I live in Africa and my favorite team in the PAC 12 is UCLA but the moment he got hired at ASU , the Sun Devils became my other favorite team...I loved his passion at the press conference and I have watched footage of how he teaches and I was mystified as to why people at ASU were lukewarm on him ...Good luck to your Sun Devils for the rest of the year

@@mallsanta4436 First of all no one represents the conference better than KW. Of course you would mention him and a coach that has coached for 2 games. David Shaw is one of the best coaches in all of football. But there is a huge list for the rest of the conference. I could mention what Shaw has done but if you coach forever and have more ups than downs then it's a mute point. Leach, Coach Pete, Helton, any UCLA coach, Sumlin have done horrible representing the conference. The only good ones are the 2 you named who have done their part. I would stop there but I'll make this post longer. I consider embarrassing the conference as losing to non conference teams that you should win or are favored to win. Recent example of Oregon State losing to OSU is not embarrassing because they lost to a better team. Ariz losing to Houston and BYU last year is embarrassing the conference. Also losing to non power 5 teams which is Leach's favorite thing to do. Regular season upsets that happen more than once while being a ranked team and BCS/playoff team is embarrassing. Then of course bowl, losing in bowl season matters
Jay Price PAC suffered last yr from having too much parity. 9 bowl teams and 11 with 5+ wins will results in a lot of pac teams having to play better opponents in bowls
@@tiger5600 I definitely feel you on that but 1-8 is not okay. The conference has only done that bad 1 other time. It's no coincidence that KW was the only one to win to prevent us from being shut out. He should be the one at USC so at least the conference can compete for championships.
Earlier I knocked coach Pete but his only bad coaching move so far is that he has to understand that in order to beat other powerhouses, you need big strong QBs and RBs. You can't have little 5'7 runnjng backs and 5'10 QBs. If you do it literally better be russell Wilson and MJD or else he has to change that
At 2:35, there is a guy third from the left. As the camera begins to pan across the fans, everyone celebrates an interception! But this guy, for some reason, snaps his head forward and at a 90 degree angle. His glasses fly off of his head, and his reaction is fantastic. From joy to panic instantly. Hahaha

The ASU defense had the right calls on putting pressure with at least 1 defender free rushing. Just didn't get there on the Spartans big plays. But It's only the beginning..

What does that have to do with asu
MSU wasn’t overrated they just got beat because they were outside their comfort zone, in no way is that an excuse but ASU being slept on, MSUs injuries, and playing in the 100 degree heat all had major reasons for the loss. And since it was a 3 point loss on a last second field goal I expect MSU gets ranked around 18-22 while ASU cracks the top 25. MSU will get to normal, it seems they always struggle with teams they’re supposed to beat but beat the teams they’re supposed to lose to

Good for them! This demonstrates how powerful motivation and leadership is when you have a group of young men coming together to achieve a common goal. This is how outnumbered military units have won stunning battles with the right leader over the centuries. Football is the closest modern day equivalent to that and it’s inspiring to see.
ASU is not going to make the playoff or anything this year, but these types of big wins set a tone for the future and if the recruits start rolling in, the Sun Devils could be a force in the PAC-12 in the next couple of years. Great job guys!

Congrats ASU. I was pulling for MSU since I'm Big Ten guy. But ASU deserved this win. I believe this win has already sealed the tone for their season. They'll finish out the season in good fashion and head to a major bowl game. It's been a long time coming for ASU. And for you others, stop with the MSU is not a top 15 or even a top 25 team talk. They just played a better team last night.

I'm happy for Herm. There were so many people hating on him when he announced he was getting back into coaching.
It's funny how some of you *MF's* are on Herm Edwards nuts now, probably called him names that you wouldn't say to his face.
*Relax* don't get happy for one win although it's your *best win in 200 years* .
Make sure you stay on the bandwagon *when they start losing also* .
Typical Mich. State fans thinking that the slow start last week against Utah St. wasn't an issue, and they'll easily turn it around against Arizona St. Not accepting the fact that Utah St. was a Division 2 team, that finished 6-7 last year. The last time they struggled against a Division 2 team to open the season was against Furman in 2016, when they finished the season at 3-9. Most fans that called into Detroit's local sports talk radio 97.1 The Ticket, talked about how State always starts off the season slow. Just about everyone believed the penalties, o-line, defensive, and run game issues were just off season rust. They preached that they'll be fine and easily turn it around against Arizona St. Well that wasn't the case, the same issues resurfaced. The gave up too many sacks, the o-line struggled, they couldn't run the ball. They committed to many penalties, and gave up a pass interference that cost um the game.. They weren't able to get stops in crucial moments, nor come up with first downs when it mattered the most. They were sacked twice on there final drive when Arizona St. tied the game late in the 4th, and were forced to punt with a little over 4 minutes to play. They did hold Arizona to 45 yards rushing but, gave up crucial run plays during Arizona's winning drive. Arizona marched down the field, and was rewarded a first down on a defensive pass interference penalty on 3rd and long at there 43 yd line. They were able to get a first down on 3rd and 5 at the 10 yard line allowing them to run the clock down to 3 seconds, and kick a game winning field goal. Michigan St. lost quite a few key players to injuries, and should be a little worried going into the bye week.
Utah State isn't Division 2 bud. They're an FBS team in the Mountain West. They're Division 1 just like MSU.
Also the bye week came at a perfect time, they now can nurse injuries and can work on discipline to reduce penalties. And just remember everything you brought up as an excuse is easily fixable if UofM lost in the same circumstances they would say they would’ve won and use penalties as an excuse and felt just as confident. I’m not worried at all by the last 2 games.

Mark Dantonio since choosing to lose 38-0 in the 2016 College Football Playoff : 27-24 overall and 17-19 in B1G play. His 2016,18 and 19 teams were utterly pathetic and trotted out literally, some of the worst offences in modern B1G history. I have no idea why he decided to end his career so poorly.
Way too early to call for a 1996 type of season for Sparky, but much like the Sun Devil's upset of Nebraska 19-0 that year, this should give them great momentum heading into PAC 12 South play.
