Jennifer... you are getting a standing ovation over here! I was beginning to think that, I just did not have the layering stamping eye! I was ready to part with my altenew layering stamps. I thought failure after failure, they're collecting dust...but at thhe same time I'm not one that gives up easily. The try, try, again. I'm so glad I didn't give up, and those stamps are still there in the drawer. This is so brilliant. I Love this lesson, and I have saved it for quick reference. You are a "Gem" Jen!!! Sending you a big hug. Thank you so MUCH!
I bought a lot of layering stamps only to discover I was having real trouble lining them up. I am really looking forward to trying out your idea Jennifer and once again I would just like to say how grateful I am to you for making such fabulous professional clear creative and interesting videos for us all to enjoy. You are a star!
I'm only 8 minutes in but I just had to say I love your idea to use the index sheet to line up the image! Genius! I ALWAYS learn something new from your videos, thank you thank you!
This is wonderful, Jennifer. Thankyou so much for all the work you put into what you do. I am sure you have helped many people on many levels. Your cards are beautiful.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! It can be so disheartening to stamp a multi-layering Stamp only to discover you’ve messed it up by being off center...this method will certainly help with all multi-layered Stamps, but especially so for ones that are more intricate. While you’re correct, sometimes close is good enough, for people like myself 'close' is VERY noticeable and ruins the whole card. You are one of the most artistic Stampers I’ve come across, and your teaching methods are so easy to follow, anyone can feel successful just by following you! Thank You again 😻😻😸
You are a Goddess! I am loving my layered stamps again. What a novel idea with the index sheet, love, love, love!! Thank you so much for sharing your talents!! Much appreciated!
Those cards are absolutely gorgeous! I am still fairly new to this method of making cards and I get so overwhelmed when I try to create a card. But I just keep plugging along at it. Thank you for all that you do.
You just make things sooo much easier and explains as a godess! My first attempts using 3-d stamps didn´t made me happy and now I know why. Thank´s a lot!
I love the Altenew layering products but I struggle with alignment, to the point that I had given up on some of the layering stamps. After watching this video, I downloaded their colored layering guide for my stamps from Altenew's website and printed them on a transparency film sheet on my printer. I used the transparency as a guide, like you demonstrated, aligning and then putting the white paper under the film. I burst into tears, I was able to get a perfect layered flower on the first try. Being a perfectionist is hard.
I searched for this video because of my miserable failure with that Christmas 3-D bell layering set (also with tree bough and round ornament). I just couldn't get the 2nd layer to line up with the hanging ring on top. And the middle line around the bell was never right. Will give it another try and dry in-between because one of my inks was really wet. Thank you for giving me real advice on how to accomplish this layering. Object with lines on them just have to be perfect! Anne
Jennifer: I'm a little late to the game; your video is the best one regarding using Kitchen Sink Layering stamps with the index sheet; I'm very visual, and this was a light bulb moment for me.. Thank you for all you do for the crafting community. I have the Kitchen Sink Turkey layering stamp, and it is a bugger of a stamp set to layer..
Hi Jennifer. This is a great way to layer stamps. I watched Altenew’s suggestion with little arrows made on the paper, but this makes way more sense and seems much easier with a better result. Thanks so much for this great video as well as the one doing this just using acrylic blocks.
Jennifer, thank you so much for your detail explanation of how to do the layering of stamps and drying in between layers. I've never had any luck with my layering stamps because they all seemed to blur together with the inks (now I know why).
WOW Jennifer, these are amazing! My favourite card is the large tree that you did, it truly looks real! These are all amazing layering sets and your demonstration for how to do them was extremely helpful. Thanks so much for your awesome tutorials!
Your ingenious way to layer stamps is so helpful. I can't wait to try is as I have mixed results with layering stamps. I just watched your video using a stamp positioning tool as well. Thank you for sharing your talents.
This is one of your videos where I just shake my head the whole time. So simple, but I would never have though to do it. You really are brilliant and we all are so thankful for you! Thank you!
