For me as IT grad. In terms of computer related nasa IT course ang package such as programming (different types of ProLa), web designing/developing, networking, desktop troubleshooting, graphic designing, machine/robot language. All of these skills napag-aaralan sa course kaya ang hirap din pumili ng career kung saan mas fit pero may kan'ya-kaniya tayong forte in terms of skills. Kailangan may specialization na master or kahit komportableng kayang gawin. Mas maganda kung lahat ng skills na 'yan may knowledge kahit 'di kagalingan basta alam lang kung paano ginagawa, flexible kung baga. May mga bagay tayong kayang gawin na hindi kaya ng iba at may bagay tayong 'di natin kayang gawin pero sobrang dali para sa iba. Maraming salamat po Idol Lou! Asan po ang mas maganda sa tatlong cguro computer engineering Kasi combination sa computer science at information technology, pero kung mag choose ka sa computer science at information technology. Asan ang mas pinaka okay oagdating sa knowledge.
I've always thought IT is the specific course, I didn't know that there is 3. I'm an 11th grade stem student and I've already planned on taking IT since I was on 9th grade. I've watched the whole video and I'm intrigued on taking computer science or computer engineering. Computer science seems interesting but computer engineering seems like the most balanced course to take, I guess I will just wait and let my future self decide XD. Thank you for the explanation! 3 naman talaga at Specific Course ang IT. Sa maikli 3 Specific Course lahat yan. Ang IT kasi ay College of Information, ang CS ay College Of Science (CS din lol), at ang Computer Engineering naman ay COE (College Of Engineering). Computer Engineering medyo ekis sa panahon ngayon daw. Parang Obsolete. Kung same lang naman landing mo sa trabaho like IT sayang ung extra 1 year (Engineering so 5 years yan), Dat nag IT ka nalang loool. Ung IT safe choice kasi may basics naman sya sa programming (from CS) at Hardware/Computers (From CE). CS ang pinaka malawak. Kasi Programming sya, Theories, tas in short puro Math Math at Problem Solving. Arguably sya ung pinaka mahirap. Pero eto ang patok ngayon. Kapag gusto mo talaga, nagsikap ka, magaling ka at grumaduate ka dito settled ang future mo. Pag aagawan ka pa ng mga company. Laki pa ng sweldo, GG ang ibang kurso.

Yes, kung kaya part-time during summer or habang pumapasok why not. This get's you some experience working kahit wala sa linya ninyo. This gives you an idea what adulting is in real life hehehe

From low-level language programming dapat alam mo incorporate Dapat magaling ka sa electronjc, gaya ng IC mga logic gate at kung paano incorporate ito sa systems at software. from low level programming dapat pag aralan mabuti. More common ginagawa gaya ng Robotics, POS, PLC, Machine incorporated sa PC, automation, electronic devices, computer base pheriperal, communication, etc etc Pwede rin programmer ang Computer Engineer dahil nag master din High Level Language Programming pwede rin maging software developer, pwede rin Network Engineer. Proud Computer Engineer grad. At isang System Engineer..

3rd year computer engineering here. Siguro one of the perks sa computer engineering is yung engineering skills mismo na ma tutunan mo. Hindi Naman kami masyado nag tackle about computer programming or what😅... Mas focused kami in analyzing and solving societal problems just like what other engineers do. Naka depende na sa Amin kung anong approach yung e take Namin in order so solve certain problems and that includes innovations☺️

HAHAHA nung nag college ako walang available na ibang course kaya nag IT ako. At college institution lang pinag college ko kasi nag working student ako pag college. HAHAHA di ko alam mas syado kung ano ang IT . pero totoo more on talaga sa hardware kasi samin babad kami sa computer lab lalo na’t sa computer troubleshooting, reformat, server-client setup at iba pa. pero naka hiligan ko talaga ang software . tas di medyo maliit lang nadidiscuss pag tuwing software side puros lang basics. kaya pala ganon kasi ang IT more on talaga hardware. wala ngang nadiscuss samin like mvc, at iba pang structure para sa software na side. hahaha kaya’t medyo nababagohan ako sa work ko ngayon as a Software developer. di na discuss samin mga in deep topic sa software na side
minsan kulang talaga ang maituturo sayo sa school. you need to learn it first hand on the industry para mahawakan mo ano talaga ang standards and functions sa real life. nothing beats first hand experience.

