G5 on the Strasbourg line, awaiting restoration, and a J1 at the Pennsylvania mesuem. well technically it's an M1 but the same wheel arrangement as the J1 apart from the bogie wheels at the front.
It’s a great teaser to watch to come as Pennsylvania railroad K4 Pacific Locomotive number 1361 is still ongoing with her restoration. Here’s a RailRoad fact my great great great grandfather drove that engine and was an engineer for the Pennsylvania railroad. He was my mom‘s great great grandpappy I have a picture of him in my apartment as well as a black-and-white photograph of 1361 on display at horseshoe curve.
While I do find the nyc whistle great on 1309 hearing 1361’s whistle on 1309 sounds just as great! Sure can’t wait to see what’s the next whistle they’ll place on 1309.
Really good video! I see myself further down the line at 2:51. Thought we weren't gonna have 1309 running that day. Found out that one of the generators on one of the passenger cars crapped out. On the later runs they added the First Peoples Bank generator car as a fallback.
This is our first video released using manual focus! Tell us what you think!
Amazing job. I thought 1361s whistle was a higher pitch. This whistle compared to the one from 1987 out on nittany and bald eagle scenic rr
Excellent choice, good sir
Hearing 1309 with a pennsy whistle just brings a tear to the eye.
Awesome! Fingers crossed for 1361s restoration!
Sounds like a G5, T1, Q2, and J1! Awesome catch and well done!

Excellent video! I have donated hundreds of dollars to PRR 1361’s restoration. Others should too!
Thank you! It's the only way these projects can get done!
Love hearing 1361's voice

Very nice work I regret not thinking of seeing it this fall
What a big, bad BEAUTY of an engine. Steam power at its absolute finest. Great footage, especially the shot at 1:58. Wow.
Fantastic video! One of my favorites of yours yet. Was great seeing you out on the first Friday I chased.
Thank you, Christian! It certainly was a beautiful day to spend trackside!

I prefer the Norfolk and Western whistle or a Southern railway whistle.
ALRIGHT ALABOARD 😊! , 0:38
When are they going to fix their turntable track?
When time and other resources allow. Track work is not free, neither in terms of money nor manpower.
Are you going to film the 2102 in November 6😊
Too bad the stoker is all or nothing, making for serious smoke bursts, with the bituminous coal they're burning. Doesn't help fuel-efficiency either.
I think this is insult to steam locomotives.
How so?
How is that an insult? Lol Do you even know what the definition of insult means?
