I just want to take a second to tell you that you have reignited my passion for beading! My local store moved to a different city and I cannot find instructors whose style I like. Since I found your channel I’m hooked!! I’ll even listen at work because of your great demeanor and calm, clear instructions. I bead for my own pleasure and I make gifts for my mother so please keep your videos coming! Maybe one day I’ll get good enough to try design 🥰

Making my way through some of your older tutorials and I have to say....you are simply amazing Stephanie!!! I love these earrings and then when you started pulling out some of your other creations, I got dizzy with crystal overload. I love what you've done!! Yep, simply amazing!!!❤️🌹

I learnt my lesson quick smart with colours in seed beads, I stick with the metallics now because I use them the most, plus black, white & cream, most of the colours I have I haven't used, I'm just starting with Rivoli and bought 2 sizes in mixed colours in a 12mm and an 8mm so I have something to play with. And I started with 11/0's and just bought 15/0's last week. I also bought some tiny 1x2 & 2x3mm rondelles and next will be the smaller bi cones, I wish I had the money to buy a bit of each but I'll get there. Thank you so much for the tips and tricks because it's helped me immensely 💗💐🙏

Working on my second pair of these GORGEOUS earrings! Used a beautiful Siam red rivoli, along with coordinated 3mm crystals, for my first pair and they're stunning. Had to make a second pair (this time, using a lovely Montana rivoli--a beautiful, steely blue) for myself. Cannot recommend this lovely design enough and, thanks to your superb video, it's fun and easy-to-make, too.

Thank you, Stephanie! I appreciate your advice on bead color / size usage and buying / organizing tips. I also love your list of "ingredients" for the projects. I don't always use the same colors as you, but if I see a bead color I like and would want to use in something else, I can actually buy it, BECAUSE you give us the brand and color name. Great job, as always! And beading with you, in Las Vegas

Hi Stephanie, I was watching so much different video tutorials, but I like your way you teach, I like your voice and your laughing between. I'm German and I understand all your explications very well. You are my favorite teacher on youtube and I have learned a lot. Your projects are just my favorite and I have done some of your wonderful pieces. It is so easy to follow you and I have a lot of projects in my head from you I wanted to do in the early future. Thank you for all the wonderful inspiration!

+Rita Louton Thank you Rita!!! I love teaching! TH-cam presents a special challenge as I can't answer questions in real time or see the piece! So I very much appreciate your kindness and I'm glad to know that I am getting it somewhat right haha!!! Don't let the bezel get to you - it just takes a little practice :) Fight the bezel and win LOL

Stephenie, after all these yrs of beading, I've never bezzeled a Rivoli. These are beautiful. I just might try making these. They are stunning. And the beading tips spot on! Bead on! Summer in MN.

+Summer Thank you Summer! You should definitely try a bezel. So much fun after a few tries lol. I usually don't bezel but those Rivals just said "buy me, buy me" and I listened! So I had to get my bezeling up to speed. Glad you like the tutorial - it was a tough one but I think most of it is pretty clear. Enjoy!

These earrings are so gorgeous! Stephanie--thank you so much or the useful tips.....this video had my name all over it lol, which I don't mind at all! I end up buying small packs of different colors to play with and to see the difference in color; For instance, I just ordered small pkgs of bicones in the red family: ruby, garnet, siam, etc to see what i like, then what i like i will order in different sized stones and bigger pkgs. I always start out with my favorites of black and silver, but then I need to get those in bicones, seed beads, fire polish, rivolis, SuperDuos etc....then decide what I want to make for myself and for gifts and what colors I want for gifts....it's a drawn-out process lol. But I love it and am having fun and one day I hope to sell some jewelry so it's all good :) I also hope to get to attend at least one bead show next year...that would be a dream! Thank you for sharing the informative and beautiful video!

+Tracy Ruth Thank you Tracy! I love your bead buying process :) There is nothing more frustrating than being without the one bead you need for a project so having a plan is a great idea! Hi Stephanie! Thank you so much for your videos! I love the colors that you use and how you explain in detail. I appreciate your advice on what beads to buy for the basics. I also have tried to buy all the beads for certain projects and now have quite a few different beads in different colors and it sure does get expensive and for me, a bit confusing on what colors I should use. Oh boy, did I fall into that trap, so your advice on buying the basics make so much sense! But by gosh I have beads, beads and more beads and never seem to have the right ones to match! Oh did I mention that I have beads! You are the best!