Thank you! I needed this! I don’t use layering stamps much because I struggle with them so much. I’m going to give this a try. And I love a couple of those stamp sets! I’m off to check out Kitchen Sink Stamps now.
Awesome tutorial, so logical when you think about it, but definitely needs someone like you to show us. Thanks so much for all your hard work and knowledge.
Such a great idea for stamp layering and one that I will be bookmarking and referring my customers to for years to come. ;) Thank you for all you do for this community. I have been so overwhelmed with life that I haven't had as much free time as I would like to watch, but I'm feeling really inspired to binge watch your channel while working on Christmas. Thanks for the stamp feature too. Big hugs!
Thank you Jennifer! Love your tips and techniques. I’m surprised you have any time in your life to do anything else because you are so prolific. Keep them coming!
HOLY HOLY COW ARE YOU KIDDING ME????? I JUST PULLED OUT THE MOST DIFFICULT LAYERING STAMP I HAVE EVER TRIED - ALTENEW SNAPDRAGON - AND IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry to shout but I am in shock at how ingenious you are. I even asked Altenew if I could return this stamp because after trying for HOURS (seriously) I was able to do this in 30 min. And that was the first time - I know i will be able to get that even faster!!! I am going to try it again tomorrow because I still can’t believe it!!!! I will report back. JENNIFER I HOPE YOU SEE THIS BECAUSE YOU ARE A NATIONAL TREASURE AND DESERVE ALL THE THANKS AND GRATITUDE WE CAN ALL HEAP UPON YOU!!!!!
another great tutorial for layering stamps. What a blessing to have shared this and saved it. I will need to come back to it again and again............thanks Jennifer..............pat
I’m glad to see you using Kitchen Sink stamps. They have been making great layering stamps for a long time and deserve the attention. And it is time I get mine out again to use them more!
Brilliant. So very helpful and those stamps are gorgeous. I can't wait to try this method. I thought I had to just give up on the layering sets but -- maybe not! Thank you so much.
You are truely a national treasure to the stamping/scrapbooking community. This is amazing! You make it so even ten thumbs magoo could do this sucessfully every time. You can add born teacher to your long list of titles. Thank you for sharing your heart.
I have been a fan of Kitchen Sink Stamps for years now and the tree stamp set is the most realistic stamp set EVER...one of my favorites...the butterfly stamp set that KSS sells also is just plain GORGEOUS...sooo happy that you have found this amazing company!
I have used your layering die cut tips in the past and they are a god-send! I was so frustrated and ready to give up but you saved the day! Thank you so much for your awesome help!
Game changer for using the Layering stamps... the Kitchen Sink stamps are the best.. I also like that they have recipe colors on their website.. another wonderful small company to support
Jennifer, your mind is just truly amazing!!! I have learned so many wonderful techniques and ideas from your videos. You are truly inspirational!! Thank you for sharing with us all your ideas.
This is brilliant. I have stamped for years. How could I not have worked that out??!!! Thanks for all you do for this community!! :) Your engineering background brings so much to this field too!! Hugs.
Hey Jennifer....well, all I can say is that this is the BEST TIP I've ever seen for stamping layering sets, especially for anyone like me who does struggle with some of the sets. I can't tell you how excited I am to give this a try. Thank you so, so much!
Jennifer : Consistently, over all the years I have been subscribed.. you continue to produce such high end, beneficial content ! Thank you for doing all the mental gymnastics, as well as creating multiple examples and step by step tutorials so we can get great results with our crafting / card making adventures .. LOVE ALL of your videos ! I don't always comment, but I am faithfully watching them all.. : ]
These layering stamps look SO MUCH EASIER than the Altenew! I too have several Altenew layering stamp sets and I have failed more times than I have succeeded. This was a very, very educational video, Jennifer and such beautiful cards.............Hallmark quality, as all of your cards are. Thank you so much!
