the NBA
You can't suspend Murray during the playoffs. This is too big of a series to be suspending people, the refs were working against the Nuggets and he lost his cool. No big deal.
If the Nuggets were up 2-0, you know he would have been suspended.
No. If someone got hurt, he would've
I'm glad he didn't get suspended. Twolves are basically playing 5 on 4 with him in lineup.
@@jvarn605 Yeah only cuz he hurt lol
If he was a bench player, it would be a no brainer.
@@TimothyStewart-rf6qpI'm not so sure he would have been suspended if someone got hurt at this point.
They fined him the same amount that they fined Rudy Gobert when he made the money sign at the ref (which Jamal Murray ALSO did on Monday). Favoritism like this is insane
HE SHOULD BE SUSPENDED! Due to the fact he had three instances, Rudy got fined 100k for doing the money sign towards the ref… Jamal did that AND THREW things at the ref… TWICE. They are blatantly bending rules and it’s frustrating to see. ANT got a tech last game for LOOKING at Reggie Jackson saying no words …. The league needs to get it TOGETHER
Not being suspended is crazy
So was Embiid
If the Nuggets get swept or gentleman swepted after this then this will be a permanent blemish because of their immaturity GM 2. Glad he’s not though so there will be no excuses if/when Nuggets lose.
It is his first offense
@@piotrswat169 Not the same thing, what Jamal did was unprecedented
no harm no foul
So Jamal got the same fine amount for all the things he did and it was equal to Gobert just doing the money sign? 😂😂😂 ADAM SILVER IS WEAK
Right and Jamal literally did the money sign too on top of all of that. He also did double-pistol too with the thrown towel and thrown heat pack one after another in a live game. Each of those things are worth their own technicals, fines, and suspensions separately, if other players do them at least.
It is crazy that the NBA didn't suspend Jamal Murray for at least one game, because what he did was very dangerous and could've seriously hurt somebody out there on the court.
Yup and everyone keeps saying so what he didn’t get hurt so it’s okay . No it’s not okay because now players know if they throw items on the court it’s not a big deal
No blood no foul
no harm no foul
@@Maxjuliann I mean unless you can afford 100k I don’t think just anyone would do that 😂
@@minjikim2161wolves in 4
i’m so confused how rudy gets fined 100K for the money gesture. but jamal does it + the throwing objects 2x is 100K as well 🤔
Rudy don't get no respect!
And refs.
Yeah especially in the playoffs. When they do the money sign at the refs they’re basically saying the refs are being paid to throw the game, and you’d think that would be even worse to do in the playoffs. Not to mention of course throwing both a towel and a heating pad at the refs.
so unfair
a small bit of info. This is the last year on Murray's 5 year contract he signed in 2019. He's trying to get the bag....but the wolves are locking him up.......pretty sure NBA considered this as well. Likely, if murray continues to perform the way he has so far.....he's gonna find it really difficult to find a team willing to pay him star money and that's completely ignoring the character flaw of him loosing his composure and throwing things at an official and onto the court during play
They just gave everyone a reason to root for Minnesota
Seriously. Neutral fan here, will absolutely root against the Nuggets now
@@Luchopapa16Target Center bout to be rocking on Friday
@@Luchopapa16 I was actually rooting for Denver, but now, I'm cheering for the wolves. I wanna see Minnesota win and I can't WAIT to see how they play either OKC or Dallas. We could get defense vs defense with OKC or defense vs offense if Dallas beats OKC.
It's unbelievable to me that anyone can throw multiple things out on the court and not get suspended. This is another example that quite frankly, the NBA wants Denver to win this series. The fact that Anthony Edwards received a technical foul for a stare down. And now in game 2 the Coach SCREAMS face to face with the ref and doesn't get ejected or even a technical foul? And then a player throws not one, but two items on the floor and again there is no technical, no ejection, and now no suspension. All of these calls and lack thereof are in favor of one team, the same team, the Denver Nuggets.
If a fan threw something out on the court they are kicked out and lose their season tickets, sometimes lose the ability to ever go to a game again in that arena. The heating pack nearly made its way under Towns' foot and could have caused a serious injury. The NBA is an absolute joke of a league, more rigged than any other sport on the planet.
Super FACTS
How is that not a suspension?? He does it twice!
no harm no foul

Wow.....straight favoritism!
.3% of his salary. That’ll really show him!! What a joke.

@@ry_an.No. He’s making 33 million per year…. It’s more like a normal person paying a $100 fine/ticket. It’s annoying and inconvenient, but you’ll forget about it.
I think a lot of people are downplaying just how dangerous that heating pack really is. That thing came within inches of KAT stepping on it with his leg fresh off of surgery. Maybe it’s just cause I’m a Wolves fan, but reckless decisions like that should have bigger repercussions than making money signs.
You make a great point thank God that didn’t happen
Dangerous precedent, Should be suspended next season, 10 games, no pay, and any other incident by him, a 1 yr suspension. Terrible!
Replace Adam Silver as the NBA commissioner already. For f'cks sake.
He doesn't work for you. The 30 owners are very happy with his performance as commissioner
wow…no suspension…just wow
He deserved harsher punishment than that. The officiating in the post season is just ridiculous
It's great - let them boys play
harsh punishment will come. He's in contract year. Tell me honestly which team will want him after this showing?
Playoff suspensions are lame. But if you are going to suspend someone for getting thrown to the ground and stepped over so you can help the other team....
Jamal did 3 things: throw something on the court, throw something at the ref, AND threw up the money sign. 100k was given for one of those offenses with Rudy.
Super FACTS...only person exposing it!
Right totally unfair
It’s about ratings. If they suspend Murray, Denver loses the series and ratings drop.