May mga company na naghahanap ng specific track kung saan ka nag-graduate pero totoo, sometimes need lang nila makita na graduate ka ng 4 year course sa IT then they will evaluate your skills whether sa programming ka or hardware.

It seems a lot has changed since I graduated in the early 2000. During that time, BSCS is the broader course, with BSIT focusing in the DB/business-side. BSCS - more on system development aimed at creating system software, tackling AI, graphics programming, firmware (assembly), software engineering, networking and system administration, with differential and integral calculus. BSIT - more on database development aimed at creating software to help with the computerization and the transition of businesses digitally, also tackles networking and system administration, plus accounting subjects. Yup, we don't have web development yet during that time, lol! But yes, whatever course you take, our advantage in the IT field is we can easily transition anytime. :) Great video Lou!

Hello po, ano po yung course na focus po siya sa software or programming or coding po? Pagnag-IT po ba, pwede bang mag-specialize sa software? Kung hindi naman po. Ano po yung course na kukuhain ko po like ikaw po yung magdedevelop ng mga applications? apps, games, softwares and magproprogramming in mobile or computer like yung gagawa po ako ng mga applications sa comp or mobile/any device na makakatulong po sa mga tao or oraganization. Halimbawa#1 po ay nagdevelop or nagprogramm po ako ng app na makakatulong po sa mga bulag po/may kapansanan po. Yung functions/uses ng app na pong iyon is kapag itinutok mo po siya sa isang bagay or saan po nakatapat yung camera marerecognize niya po yun and sasabihin niya po sa user kung ano po iyon para po mas mapadali po ang buhay nila/hindi po sila mahirapan masiyado. Halimbawa #2 po is yung kami po yung gumagawa ng mga applications po ba or software po? Na nakakatulong po sa tao o para po mapabilis yung trabaho/buhay ng isang tao po Sorry po kung marami po akong tanong at may parang mali po akong terms na nagamit. you don't need to go back sa college unless you want the degree. i would suggest go straight ka sa IT Certifications kasi it will save you more time and learn the actual skills itself

I would recommend to study other skills or technology, or other programming languages to supplement your skills. And rejection is part of life, you will experience it today or in the future kaya wag ka matatakot. Suggestion ko, go to as many interviews as you can. The more you attend, the better your confidence will become.

Kung web development, front end at back end dapat alam mo language or kelangan mo ng team para hati hati kau. Kung games naman kelangan mo ng game engine para makacreate at ng back end language. Depende Lang talaga say kung ano gusto mo icreate.

Hindi Naman kami masyado nag tackle about computer programming or what😅... Mas focused kami in analyzing and solving societal problems just like what other engineers do. Naka depende na sa Amin kung anong approach yung e take Namin in order so solve certain problems and that includes innovations☺️

HAHAHA nung nag college ako walang available na ibang course kaya nag IT ako. At college institution lang pinag college ko kasi nag working student ako pag college. HAHAHA di ko alam mas syado kung ano ang IT . pero totoo more on talaga sa hardware kasi samin babad kami sa computer lab lalo na’t sa computer troubleshooting, reformat, server-client setup at iba pa. pero naka hiligan ko talaga ang software . tas di medyo maliit lang nadidiscuss pag tuwing software side puros lang basics. kaya pala ganon kasi ang IT more on talaga hardware. wala ngang nadiscuss samin like mvc, at iba pang structure para sa software na side. hahaha kaya’t medyo nababagohan ako sa work ko ngayon as a Software developer. di na discuss samin mga in deep topic sa software na side
minsan kulang talaga ang maituturo sayo sa school. you need to learn it first hand on the industry para mahawakan mo ano talaga ang standards and functions sa real life. nothing beats first hand experience.

