G26 would be my last glock to sell simply because it hardly prints when carrying and is A great edc pistol. The main thing I like about the 26 is it can take A 10 round magazine and all the way up to the 33 round fun stick. Or even if so desired A drum mag. Also I have had an FFL for the last 26 years.

Glock 26 gen 5. Choosing it over my 19, 19x, 23, and 43x. Mainly because it shoots better than any micro (flat shooting and lightning fast follow up shots), and prints less. Built like a tank. Shoots like a full size. With proper grip mechanics and time on Glocks, the flush mag is very easy to shoot. I bought all the extensions, and have come back full circle to the flush mags. You can make the 26 bigger, but can’t make the full size Glocks smaller. There are grandmaster shooters that shoot w/ a Glock 26.

All glocks run flawlessly until the users start replacing parts. Use it for what it is, a duty gun meant to fire every time the trigger is pulled. I’ve used one for the last 17 years of my career. We started with a G22, then a G17 and have recently gone with the G45. No complaints

Coincidentally enough, I just let my G48 go. It's the only Glock I've ever let go. The G48 for me was my first Glock but it sat in a weird place as it was too big for EDC imo (G43 and G26), and it doesnt share mags like other 9mm Glocks like the G19 and G19x. I can just leave double stack mags in the car for the range and take any double stack Glock versus the G48 having it's own mags. The only 15 round mags for the G48 are aftermarket, Glock mags being only 10 rounds. G48 weighs almost as much as the G19 but it's much snappier

There really is no diversity amongst the G48 other than it being bigger than the most popular conceal carry Glocks (26,43x) and that just turns me away from the gun. I really like my Glock 42. Perfect size/weight to throw into a kydex pocket holster to have something on me around the house, walking the dog at night, and just a joy to shoot. It’s definitely the lightest perceived recoil defensive handgun I’ve ever shot. I don’t get it to the range as often as I take my G48 or bigger 9s, and every time I do it’s a good time. I have to disagree about the 23. It was my duty gun, so I was always comfortable shooting it. I bought my own after I retired, and carry it on cold winter days when everybody's wearing heavy clothing. In those conditions, I think it still offers an advantage over 9mm.

My duty weapon up until retirement was a G22 gen4. Unfortunately, a texting driver changed my life forever. I could no longer retract the slide on my G22. I recently replaced it with a brand new G17 gen3, and the single recoil spring enables to retract the slide. The only advantage the 9mm has over the 40 is the cost of ammo, and I believe that is the main reason for the change over in calibers.

I'll never sell my G19X/$179 Dagger SW4 Complete Upper Beast!
Fits like a 1911, zero wiggle between the upper & lower, she's snug, an OW Precision TAC Trigger, 3lb connector, Polished, threaded barrel, suppressor sights, G-Sap Gap Adapter, Master Trigger Spring Kit, 15lb Recoil spring, HE407c x2 Green 2moa dot.
2.7lb short pull w/ a forced short reset.
Now I have 2 slides. Stock open sights & the Dagger GatorMouth Cut Complete Upper.
I was having failure to eject issues but the 15lb recoil spring fixed that!
The 17lb recoil spring was kind of flopping the spent rounds out & it was slow.
The 15lb is perfect for those looking to do this, just swap out backplates. Gen 4-5 Dagger Uppers will fit.
My #1 carry gun everywhere I go in Texas.

Buffalo Bore 40S&W p+ hunting rounds are a great option in bear country. To each their own. I do agree if someone only has money to buy 1 Glock, I would definitely recommend the Glock 19. You can't go wrong with the 19, a bit heavy for EDC, and superb for home defense. Would I make 9mm a woods gun??? Probably not. I'll stick to 40S&W p+ hunting ammo. Not for nothing, but I don't see any of those hundreds of thousands of rounds endurance reports anymore, like with the Gen 2 and Gen 3 Glocks. Good morning. That was a very insightful video. I agree with your choice of the G19 Gen 5. I own one as well. I also own a Glock 23 Gen 5 MOS. I saw that you are not a fan of the .40 S&W but I absolutely love my G23. I moved to the G23 as my EDC. I gladly gave up the two additional rounds that the G19 gave me to have the additional power of the .40 caliber round. I know what people say about the advanced ballistics of the 9mm but the .40 is comparable to a .45 ACP as far as muzzle energy and you get almost twice the capacity of the average 1911 in 45 ACP. I don’t know if you have ever fired the Gen 5 version of the G23, but it has a thicker and heavier slide than the previous version. This reduces felt recoil quite a bit. I find the recoil of the G23 Gen 5 only slightly more intense than the G19. However, the G23 is quite a bit heavier. It took me a while to get used to the extra weight. Of course the ammunition is heavier as well. Finding a good holster that is optics compatible has been next to impossible. Ordinarily, I would still say that my G19 is the last gun I would sell, but I am torn. The G19 was a gift from my wife, but the G23 has a serial number that matches my child’s birthday. I guess my choice would still he the G19 though.

