I never get tired of this song. One of my all time faves. Why is Ryan Montbleau not heard on radio stations across the US??? He's simply great at what he does.
Ryan, Ive had a tough road in the past two years, and this song makes me smile. Its a tough thing to do these days.... So just know that your music inspires my heart and soul to heal :)
It's always great to find a song that's clever, wise, and kindhearted. This song is one of those. I found it 4-5 years ago and still listen to it a couple of times a week...at least.
Ryan in ATX at Antones was magic. He had the crowd memorized and listening to every drop of lyric falling from those speakers. This young man is making it to the top.
Ryan is not only an incredible artist, he is the nicest guy I've ever met. Honestly, you'd think that a well known guy like him would be arrogant. He isn't at all, took time to sign a little piece of paper for me and took a picture with me and my friend. His Buffalo show was great yesterday. Thanks a bundle!
im glad to have stood foot in bars and small venues when you guys began, and i'm even more proud to say i'm dancing in my livingroom, streaming you from some fancy spotify... through changes, and styles, and members, yall still have the ability to make me remember who I really am, and a time that is just so beautiful. :) thanks for being awesome! ;) -Kimba
Wow, what a talent! I mean really, the lyrics, the guitar playing, style is mezmorizing and rhythmic. Your music really just makes me happy and think about the world. I'm glad he is finally making some stops in the midwest this year. I will be there!
I've been a huge fan for several years - looking forward to seeing him in Oct. and on Jam Cruise 10! This video floored me harder than the first time I heard "Draw the Line." I didn't know it was possible for me to love this song more than I already do! Thanks for posting this truly unique view!
“If you don't get what you want, you suffer; if you get what you don't want, you suffer; even when you get exactly what you want, you still suffer because you can't hold on to it forever. Your mind is your predicament. It wants to be free of change. Free of pain, free of the obligations of life and death. But change is law and no amount of pretending will alter that reality"
I have told SO many people about this guy since the true acoustic great deserve to be noticed. Ryan should not go unrecognized or unremembered. Share this guy's music with at least ten people today. I also dig Jim Gibson and Mason Jennings.
saw these guys open for and play with Martin Sexton this past Sunday in Syracuse...bought one of their CD's AT the concert (I'm wearing it out), met some friends of theirs at the concert...Ryan and his band were outside before the concert and stopped and talked to several people in the line. I'm a fan of such talent out of such genuine guys...hope they stay this way, and it looks like Martin is playing "dad" to them, so I'm sure they are in good hands.
This is such an incredible song--I've been listening to it on repeat since I discovered it a few days ago. This version brings out the lyrics and emotional content much better than with the band. Thank you so much for posting this.
Saw you and the band so this at the High Noon in Madison. I loved it then and it's great to see you doing it in the living room...thaks for posting this.
jason rushton highly recommened the Ryan Montbleau band to me! They were just in my hometown LEPREAU at the Sun Seeker festival... back east population 300, can you imagine!!

Is there somewhere where i can buy THIS version of this song? I see other versions at the iTunes store, but this one has my
archive.org - might be able to find a similar style of recording from a live show. Great LEGAL live music resource.

Damn, the boy can sure write a song, but I really prefer him with a band behind him. And I think this is the first time I ever saw him without a hat!