WOW once again you have really helped me to make things easier to stamp. I have struggled with the layering and now I am once again anxious to get started and see some great results from all your tips and techniques. Thank you Jennifer for sharing all your great knowledge. Have a great day.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!! Once again you have given me new hope for using my layered stamps. I have struggled with the few I have, but can't wait to try, try again! You are awesome, Jen. Keep up the great videos.
great tips. I have one for those who would like the coloered acetate for their other sets. stamp out your stamps on a clear sheet with Stazon in the colors you might have, I think that would help
I struggle with a particular Altenew layering stamp set, to the point I am ready to give up and give it away. This video has inspired me to try this technique and give it another go. Thank you so much for the in depth instructions.
You really are an engineering artist! Amazing. I also really like the stamps you used. Never heard of them and they look fantastic! Always sharing new ideas, ways to success, and supporting others. Thanks for all you do.
I love how you use many different brands. This is how I work, I find it very challenging to stick to one brand. Thanks for this technique. I often have to abandon my stamp platform when layering to get good positioning.
Timing on this couldn't be better. I was practicing with some layered floral stamps yesterday and having a heck of a time getting them lined up right. Also your tip to dry between layers may explain why my layers were looking a little muddy. Thanks so much for these wonderful tips and the introduction to Kitchen Sink stamps.
How clever...I’m going to this a try with one of my floral stamps. Maureen Wong shows a similar technique; she stamped each layer out individually and then lined the stamps. This technique is less labor intensive, but both worth a whirl. Thank you for teaching us.
I have tried the altenew layering stamps so many times and failed miserably to get good results. This has given me confidence to try again with your wonderful technique, thank you so much 😘💖 x
Me too, just tried this and still didn’t get a good result. It’s me, not the technique. Also, I think inks make all the difference ,too. I don’t think I have enough different shades. 🤷♀️. Will keep trying.
Thank you for an excellent tip. I have so many of the Altenew layering stamp sets that sit unused because they are so difficult to line up. When they are brand new it's not too bad, but once you stamp with them they retain color from the ink so become difficult to see through. If you can't see through them you can't really line them up well. I've stopped buying them because I can't use them. I'll have to try this method. Thanks!
Fantastic video Jennifer! You really did a great job of explaining how to line up those stamps! I've not had the best luck lining up some of the ones I have and have been disappointed in how they turned out! This seems like a way that I might have luck with lining things up! Thank you so much!!
ok..I tried this method...since I struggle using the Altenew stamps...and this works great...I now can buy more layering stamps because I can actually stamp with confidence I won't mess up the layers Thank you Jennifer!!
totally awesome tips - I too, struggled with altenew layering stamps but I am sure if I try this I will fall in love with the Altenew stamps I have again - thank you Jennifer!
This is a great video and I love the berry stamps. I am going to add them to my wishlist. I really love the 2nd generation idea. I would have never thought of this and it is awesome. Thank you so much!
Great cards! Would be fun to give as sets. Kitchen Sink layering stamps are so realistic looking! Thank you for all the tips and tricks to line them up.💕
Love this line of stamps. They look so realistic. Your technique reminds me of the old days using a stamp-a-ma-jig but the ink on the plastic smeared easily. I am going to try this with the Altenew flower stamp that has five layers! Not easy at all to line up. Can’t wait to see your technique not using a stamp positioner. Thank you!
Best tips ever Jennifer! This is amazing! I can't wait to try this idea. I have many layering stamp sets and these tips will certainly make stamping a whole lot more enjoyable. Thank you so much for all you do.
Great tips for stamp sets that provide an index sheet but most do not. My biggest problem is my eyesight so, I tend to steer clear of layer stamping. Everything you do just turns out amazing. You are so talented.

Thank you so much! I love the look of layered stamps but I had so much trouble positioning them. I was so frustrated I didn't buy them. I will give this a try.
Thank for sharing Jennifer. I so enjoy your tips and tricks. Wow other companies need to just on that band wagon and color print their sheets. But i have got to try, Love your kindness!