The only Glock I've ever owned, was G48. I recently sold it because I never carried it after I got a shield plus... then I studied ballistics and talked to multiple trauma center medical professionals in my area, and they pretty much agreed that 9mm is not an effective stopping round. Based on their experience, guys who came in shot up with 9 mm were generally running their mouths about retribution against the guys that shot them... guys shit by 45 ACP, generally were unconscious from blood loss or were already DOA.
I got very similar feedback from most trauma center professionals... one surgeon is quoted by Sgt 1911, as stating "rarely have I lost a patient to 9 mm, and I've only saved one from 45 ACP".

At the other end of the spectrum, my nephew was shot in the chest with a .22 LR at point blank range and died before the ambulance arrived. I'm not doubting the 45 is a more capable round, but even a BB gun can be lethal in the right (or wrong) hands.

    • @762x69

Did these professionals all quote that the point of impact occurred high center chest or the head for 9mm?
The results of gangbangers getting shot (which is quite often) can also vary on the ammo which is also likely to be FMJ and not proper defensive ammo. There's a lot of omitting details here to make this definitive. Even the Feds put a ballistic report that +p+ 9mm can hang with 45acp. Plus it's hard to say that departments issuing 9mm would be ecstatic to all of a sudden find out all of their shooting incidents for survivability meant retribution...sounds more like gang activities.

@@762x69 coming from a law enforcement background, I can tell you that government spending is the primary consideration... 9 mm is the chosen round, because it is cheaper than 40 S&W. FBI statistics don't impress me.
The reason 45 ACP was selected originally was because those conducting the testing, discovered that a 45 caliber slug, was capable of putting down a live steer with one shot, amongst other damage testing. Sgt York put down 6 German soldiers who were attacking him with one shot each from his 1911... no such stories from history, involving 9 mm. If you need a weak round to shoot accurately, then 9 mm is better than most... but it is not an effective round, until you fire it from a 16 inch barrel... then it has the same ballistics as the king of one shot stops, 357 magnum... otherwise it is an adequate round, if well placed, but generally not very effective for terminal damage.

The Glock 23.3 is the overall most versatile "keeper" of all Glocks, IMO. A simple grip reduction eliminates the finger grooves. From there, it can quickly convert to either 9mm or 357 Sig. All 40 cal Glocks have that capability. 3 guns in one. The 40 cal magazine works perfectly for 357 Sig. For the 9mm conversion, we have to use 9mm mags. The conversion barrels are easy to find, and not too expensive, considering the versatility we get. G23 is the keeper in this book.

I liked the M27 from the start and spent a lot of time back then switching back and forth between the .40 and a .357 sig M33 factory barrel, but since those days ammunition sky rocked and 9mm is plentiful and cheap so after I was finally able to finally win the right to concealed carry battle in Maryland and obtain my CCW I converted the M27 to a M26 using a Glock store Double Diamond 9mm conversion barrel & standard M26 mags and I have been amazingly more accurate with it than my M19. I recently thought that after shooting 1000's of 9mm rounds through my M19 maybe it's time to replace & upgrade it with a standard Double Diamond 9mm barrel too, but since having rotator cuff surgery recently I haven't been able to do an accuracy comparison between them, maybe sometime in 2024.

Don’t get me wrong I love the 29 and with pearce grip extension I can basically get a full grip but still I am a lot faster and just have more fun with the 20 over the 29. get the 29 first and then get the 20 lol just get both and then some underwood ammo. Obviously all my opinion but the Glock 20 is a blast to shoot no pun intended and any of my friends that have shot it were surprised at just how comfortable it felt in the hand and how easy it was to shoot. Can’t go wrong with either

I have a G19.3, a G45, G21.4, two G42s and a G43X. My 43X is my EDC and is exactly what I want in a carry pistol. I do use a G42 with a pocket holster for just going out to walk dogs or whatever but my primary is the 43X (with S15 mags, I know, I don't care)

I like the 43x a lot as well fits nicely in my hand. I like my 19 but it's a little large for everyday carry.
