Matt stop worrying so much about what others think, it will stop you, you are fine just as you are, you are looking for what you want, that is all that matters. If somebody wants to collab with you and fly you to Paris on a private jet, we will all be there with you, looking at it through your eyes, enjoying that experience and opportunity. We all know you work for what you have, so you get to enjoy all that it brings. the only one who will 'cancel' you are those who 'cancel' people and they are not YOUR people!
You could always create a guest house for visitors. Would be cheaper for utilities than having a massive home IMHO. Or you could use the guest house for working space.
In the Netherlands you usually get a permit for one house on a property, so building a quest house is not an easy option.

Guys don’t ever apologize for what you have and what you’ve worked for. It’s always nice to think big and I agree it would be a mistake to buy something that was like what you had already. I can’t wait to see what you finally settle on as your new home, I know it will be beautiful. I absolutely loved Jesse getting the horse kisses at the end.

Many things can contribute to a sense of well-being and happiness but nothing tops the power of love.. knowing that you are loved.. accepted and valued for yourself.. so Jesse is right about his contribution to Matt's happiness.. and Matt to his ❤❤
If you purchase a property, especially in the Netherlands but in other countries as well, be sure to go HIGH, as in elevation. Flooding is already an issue everywhere, and low places should be avoided. Be a refuge from the storms and ocean levels that are coming, not a reservoir. No low place will be safe for horses. 👍🏼
Yes lived in this place 8 years and last year the rain ran down to us, like a river through the yard. There was fish in the field on the grass!

There are no ocean levels coming. There's no global warming, it's just climate that changes through the years as it has been doing for thousands of years. That's nature.

It is not stupid that warm weather makes you happy, it has been proved that the weather has an influence in our emotions, cold foggy rainy days make us more unconfortable, sad, etc whille sunny days and overall good weather makes us happy
Truth! I, too live where it rains a lot, and seasonal depression is real and takes a toll. Sunny days make a huge difference on my mood, energy levels, and motivation.
I'm just the opposite. Dark rainy days make me happy. I'm not a fan of bright sunny days.

It is very enjoyable to here you 2 talk about your lives. Obviously, no house is perfect, and the house you showed us was beautiful. But, you would probably regret buying a house that doesn't give you ample space for work and privacy. Thanks for taking us on the journey.
The house was beautiful but Jesse is right that you don’t have to worry about explaining why you didn’t go with it. We’re all just house hunter fanatics who want to see the cool horse properties and hear your fun plans, but at no point should you worry what we’ll think. Cuz honestly it’s none of our business and you’re already being very sweet by sharing with us what you do.
TLDR: you do you and find a home that meets your needs/wants, because you’ve both worked so hard for this opportunity!

I love the unstable podcast! I have been to places that have ADU’s (adjacent dwelling units) for people who need to stay on the property for a period of time. Some were sort of tiny houses, and one place that had two beautiful Gulf Stream trailers. The tiny house and the caravans were hooked up to water and sewage, and had full (but small) kitchens, showers etc.-everything a guest would need without entering the main house (owner’s privacy protected). I know there is a lot of hullabaloo regarding ADU’s, so depending on where you live would dictate adding ADU’s to your property.

The first property you've discovered is really beautiful, but if the house is too small, don't be disappointed and search elsewhere. If I may say, it's the land that I find too small for about ten horses.

I agree that you have to have a very accomodating home, especially for family visiting, but also for connections with work. The vibe of your previous home i think was so good, and you will know when youve found the right place. In your stable tours, remembrr the one in winter, in Sweden or Norway? It was snowing and the whole story of how this amazing place was created, on a mountain...the land was inherired. Anyway, that place was like a fairytale to me. I think you could do well in a really magic place again... I think the point about it being on higher ground is a good one, although the Dutch are so resourceful. Im so excited for your future. You guys have grown alot. Jesse i can still see you doing mime in your shows. Just body language with the horses...you are so expressive with your hands, and face, and are an inspirational performer! Youve got lots to develop still!

Hey guys! I think you should do exactly as you want to do with the private jet matter. The property you looked at was beautiful but it was early days then and hopefully you’ll have a lot of options ahead. It sounds like there is a place that you’re very interested in. One thing I noticed is that you don’t seem to be really stressed out about finding a place. I just remember your video when you let all of us know that you had sold your home and then when you were moving. It was such a stressful time. Now you both seem pretty relaxed and happy these days and that’s a beautiful thing. Take care and lots of love to you! ❤️

When you know what you want, then you get something as close to meeting your goals , and needs as you possibly can! You should have a space that allows you to express yourself;whether that means expressing yourself artistically, spiritually, relationally, emotionally! You should have joy, and peace when you walk into your sanctuary at the end of a hard work day, I love the feeling of our house; she is definitely a happy, healthy, and peaceful older lady who carries herself with warmth and pride 🤩❣️

I am the type of person who acknowledges when something is funny, but rarely laughs out loud. There is always at least one thing in these Unstable videos that gets me laughing every time (Pedro Pedro Pedro did it!). I keep saying that you two balance each other so well - you actually augment one another. About the jet: think about it really hard, then stop thinking about it - even sleep on it. The right answer will come.
As for the property you showed: yes, it was beautiful, but its purpose was to give you a jumping off point. You know what you want and you know where you need to be flexible. Your decision will be the right one because you both bring your own unique talents and perspectives in making the final decision. I'm excited to see where you land!

A private jet is not comparable to the emission of a car or a normal plane. I honestly think it's too much. I get your point but still it's too capitalistic and not good for the environment to live that dream.

Hi from the UK,,,l used to run my Morgan entire with my old gelding from l got him at 6mths,,,the old boy taught him manners and wouldn't be pushed around by the young upstart,,,my young Morgan was very gentle,,,l took him everywhere showing in hand and he would follow me round in the field like a puppy,,,and he was a gentleman with the mares who came to him,,good luck with everything you are doing,,,❤❤
An idea with the jet thing; maybe have someone joining that normally struggles to fly regular planes (because of a disability or simillar)? Or someone that have had a really hard time lately and to give them a fun experience.
It sounds like the perfect property would have two houses; it's great you are being picky so in the end you are both happy in your new home.
Go for that private Plane ride! I mean its a once in a lifetime opportunity, theres much worse things than that.

And yes, that place you saw was really nice, but, if the house did not meet up with the quality of the barn and arenas.. well, since the home is where the heart is, (family/friends/work space) I understand why you took a pass on this one. But it WAS very pretty!

This was a really nice pod cast! First let me say that your home you sold was so beautiful! it will be hard to find anything that even comes close to it but, you will make the new home even better. Second, take the plane! it will give you extra time to spend doing some extra things. It's not like you are going to do it all the time. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity. The last thing I want to say is that it was perfect timing how your horse started showing its affection> The ending of the pod cast could not have been any better! ❤
That place was nice but the home was definitely small in comparison to your last home. The indoor arena was very spacious. The inside of the barn was cozy. I'm sure you will find the home that will fit you completely. Keep on checking out different areas and picture yourselves living in it and all your horses living there also. As you check everything out, the home that speaks to you will be your home. You'll both know it when that happens then you'll know "you're home". The best to you and yours!
If we all only had the problems you have picking a property. When you find it you'll know. In the meantime we have to be so thankful for what we do have. Love your videos so keep them coming. I hope you get to see some good dressage in Paris. I'd love to see some too.