Coe,ComScie,BSIT lahat maganda nasa tao nalang kase kung ano gusto sa IT Firm yang 3 yan din naman hinahanap,basta marunong ka ng programming parang nagkakapareho na silang 3....Ako dati ComScie pero Nag IT nako....
May mga company na naghahanap ng specific track kung saan ka nag-graduate pero totoo, sometimes need lang nila makita na graduate ka ng 4 year course sa IT then they will evaluate your skills whether sa programming ka or hardware.

@trash potato just study the subjects na kukunin mo sa college. you don't need a high grade, just learn and enjoy. you'll eventually learn IT skills that you'll love and pursue. ganon nangyari sakin.

It seems a lot has changed since I graduated in the early 2000. During that time, BSCS is the broader course, with BSIT focusing in the DB/business-side.
BSCS - more on system development aimed at creating system software, tackling AI, graphics programming, firmware (assembly), software engineering, networking and system administration, with differential and integral calculus.
BSIT - more on database development aimed at creating software to help with the computerization and the transition of businesses digitally, also tackles networking and system administration, plus accounting subjects.
Yup, we don't have web development yet during that time, lol! But yes, whatever course you take, our advantage in the IT field is we can easily transition anytime. :)

Hello po, ano po yung course na focus po siya sa software or programming or coding po? Pagnag-IT po ba, pwede bang mag-specialize sa software? Kung hindi naman po. Ano po yung course na kukuhain ko po like ikaw po yung magdedevelop ng mga applications? apps, games, softwares and magproprogramming in mobile or computer like yung gagawa po ako ng mga applications sa comp or mobile/any device na makakatulong po sa mga tao or oraganization.
Halimbawa#1 po ay nagdevelop or nagprogramm po ako ng app na makakatulong po sa mga bulag po/may kapansanan po. Yung functions/uses ng app na pong iyon is kapag itinutok mo po siya sa isang bagay or saan po nakatapat yung camera marerecognize niya po yun and sasabihin niya po sa user kung ano po iyon para po mas mapadali po ang buhay nila/hindi po sila mahirapan masiyado.
Halimbawa #2 po is yung kami po yung gumagawa ng mga applications po ba or software po? Na nakakatulong po sa tao o para po mapabilis yung trabaho/buhay ng isang tao po

you don't need to go back sa college unless you want the degree. i would suggest go straight ka sa IT Certifications kasi it will save you more time and learn the actual skills itself

Graduate ako ng computer science last year pero hindi ako confident pasukin yung field ng tinapos ko dahil natatakot ako ma reject since hindi ko naman talaga napag tuusan ng pansin yung tinapos ko. 🥺
I would recommend to study other skills or technology, or other programming languages to supplement your skills. And rejection is part of life, you will experience it today or in the future kaya wag ka matatakot. Suggestion ko, go to as many interviews as you can. The more you attend, the better your confidence will become.

Either Kung gusto mo gumawa ng website, gumawa ng games or gumawa ng application or maybe A.I. or machine learning Yan available ang alam ko marami pa options pero di mo Naman kelangan ng maraming language jan. Kung web development, front end at back end dapat alam mo language or kelangan mo ng team para hati hati kau. Kung games naman kelangan mo ng game engine para makacreate at ng back end language. Depende Lang talaga say kung ano gusto mo icreate.

Basics lang on how to operate, the rest matututunan mo sa school nyo mismo. Pero syempre wag ka magrerely sa ituturo lang, sariling sikap din to learn in advance on your own. Yan ang buhay ng IT, lagi tayo mag-aaral ng bagong technology.