I love Kitchen Sink stamps and have a set from 2002! I especially love your technique for using the Misti to get perfect alignment and I’ll be giving it a go for sure!

Fabulous ideas! Love the color change adding in the warmer color with blending tool! You have the best voice to listen to!
Best tip ever! Don’t know how you come up with these ideas but I’m glad you do!

The first tree you stamped looks like a photograph, just beautiful!! Knowing what colors to use helps a lot too. Great tips, TFS !!!
Being a teacher myself, I am impressed with your way of teaching. You do a wonderful job 💜

Beautiful cards and a very thorough and informative video. I love the Kitchen Sink stamps, they are so realistic.

Great, informative video. The techniques are so helpful. The cards are beautiful! TFS!
Another awesome video! Thank you 👍🏻. Those tree stamps are just so gorgeous. 😍
I have tried the altenew layering stamps so many times and failed miserably to get good results. This has given me confidence to try again with your wonderful technique, thank you so much 😘💖 x
Wow, you make this easy, I usually can’t line these up well at all, but will definitely try this tip. Thank you so much for sharing!

I am definitely going to try this new way of lining up my stamps. I have such a hard time lining up the layers. Thank up
Oh my gosh! Those raspberries are my favorite! Wow. This is so cool! Hugs, treen. 💕💕💕💕👌👌👌😍😍😍😍😎😎😎😎
Thank you for all the tips and tricks to line them up.💕
Brilliant! Thank you!
OMG these took my breath away! So appreciate your detailed video of these positioning techniques.
Thank you!
Just tried it. Made some perfect layered leaves. Thanks Jennifer! Such awesome techniques. :-)
Hi Jennifer 👋 thank you for demonstrating such a very helpful tutorial your cards looked very nice 👍🐕💞 Lin
So pretty! Kitchen sink won't know whats hit them after we all swarm on their stamps after this lol thanks for sharing😊
Best tips ever Jennifer! This is amazing! I can't wait to try this idea. I have many layering stamp sets and these tips will certainly make stamping a whole lot more enjoyable. Thank you so much for all you do.
Very very nice! 😊 You are my favorite person to listen to! 💛
Maybe I'll get some of my Altenew stamps to line up with this trick. Thank you, Jennifer. This just might be the game changer!
Great tips for stamp sets that provide an index sheet but most do not. My biggest problem is my eyesight so, I tend to steer clear of layer stamping. Everything you do just turns out amazing. You are so talented.
Plan to pull out my layering stamps tomorrow and give this a try. Gets a little complicated just watching, but I love the results. Thank you again!
Totally Awesome Video! Thank you so much for sharing this with us! I have Stampin Up layering stamps. I think I will make my own index sheet for them. You Rock Jen!💕
Great method! Thank you for posting this video. Also, those tree stamps are so beautiful!
This is going to make my life SO much easier when using Altenew’s Build A Flower stamp sets!! Thank you💕💕
Just fabulous! You amaze me over and over. Thank you.
Love that pear. Thank you for sharing. Wow, Kitchen Sink Stamps has some gorgeous layering stamps. I do something similar for layered stamps that I find to be a little tricky. I stamp the image on a transparent sheet and use that as a guide. I'll have to remember your suggestion next time and give it a try. =)
Thank you Jennifer. I love Kitchen Sink stamps.
Thank you so much! I love the look of layered stamps but I had so much trouble positioning them. I was so frustrated I didn't buy them. I will give this a try.
Beautiful stamp sets! Glad to hear of Kitchen Sink. This method is truly genius. I WILL definitely use it. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
Thank for sharing Jennifer. I so enjoy your tips and tricks. Wow other companies need to just on that band wagon and color print their sheets. But i have got to try, Love your kindness!
Those multiple layers really give a "true" image of those trees especially.
I love Kitchen Sink stamps and have a set from 2002! I especially love your technique for using the Misti to get perfect alignment and I’ll be giving it a go for sure!
Oops, I meant 2007.
What a great demo! I've loved KSS for years and glad that you do, too!