+Deborah Noland We just love our beads!!! There is one interesting thing about beads - you always find a use for them now or later. I still use beads that I have had for years and thought I would never use!!! The basic metallics are a must and I find that if I have them then almost anything can go with them :) Love our beads!!! You are acquiring a bead stash Deborah. Congratulations!!!

I know that this video is old, but I'm very interested in your amount of beads concept and your colours. As I started just a few years back I did the most normal mistake: to buy lots of different beads in all the colours possible. Big big mistake, so I would love if you could do a tutorial of just beads that work with everything, your comments in this video are so good! I have already started to get in the 457, 2006 Miyuki colours and is true they're wonderful useful colours. Hope is not to much bother for you to do one just of the most useful beads, colours, shapes, brands etc, Don't forget the numbers as in Europe is the only way to find them. By the way, I love your videos, works and colours!

Would I be able to continue on and use 11/0 seed beads instead of the 15/0? The 15s are really hard to come by where I am and if I can get them, super expensive. Whereas the 11s are more common but not sure how it would affect this pattern? Many thanks!

+Rachael Scott Your bezel will not close adequately around the stone without the smaller beads😉

Hi Stephanie, I love all your work! Please tell me where you purchase most of your beads? I notice some of the containers holding your beads are not tubes but cases, which seems to hold a lot more beads and I like that better. Thanks

another thing to remember about the crystals is Swarovski announced they are making their crystals with out lead now.... which is what makes them shine! Preciosa is not removing the lead so I will be buying Preciosa and Thunder Polish(cheaper chinese crystal with lead in in it) , because we want th shine...!

+Gwynn Stevens Awww you're so kind Gwynn 😍Thank you!!! I buy delicas and seeds from Fusion Beads, Aura Crystals and Beads, Artbeads, Etsy, even Amazon. The beads I used on these earrings are from fusion Beads. They may not have the same colors now but you should find something close. Hope this helps 🌻

such pretty earrings - the bezel was pretty easy, thanks for another great beading video.
On Charlene's beads there is a 15- Delica dark gold # 4203 - is 4203 the right dark gold?

love your videos! I've tried this but it doesn't peyote as well as yours. did you use all delicas in this video? because my 15/0's are not delicas. thanks! I've tried twice and so frustrated with my piece.

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hi Megan🌻Just about to sign off but saw your comment! Make sure you are using all Miyuki beads. The 11/0,'s are Delicas. The 15/0's are seed beads Miyuki brand, The rivoli is Swarovski 14mm. Is your rivoli Swarovski? There is a detailed materials list is in the description box below the video in case you have a question and I'm not online to answer. Make sure you pull your bezel tight around your rivoli. If you are using Swarovski and Miyuki, it should work. If you are using a Toho or other brand15/0 it won't work. Don't give up😄 You'll get it to work!!! Let me know how it goes💕

Awww that is a bummer😁 When I'm short a couple of seed beads I check my carpet and bead cases or anywhere I might have dropped a bead! Even my table has some strays rolling around 🤓😆😉 Good luck, I hope you find them.

+Henk Wilgenhof Henk - I think a video on beads and finishes and metallics is a great idea! I have been thinking about that for a long time. I will definitely do a video on color matching, bead finishes and metallic beads. I will do this as soon as possible :) Until I do, a few quick tips would be: use permanently galvanized gold beads not just galvanized! Can you believe there is a difference? Yes the galvanized beads need to be permanently galvanized. For earrings use gold filled not plated ear wires. The plated will tarnish. Swarovski is usually consistent with there coatings but remember that any coating can rub off in time. I try to stick to uncoated beads and if its a rivoli I paint it with clear nail polish on the back to keep the coating from rubbing off. More to come on a video. I hope this helps for now!

I don't go shoe shopping anymore, either!! All my money goes into beads, but then I go and give everything I make away!! Giving is so good for the soul, but I really should try selling some of my beautiful pieces so I can at least support my bead-buying habit ... I'm handicapped so going to the markets to sell my jewelry is out of the question (and some of my necklaces & bracelets are $250 & people just don't spend like that at markets anyway). So I wondered if anyone would know how I should market or sell my jewelry from home without having to invest in a website??
