Facts, but it's so sad that he's losing his English speaking skills. If u watch his recent English interviews, the 2015 met gala for example, he had a really strong accent and weird pronunciations. I think it's just cause he's been in China for too long that he's forgetting English and Korean. Kpop is an industry that treasures high notes and yes, while they are nice, a lot of artists have beautiful voices that aren't showcase enough just because they are "too low" for their standards. SM is a big criminal in this case, the reason why they pushed Kris into being a rapper was because he "couldn't sing high enough" and because he had a good sense of rhythm. It didn't seem like he wanted to. Has far as I know, Tao is the only one that has any experience in rapping.

Although I think Chanyeol and Tao actually enjoy rapping, whereas Kris was more forced into it, I'd still like to hear both of them sing more than one line someday. Cat Tang it is a big mistake to put 12 people in one group and expect them to have chances showing their talents. well unless you give them that chances which would be impossible for their number. they have been practice and trained for great times and tough to gain what they are expected to show people , but then put them in this huge group? it is not working. each member must have his own shining talent and he should show it!

My one biggest problem with Kpop music is that the voices are too polished. They pick the most technically skilled group member from a group of the most technically skilled trainees, and the trainees are the most technically skilled auditionees, and THEN they take that super super technical singer and give him or her tons MORE training and autotune on top of it. They sing all the notes and sound clear, but the soul is gone a lot of the time. I do have respect for technical and well-trained singers, but more "rough" voices need to be heard as well. Otherwise you get advertising jingles, not art. Basically this is a long winded way of saying that I adore Kris' voice, and I do miss him from EXO but I'm glad he has the chance to portray himself the way he actually performs.
Kpop really just means, Korean popular music. Pearl Jam is popular in the US, so is Britney Spears. There's boy bands like EXO and then there's Tiger JK, hot potato and Epic High. Too bad Eastern Sidekick doesn't get some of that attention.
I know a lot of kpop songs need high notes but a lot also need low notes personally I like the idols that have low voices Kris was my Bias before he left I was sad but I always would listen to his music and cheer up!