He threw two things and one at a referee. He insinuated that the refs were on the take. His coach walked on the court and got in the face of an official. The level of disrespect is on an all time high. Denver is being treated differently than any other team. He needed to suspended for an aggressive act against an official.
Goes to show the NBA is stricter towards people who actually hurt their brand (Ja) than those who actually hurt (try) other people like Jamal. A 100,000usd fine isnt going to hurt Jamal in any way shape or form.
I guess it really is all about the benjamins.
JA should have been suspended longer. He's done anyway. Peaked in year 2 or3.
At least now we have confirmation that NBA actually stands for No Backbone Association if you’re a star player
You got that right
Let’s not forget that Draymond got suspended against Cleveland and it significantly altered the finals. Bron was gifted a championship and made history coming from 3-1. We all know if Draymond didn’t get suspended that was a 4-1 Warrior Championship. This situation could’ve been career ending if say KAT slipped on it while putting back the layup, or even one of his own teammates. He was reckless enough that he could’ve injured his own teammates. This is a slap on the wrist.
This decision shows the complete bias and corruption behind whoever is making these decisions. These people have too much money involved to NOT fix games 🤣
Total corruption. NBA cares 0% about protecting players
I think a lot of Timberwolves fans want Murray to play. It's not like they're struggling to win him on the floor.
If the Nuggets somehow come back in this series and wins it this conversation is coming back to this conversation

The fact is the NBA didn't want to end the Nuggets defense of thier Championship on a suspension. But what's more amazing is the NBA fined him less than 1% of his salary, 0.003%. WOW.
If it wasn't Jamal or another star player, it would be a suspension
This is a joke. Murray should’ve been suspended, because if fans had done that they would be escorted from the arena & given a 1-2 year or lifetime ban
All true
The NBA have set a stupid precedent cos when someone does the exact same thing in future and it if actually hurts someone, then they can’t give suspension for it bc that guy is going to turn around and say you didn’t suspend Jamal Murray
How & WHY did he not get suspended? What if he injured somebody? So because nobody got hurt, he only gets a fine? Imagine if someone DID slip on it. Just make him pay 200k instead right? Absolute joke.

*Penny* *Hardaway*
So I’ve been aware that Michael Cooper is entering the Hall of Fame this year and he was nominated for a really long time. It got me thinking? Why not Anfernee Deon “Penny” Hardaway? He was nominated to the HoF for the first time next to the recently deceased Walter Davis whom Michael Jordan idolized as a kid.
The reason why I believe Penny Hardaway should be in the Hall of Fame is because Tracy McGrady got in there and as a first year ballot! Penny showed class to show up to Shaq’s Orlando Magic jersey retirement. Shaq ditched Penny for LA. I like how they’re still cool while MJ and Scottie won 6 rings and can no longer be in the same events together.
Tracy McGrady
7x All-Star
2x All-NBA First Team
3x All-NBA Second Team
2x All-NBA Third Team
2x scoring champion
Most Improved Player
Penny Hardaway
4x All-Star
2x All-NBA First Team
1x All-NBA Third Team
All-Rookie First Team
I know Penny only had 4 good years starting with his rookie year until his injury in 1997. But he did make the Finals by his 2nd year. T-Mac couldn’t get out of the First Round for years. Then didn’t make it passed the Semis until he got to Houston. Made the Finals with the Spurs in 2013 as one of the last guys coming off the bench. Michael Cooper won 1 DPOY, 5 rings, but was never an all-star and averaged 8.9 PPG in his career.
Vlade Divac is in the HoF. Toni Kukoc was an all-star once and he’s in the HoF. Penny is better than them both when all were at their peak. Chris Webber is in the HoF. I believe Penny Hardaway will eventually get in there. More people will realize he deserves it and also look at his NCAA coaching contributions. Penny will have Shaq as his HoF presenter.
Pat4Clippers 🦗 you resort to typing these lame essays when your predictions are wrong 🤣
You get to see the true character of a person when things are not going their way
the most shameful aspect of this punishment is the nba did not have their Ref's back. a player throws two things at a ref and gets basically a slap on the wrist.
Jamal you really have a strain calf now 🥶🥶
The commissioner is so soft it’s ridiculous and laughable. But that’s the guy they want running the league and why players run rampant doing whatever they want. 🤷
We need a new commissioner the nba really sucks now 😢
That punishment is so inconsistent. Gobert got the same 100k just for the money sign. Jamal did money sign, threw a towel, and threw a heating pad.
1:23 that 2016 Spurs team with Duncan, Kawhi and LaMarcus Aldridge was no joke. They won a franchise record 67 games the same year Golden State had their 73 win season.
Jamal has lived long enough to see himself become the villain. Dude went from being celebrated for being clutch to being 🤡'd on. The difference a couple of days can make. 😂
He messed up once lmao but he shouldve been suspended but it’s the playoffs if he not out there who watching n when did anybody look at him as a villain lmao he robin to jokic Batman he Donovan Mitchell without joker
Rudy Gobert got the same fine ($100K) for flashing a money sign in March. Murray threw stuff on the court and gave the sign! Should have been a quarter mil.
Money gesture (Gilbert got 100k for that alone), Towel toss and heat pad toss AT THE REF.
Murray girl gave Adam that goodie
The essence of the old nba finds its way back, it will not die, that is, hard defense. As I’m watching this, I can’t help but think Boston would not (will not) be able to handle T-wolves’ defense. It is too suffocating. And it proves that what we need is true old school ball. The softness of the league and the regularity of teams scoring 120-140 leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Plus it taints the accomplishments of those who would score 35-40 with hand checking and a big being able to sit in the paint all game!
Draymond saying he doesn’t believe it should be a suspension is null and void because if Draymond threw that heating pad they’d fine him $500k and suspended him the next game maybe even 2 games…
Weren't people saying the Cav's played better without Mitchell?
Those Wolves Bites are getting under Murray's skin 😂
It was intentional
Bro feeling devious
Its mind blowing how much talent is in the league
Hopefully this situation can help people learn empathy for superstars who sit out to heal.
They didn't suspend him because the world would bet their life money all on the wolves and all betting places would go bankruptcy
Adam Silver is soft on the players. David Stern would've definitely suspended Murrey with no hesitation.
Defending the decision by saying there needs to be a show on Friday is absolutely disgusting. Actions need to be punished. This is a horrible precedent. Wouldnt be surprised if more things get thrown at the refs now that everyone knows its ok.
After Embiid got to pull Robinson down and nothing happened, the precedent was set.
This fine was like a lil warnin tap that you get from your teacher like hey don’t do that no more
So the message the league and the commissioner is sending is. You can act a fool and break the rules as long as the game and you are important enough.
Exactly....SAD!!!
I think the real punishment is what he’s gonna have to experience in Game 3 and Game 4 in Minneapolis, that’s why I don’t think they suspended him.
When did Derrick White become Derrick Jordan? 🤔
He’s been incredible!!! 💯
@13:19 whats MPJ doing in the paint watching the play? That's why they will get swept by the wolves. If the exactly same play happened on the other end all those 3 guys in the paint would be swarming Jokic or anyone else that had the ball.
Is anyone besides me going to check Tim Legler for the moosed up surf haircut?? 😂😂😂slow down old man you can only be 21 once lol
Meanwhile everyone has already forgotten about Pat Bev's antics.
He's another ATROCIOUS character in the "Draymond Green mode" who needs to be made a " lesson" via heavy fine( loss of income) and a LENGTHY career suspension.
No the league hasn’t acted but the authorities are involved.
Explain to me what’s different than Beverly throwing the ball in the stands twice(once soft and seconds time harder) and Murray throwing a towel almost on court and then throwing a heating pack harder to make it on the court. Both had potential to seriously harm.
Officials be using their power against those players
There needs to be context. It’s not always the players
They want the series to go longer for more money. It's obvious. Only explanation why he not only didn't get a suspension but also got fined the same as Gobert for doing a lot more.
Jamal gets suspended and Nuggets don't have a chance and go down 0-3. The NBA couldn't be anymore obvious at this point that the rules are not equal.
The NBA suspended Kyrie for a Twitter post….let that sit.
The basketball Gods are watching. No one gets a pass. Timberwolves in 5.
LOOK! Steve A! S.G.A not only stuck out his foot, he purposely LIFTED his foot to create contact with Luka! In turn an injury derails Luka's performance throughout the rest of the evening. 😢
Steve if you're still able to contact the Association please do. Only on the pretense of bringing it to their attention. It's so obvious and the result of the offensive foul could dictate the outcome of the series.
Honestly it warrants some type of action against S.G.A.
I know everyone is seeing this, but no one is saying it. Maybe because it wasn't caught "called " in the game.
Bring this to the light, before he does it again and again to the whole league.

The takeaway: If you can afford it, throw whatever you want on the court. Precedent set.
The NBA is odd right now. They hand out technicals for the slightest sign of rudeness and then barely punish anyone for throwing things, marching onto the court to scream at the ref, or tossing people around. Make it make sense.
16:39 No suspension? Come see what happens on Friday, see what the fans have to say! Target Center will be the loudest place in the world Friday night
He should've been suspended 2 games in the next season as well. Someone could've gotten injured on the court. And the fine should've been higher
I'm glad Jamal Murray was fined not suspended. I want him to be there on the floor and feel it when the Nuggets get swept. Lakers fan here😂😂
I’m with Legler-glad both teams are healthy for the entertainment value, but I have absolutely no idea what justification for no suspension would be. If I’m a team now, I absolutely am considering throwing something on the floor to impact a game if the opportunity presents itself.
